Training Field Twenty-Seven
"Hyyyaaaaa!!!!"
"Haaaaaaaaa!!!!!"
Tuk! Tuk! Sha! Sha! Tuk! Poof!
Listening to the series of sounds that come from the other side of the training field, Sasuke stopped for a moment, then turned back and continued with what he was doing. He took a deep breath as his expression became serious, he flicked both his hands as two Shuriken appeared in each hand.
With Shuriken in his hands, Sasuke looked at the two target faces as he muttered to himself, "This is already the three hundredth attempt, this time for sure…" and then threw the four Shuriken at the same time.
Sha! Sha! Sha! Sha!
Of the four shurikens, two were initially angled at seventeen degrees parallel to the ground and maintained that orientation as they traversed a certain distance. The remaining two shurikens began at a twenty-four-degree angle parallel to the ground's surface. While cutting through the air, they altered their angle with the surface while rotating about their axis. One rotated clockwise, while the other rotated counterclockwise.
After covering a distance, the spinning shurikens' edges collided with the edges of the preceding two shurikens, sharply changing their trajectory at an angle of 69.69 degrees.
Ding! Ding!
This collision caused the previous two Shuriken to be pinned at the dead center of both the target focus, while the other two were nailed on the ground.
Tuk! Tuk!
"Just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke…" mumbled Sasuke as he changed his location and targeted two different target faces. Once again, he flicked his hands as two Shuriken appeared in each of his hands. With just a glance, he calculated the angles, trajectory, speed, and arm strength he needed to apply then threw the four Shuriken.
And just like the last time, halfway through, the spinning Shurikens collided with the other two and changed their trajectory at such an angle that they were nailed at the dead center of the target focus!
Tuk! Tuk!
"Let's give it another try…" muttered Sasuke and attempted a third throw from a different position while aiming at two different target focuses, and everything went the same as the previous two attempts.
After the third success, Sasuke smirked, "Heh, that's level two mastered successfully."
Level two Shurikenjutsu involves changing the trajectory of the Shuriken using a single collision, the next level would involve two collisions which is ten times more complicated than the previous level.
'Let's start with Level three…' thought Sasuke as he collected all the Shuriken and started practicing level three Shurikenjutsu.

The same Konoha Ninja Academy, the same classroom, and the same seat.
The same instructor standing by the podium was talking about the escape route, "In cases like these… always make sure that you have an escape route, this is especially important if you are in a four-man team…"
Without paying much attention to the important stuff the instructor was talking about, Sasuke closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then he tried to sense the different Chakra signatures in the classroom. Recently, he has started studying Chakra Sensing in an attempt to develop his sensory skills.
While all shinobi are capable of sensing Chakra when it is especially powerful or used in large enough quantities, only the sensor-type shinobi have the ability to sense Chakra at their own discretion.
Of course, with enough training, everyone can develop their innate sensory skills and become capable sensor-nin, but it's not as easy as it appears unless a person is born Sensor-type. Being born as a Sensor-type is indeed a bit rare, but it is not unheard of, quite a lot of people are born as a Sensor type and go on to develop their skills.
Uchiha Sasuke is one such person, he was born as a sensor type, and he has already started to develop his Sensory skills, and it's not without a good reason.
Naturally, being a Sensor-type is a pretty useful skill to have as a Shinobi as Sensor-type are increasingly difficult to get ambushed, however, that's not Sasuke's current main motive behind wanting to develop his sensory skills.
Being always in the dark and not knowing who is watching you is not a very good feeling, and he wants to overcome this problem.
It has already been more than three months since the night of the Uchiha Genocide, and to date, he doesn't know if someone is keeping watch over him from the shadows or not. He has never ignored the possibility of an Anbu shinobi or a Root shinobi keeping watch over him all the time, this is why, he is always acting in extreme restraint, even to the extent that he has never once used his Sharingan except for the day he regained consciousness in this world.
No, even though he has already cleared the Obstacle Course and plans to use that thing to adapt to the dynamic vision of the Sharingan, he has yet to do that because he fears the possibility of the Anbu watching over him and learning about it.
Call it him being paranoid, he just doesn't want to take the risk of letting a possible enemy find out that he has already awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan at such a young age, it would raise the vigilance of many people in power.
In fact, it's not just about Sharingan, he hasn't started to develop or learned many useful Jutsu that he plans to eventually learn either, heck, he had also made sure that his Shadow Clone never leaves the apartment, it's always the real him who goes out, never the Shadow Clone just to make sure that his learning method doesn't get discovered!
This is not to say that he has wasted these three months, no that's not the case either. He has been doing things such as developing a knowledge base about Nature and Shape Transformation, Genjutsu, One-handed hand signs (Still not completed), Enclosing Jutsu, basics of Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu, Taijutsu, Body Flicker Jutsu, and other stuff, but learning theoretical stuff is one thing, and actually mastering Jutsu is another. The primary reason he hasn't done that so far is because he doesn't want to let a potential enemy know his set of skills.
In this world, information is power, unless power levels differ significantly, those with information about enemies' skills and abilities are the ones who win.
Of course, Sasuke knows that giving false information or in his case, limited information to the enemy is also a very good idea because incomplete information is far more dangerous than a complete lack of information, as it gives others a false sense of superiority and security, however, that doesn't mean he agrees with giving away information about all the skills and abilities he plans to learn.
If all the information about his skills and abilities is constantly being fed to the potential enemy, it's better to not develop those skills at all! In this manner, not only would he be able to take the enemy by surprise by learning those skills later date, but the other party wouldn't be overly vigilant either.
But then again, he has a limited time of only five years to become strong enough to be able to kill Sarutobi Hiruzen, otherwise, Orochimaru would snatch the prey from him, and Sasuke cannot have that. He needs to find a method to work around the person spying on him, and in order to do that, first he needs to figure out whether someone is really keeping a watch over him, or is it just him being paranoid and him being overly cautious?
Once he figures out whether there is really someone from Anbu watching him, he can devise a plan to keep them busy with his Shadow Clones while his real self can bypass that person and train to start developing the skills he actually wants to develop.
One of the reasons why he hasn't done this up until now is because he wanted another person to think that he knows everything about the person named Uchiha Sasuke.
If someone is indeed keeping a watch over him as he suspects, then by observing him for the past three months, they would have come to understand Uchiha Sasuke's habits and daily pattern, so as long as he doesn't deviate from his pattern, the other party would continue to think that there's nothing wrong with the situation and he wouldn't think too much.
Three months is more than enough for a person to develop a false sense of control, and Sasuke believes that now it would be easier for him to throw off that person, hence, only now did he start to take countermeasures, and it all starts with him developing his sensory skills.
Coming back to the topic of Sensory Skills, as Sasuke closed his eyes and tried to feel the presence, he did not feel anything. This is because no one was actively using Chakra at the moment.
Talking about Chakra sensing, how does it even work? How does a person sense another's Chakra and distinguish it from person to person?
Based on Sasuke's understanding of Chakra, everyone has a different Chakra signature. While the Chakra signature of parents and child might be similar in color and wavelength, it would never be the same, there would be some difference even if it's very minute.
Now how do people pick up on these colors and wavelengths of different Chakra signatures and distinguish them from person to person?
Sasuke isn't sure whether this is true or not, however, he has come to understand Chakra sensing by relating it to physics.
"Perhaps it would be better to call it Ninja Physics, huh?" he mumbled with a thoughtful expression.
From the point of view of supernatural ninja physics, just like heat, Chakra is also a form of energy, which is an undeniable truth, and just like heat energy, Chakra also emits electromagnetic waves in the form of radiation that falls in the wavelength spectrum of electromagnetic waves. The stronger the source of Chakra, the longer the wavelengths making it possible for everyone to pick up on these wavelengths even at longer distances, conversely, the weaker the source of Chakra, the smaller the wavelengths and the more difficult it becomes for people to pick up on these wavelengths at longer distances.
Ninjas emit these Chakra Wavelengths at all times other than the time they are specifically shielding their Chakra. Sensor-type specializes in picking up these emitted Chakra Wavelengths akin to mobile reception towers, and since each person emits a different wavelength of Chakra, therefore, it becomes possible to distinguish them from person to person.
Of course, there are multiple other factors such as Chakra Nature dominance and other things that are also at play through which people like Uzumaki Karin can even detect the 'coldness,' 'warmness,' and 'evil' nature of Chakra that is characterized by the Yin and Yang Nature of Chakra, anyhow, from a broader perspective, this is the basic mechanics (or maybe optics? Nah, maybe not…) of Sensory Skills.
For him to become good at Sensing Chakra, he needs to become better at picking up these waves constantly emitted by different individuals. When trying to sense the Chakra of his classmates, Sasuke assumed that even if he didn't pick up other's chakra, he would at least pick up on Naruto's or to be more precise, Nine-tails' Chakra, unexpectedly, he did not pick up on Nine-tails' Chakra, 'Is it because the seal Yondaime used to seal the Yang half of Nine-tail inside Naruto shields its Chakra unless he is specifically using it?'
This ought to be the only explanation, otherwise, considering how absurdly strong Nine-tails' Chakra is, it should be possible to sense it from the other half of the continent just like everyone did during the fourth great shinobi war.
Since he was unable to sense anyone's Chakra in the classroom, Sasuke decided to change his approach, 'Trying to sense everyone's Chakra at the same time might not be the best way to start… especially because I do not know their individual wavelength… perhaps I should start with trying to sense one person's Chakra…' with such a thought, he focused his senses on Hinata sitting beside him.
He had kept his eyes closed, so initially all he saw was darkness, and as he focused his senses on the introverted girl sitting beside him, suddenly a small dark violet flame flickered in his vision much to Sasuke's surprise, 'Hinata's Chakra, is it also a shade of violet?'
His own Chakra is a darker shade of Violet leaning toward purple, therefore, Sasuke was surprised that Hinata's Chakra is also a shade of violet, though hers is a lighter tone.
The color scheme of Chakra is quite similar to VIBGYOR where Violet represents the Yin dominant Chakra while Red represents the Yang dominant Chakra this is the reason why when the Eighth Gate of Death is opened, red chakra vapor surrounds the user as they are exchanging their life force for strength, the deep red vapors of death are the most potent form of Yang dominant Chakra. In this same manner, the fact that Naruto's Chakra is yellow and tilts toward orange is also explainable as his Chakra is Yang dominant. Of course, the color of Chakra is also a little bit associated with personality, but that's a discussion for another time.
'Although Hinata's Chakra leans toward violet and is quite potent in that regard, it's not very strong… or maybe, intense is the right word for it. But, I guess compared to the rest of the children in the class, her Chakra is definitely the third-strongest,' thought Sasuke as he shifted his senses to another person in the classroom.
