Chapter 6 Arrogance

Hidden Mist Village.

Mist is protected from a surprise attack from behind by the Rokkō Mountains, which are located to the rear of the village.

A large number of islands dot the landscape of the Land of Water, and the nations that border it are Fire and Lightning.

Lightning, in particular, has the potential to launch a surprise strike from behind, but these Mountains shield the Mist from such an attack.

Immediately adjacent to the Mountains is a large open field, and it is here that newly graduating Genin are instructed by their Jonin Instructor.

This large field, which is also known as the Rokkō training area, is well-known across the village.

It was still early in the morning, and the mist that had blanketed the village was gradually dissipating as the sun climbed higher in the sky.

Aokiji jogged to the training area, his breathing calm and consistent the entire distance.

Ichiro sat on the boulder, wiping the sword in his hand, and Mei held two long bones in her hands, cutting them around as she practiced.

When he received no response from his teammates, Aokiji didn't care much and sat on the side.

Aokiji and his colleagues heard a voice and saw Daikichi arrive clothed in his customary outfit just as he sat down.

The three of them rushed up to him as Daikichi pulled a scroll from his Ninja Bag.

"You've learned in the Academy that Genin, Chunin, and Jonin are assigned assignments based on their Ranks."

"Genin generally works on D and C level missions, but I won't take up your time by doing other people's chores,"

"In order to become powerful, you must fight difficult fights, which is why we will leave the village today to complete this Mission."

After shaking the scroll in front of them, Daikichi handed it to Mei and motioned for her to read the contents aloud.

"Kill the rogue Ninjas on Iki Island who are robbing and murdering the locals."

Mei took the scroll from the Daikichi and quickly unsealed it, reading the contents of the scroll aloud in her icy tone.

"This mission is difficult; we've already lost two Genin squads, but I'm joining you this time."

Aokiji addressed his teammates who were preparing to go.

Although he knew these kids were full of themselves, to work as a team they needed to cooperate a little at least.

Mei and Ichiro went, leaving Aokiji speechless.

Thought Aokiji with a speechless face, knowing how difficult it would be to get along with pompous kids like Mei and Ichiro.

Aokiji also left the training grounds and returned home within a short period of time.

He hastily stuffed a few sets of clothes and scrolls into his backpack and made his way to the village's entrance.

"All right, let's go."

When Aokiji came, Daikichi and the other two were already waiting for him, and as soon as Aokiji arrived, they all took off.

"Have you learned to walk on water?"

Daikichi sat in the boat, looking towards Aokiji and his colleagues, preparing to instruct them if they didn't.

The boat was propelled forward by Daikichi's Ice clone, bringing them closer to their destination.

Iki Island was a small island near Mist Village; the people who lived there were nearly solely civilians, and the island was under the authority of Mist Village.

"I know how to climb trees, but I still don't know how to walk on water."

Aokiji and Ichiro nodded, but Mei had yet to perfect it.

The Kaguya Clan was a crazed clan; all they knew was fighting, thus anything that required them to use their heads was difficult for them.

Daikichi was not surprised; if Mei had known to walk on water, he would have been surprised.

Daikichi started training Mei right away, while Aokiji and Ichiro sat by and watched as Mei fell in the water over and over again until she finally got the hang of it.

It wasn't long until the teaching session came to a conclusion, and they also reached their destination.
