"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Flame Bullet!"

As soon as Uchiha Gen finished forming his body, his hand seals were already completed, and a massive fire dragon roared as it charged toward Hyūga Kōten.

"B-grade ninjutsu! This little brat..."

Hyūga Kōten awkwardly dodged, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. A B-grade jutsu could already threaten an average Jonin, let alone him, a Special Jonin. If he were hit, he would probably be burned to a crisp on the spot.

"Sharingan, activate!"

Since the battle had begun, Uchiha Gen's belief was that he should give his all right from the start. Hiding his strength was only something you could do if the power gap was large enough, otherwise, it was simply courting death.

"Three tomoe... Impossible...!?"

Hyūga Kōten's eyes widened as he saw the three tomoe in Uchiha Gen's Sharingan. His mind was in turmoil—how could this child, who was only about five years old, already have unlocked the three-tomoe Sharingan? What kind of monster was he?

"If you have time to be surprised, you should worry more about yourself." Uchiha Gen said coldly. Before Hyūga Kōten could comprehend the situation, he felt a scorching heat coming from behind him.

"How could he make the fire dragon turn around?" A brief thought flashed through Hyūga Kōten's mind. However, being a battle-hardened ninja, he reacted quickly. Activating his Byakugan, he took in the surroundings. He immediately saw that the fire dragon he had just dodged was now turning around and charging toward him again.

"Eight Trigrams: Empty Palm Lion's Roar!" Hyūga Kōten quickly gathered chakra in his hand and thrust it forward. A chakra-formed lion's head roared as it clashed with the fire dragon.

"Fire Style: Phoenix Fire Jutsu!" Uchiha Gen launched a set of shurikens, each covered in chakra flames, in multiple directions toward Hyūga Kōten.

But this was still not the end. Uchiha Gen continued forming hand seals. In an instant, three more fire jutsus were unleashed: "Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu!" "Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" "Fire Style: Claw of the Fire Dragon!"

The intense flames surged without pause, and loud explosions rang out one after another. Hyūga Kōten's figure was soon lost in the chaos of fire.

A true ninja knows how to exploit their opponent's weaknesses while capitalizing on their own strengths. Those who rush headlong into an enemy's advantage, knowing full well the danger, usually meet their end early in their career.

Uchiha Gen knew full well that the Hyūga clan's greatest strength was their Byakugan. With it, they could detect the chakra flow of an opponent and accurately judge their movements. Hyūga Kōten had also mastered the Gentle Fist, a close-range style of taijutsu, which was excellent for intercepting enemy movements. For a ninja from the Uchiha clan, fighting a Hyūga in close quarters was simply a death sentence—unless, of course, their head was filled with water.

"Alright, except for that idiot, Uchiha Madara!" Gen silently added as he glanced at the distance, where Uchiha Madara was still fiercely battling a Hyūga Jonin with his long sword.

The Uchiha clan was famous for their Fire Style jutsu, which was known for its enormous power. Even C-grade ninjutsu could pose a threat to a Jonin, so Hyūga Kōten had been dodging carefully. He hadn't felt so helpless in a long time, especially when facing a five-year-old child. It made his anger boil.

While retreating, Uchiha Gen continued to release fire jutsus, maintaining a distance of more than fifty meters from Kōten. Even when Kōten tried to retaliate with distant punches from his Gentle Fist techniques, Gen easily dodged them.

Before he had crossed over, Uchiha Gen had been a Frost Mage in a different world, and kiting enemies was second nature to him.

Using the Sharingan, he observed every move of his opponent. The Uchiha clan's chakra reserves were also legendary. They had immense amounts of chakra, only second to the Senju clan. No other clan in the ninja world could compare in terms of chakra reserves.

"Damn it!"

After narrowly dodging another fireball, Hyūga Kōten cursed under his breath. This relentless, unrepentant fighting style was driving him insane. He gritted his teeth, deciding to push forward, even if it meant being injured. He was going to kill this damned brat.

"Body Flicker Technique!"

Hyūga Kōten's figure vanished instantly, only to reappear twenty meters ahead. He vanished again, closing the distance to less than ten meters, and then appeared right in front of Uchiha Gen.

The Body Flicker Technique was a high-speed movement jutsu. It wasn't difficult to learn, and most large clans had scrolls for it. However, the technique was physically taxing, and most Jonin who didn't specialize in taijutsu couldn't handle the strain, so it wasn't used very often.

By using the Body Flicker Technique, Hyūga Kōten was clearly desperate. He had been forced into a corner by Uchiha Gen and was willing to risk injury just to engage in close combat.

"Eight Trigrams: Empty Slash Break Mountain Strike!" As soon as he appeared in front of Gen, Hyūga Kōten immediately launched his most powerful move, one of his three A-grade ninjutsu.

All of his chakra was channeled into his sword, and with a single slash, he aimed to strike down Gen. Hyūga Kōten was confident that even if his opponent were a Jonin, this strike would cleave them in two.

Uchiha Gen's expression turned serious. He couldn't dodge this strike. But he hadn't planned to dodge. His three tomoe Sharingan spun wildly, locking eyes with Hyūga Kōten. Gen's body suddenly changed shape.

Caw, caw, caw...

Hyūga Kōten's full-force strike only managed to slice a few black feathers. The feeling was akin to slashing at cotton—it was maddening.

A swarm of crows gathered again, reforming into Uchiha Gen's body. "Madara said I could only stall you for ten minutes. Seven minutes have already passed. If I don't finish you soon, I'll have to go help him clean up. So, as much as I hate to end your life, I'm afraid it's time."

Hyūga Kōten was disgusted by Gen's constant tricks. His face twisted in anger as he sneered, "So you're saying, you could kill me at any time, huh?"

Gen shook his head. Hyūga Kōten's mind was already filled with shadows of doubt. But if the roles were reversed, Gen probably would feel the same way. Being kited like this... Gen had experienced it himself before.

"Didn't you notice how eerily quiet it is around here? We're in the middle of a battle, yet there's no other sound!"

Hyūga Kōten froze, realizing the eerie silence. He glanced around in shock and horror, suddenly aware that they weren't in the Uchiha clan's meeting hall at all. Instead, they were standing on a mountain of knives, the sharp tips extending to his feet, making it impossible to move without risking a fatal misstep.

"Genjutsu? When?" Hyūga Kōten thought, his mind racing. He immediately began gathering chakra inside his body, attempting to disrupt his chakra flow and break the genjutsu.

Gen spoke again, "Don't bother. You should have realized by now, when you used Body Flicker to get close and locked eyes with me, you were already trapped in my genjutsu. It's a combination of 'This is not the place' and 'Fox Heart'—both C-grade jutsus I merged into my own custom technique. It's probably B-grade at best. This is the first time I've used it, but it's time for you to meet your end. What do you think?"
