Chapter 14 : Two Filial Sons!!

Genya showed incredible talent right from the start when he threw a shuriken and impressed the Uchiha clan members!

His potential was so clear that they didn't want it to go to waste.

They decided to focus on Genya, aiming to train him into a top ninja. Plus, as they were hired by Uchiha Kinya, their lives were comfortable. They didn't have to struggle like other clan members in Konoha.

With the growing tension between the village and the clan, ninjas found themselves caught in the middle.

Uchiha Zentaro was determined to train Genya well.

"Who wants to go first?" one of the coaches asked.

"I'll go first!" 

At about five years old, he tried the Shadow Clone Technique. But because he didn't have enough chakra, all he produced was smoke!

Uchiha Zentaro gave him some tips and then the next child took their turn. One by one, Uchiha clan children tried the technique. Sometimes it didn't work due to mistakes in the seals or insufficient chakra.

The standout was Uchiha Sasuke, the second son of the Uchiha clan leader!

After three tries, he successfully performed the Shadow Clone Technique.

"Well done, Sasuke! You've got great talent. Keep practicing, and you'll match your brother's achievements in the future!" Uchiha Zentaro encouraged Sasuke.

Sasuke was the most talented of the three-year-olds! While Genya excelled in Taijutsu skills, Sasuke showed exceptional talent in ninjutsu. At just three years old, he could perform shadow clones flawlessly.

Itachi, who was nearby, heard the praise and nodded. Even though his brother was a bit slow, he had the potential to become a top ninja with hard work.

Thinking this, Itachi's eyes gleamed with hope.

Meanwhile, behind a large tree, Uchiha Shisui watched from the branches, pleased as he saw Sasuke performing the hand seals. 

This little guy has great potential and could become a key figure in the Uchiha clan's future!

They are all geniuses.

When Sasuke heard Uchiha Zentaro's praise, he smiled happily and said, "Thank you, teacher!"

After expressing his thanks, Sasuke's gaze shifted to the last member of the team, Genya. The others also looked at Genya, their faces showing a mix of anticipation and mockery. It was clear they were eager to see Genya fail.

"Genya, it's your turn!" Uchiha Zentaro called out, signaling Genya to start.

"Okay, I'm ready!" Genya replied, nodding and becoming serious.

As the wind blew, lifting his small cloak, Genya appeared more mature and dignified. Under the watchful eyes of everyone, he quickly began forming the seals.

Each seal was executed with precision, but there was a noticeable difference—Genya's chakra wasn't stored in his Chakra Reserve, so he struggled to mobilize it according to the seal method. Instead, he relied on his Dual Pupil to see the chakra pathways in Uchiha Zentaro's body and mimic them.

For Genya, the sealing method was essentially decorative.

As Genya completed the seals, chakra began to separate from his cells and flow along the lines of the shadow clone technique. Smoke appeared on either side of him as a large amount of chakra spread out and dissipated.

It seemed as though Genya couldn't control his own chakra properly.

"This chakra? It's overwhelming!" Uchiha Zentaro exclaimed, noticing the massive amount of chakra escaping from Genya. His expression changed in surprise.

Genya had an incredible amount of chakra, almost as much as a Genin or even a Chunin. But with so much chakra escaping from him, it seemed like he couldn't control it. 

Was it because of his physical condition? 

He only thought about it for a moment before focusing on the smoke. This time, Genya's seal technique was precise, and with enough chakra, it should work!

The smoke cleared.

He saw two shadow clones lying on the ground, completely exhausted. They looked less like shadow clones and more like two failed dummies!

"Failed. It looks like my chakra control needs improvement, but I'll get it right soon!" Genya looked at his results and shook his head with a hint of frustration.

The two shadow clones dissipated into nothingness. 

"Haha… What kind of shadow clone was that, Genya?" 

"Did he mess up again?"

"It's better if he can't make them; they're practically useless!"

"I'm dying of laughter!"

The mocking was expected, but Genya was used to it. He shook his head and walked away.

Training was over, and it was time for him to head home.

"How is this possible? It didn't work?" Uchiha Zentaro was surprised, his eyes widening. He thought Genya would succeed this time, but the failure was unexpected. 

The only explanation was that Genya's chakra control was too poor, which might mean he wasn't talented for ninjutsu. It might be better for him to focus on Taijutsu skills instead.

But he didn't want to give up on this talented young ninja with so much chakra. He decided to make excuses, thinking that Genya was still young and would get better at chakra control with age.

"Coach, I have other things to do, so I'm leaving early today!" 

Genya grabbed his small schoolbag, said goodbye to Uchiha Zentaro, who was lost in thought, and left the training ground.

From the ninjutsu he just practiced, Genya had a new understanding of the Chakra Infusion Technique. He suddenly had an idea and wanted to go home to revise his technique.

As he was leaving, Genya glanced at the big tree where Uchiha Shisui was hiding and smiled. "Uchiha Shisui? Interesting! Today, both of the Uchiha clan's filial sons are here!"

"But what is Shisui doing here?"

Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Itachi.

Shisui was a loyal follower of the Will of Fire, but he never intended to destroy the Uchiha clan. Even though he held a high position in Konoha, he always hoped the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, would give the Uchiha clan a chance. 

Shisui even planned to use Kotoamatsukami to change the Uchiha's minds. However, after being ambushed by Danzo and losing a Sharingan, he chose to escape and ended up dying after jumping off a cliff.

Uchiha Itachi, on the other hand, was deeply influenced by the Will of Fire. He personally wiped out the entire Uchiha clan, including the civilians.

This is absurd!

Later, it was explained that even if Itachi hadn't acted, the Uchiha clan would still have been destroyed by Konoha. This argument is ridiculous. Even if the Uchiha were no longer welcome in Konoha and faced extermination, wouldn't Konoha consider the opinions of other clans?

The idea that "lips and teeth are interdependent" applies here. If the Hokage and Anbu were involved in the clan's destruction, other major clans in Konoha would have opposed this and Konoha might have fallen apart.

Even if Konoha was set on destroying the Uchiha clan, if these two filial sons had supported their clan, along with Fugaku who had already activated his Sharingan, the Uchiha would not have been annihilated.

However, many Uchiha members were employed by his father and didn't support a coup against Konoha. Maybe the top leaders of Konoha might have reconsidered their stance!

Genya does not want the genocide to happen again. If he cannot prevent it, he plans to escape with his father and the others.

Survival is the most important thing.
