Chapter 8: The last Sorrow

It's been another two days since Sasuke has been living in the Konoha hospital. At this time, he was thinking about his clan and Itachi. However, he thought he couldn't come to the conclusion where Itachi could kill his whole clan.

'Well. Even if Itachi has different eyes from the others in the clan, it's not possible to kill all the Uchihas as silently as he did. He also killed father and mother; how can he kill father. He's the Uchiha clan head. He said that he didn't kill me because I'm insignificant, so I am not worth killing but he also killed the other kids of the clan.'

'However I think I can't find the reason. Is he under a genjutsu? Or is someone controlling him? Yeah. This is what happened. Itachi won't do something like this. I should believe in him. And why all of this is happening only Itachi can answer me. I will grow stronger and ask him these questions myself.'

Sasuke has already decided all his future paths. He must know all the truth from Itachi and if it's possible he wants his only relative back.

Today is the last day he will be staying in the hospital. His observation period is over and he's all clear to go home. But he was thinking, 'Home? But I don't have one anymore.'

At this time the Third Hokage, Hiruizen Sarutobi came with his Anbu guards. He still had the sad look on his face. He tried to smile a little seeing Sasuke and asked,

"Sasuke-Kun. How are you, now?"

"I am fine, Hokage-Sama. Is there anything you want to know?"

"Yes. Even if it hurts you, I came to tell you that as the investigation is still going, I decided to declare the Uchiha compound as a forbidden zone in the village and seal it off. I have also arranged an apartment for you near the centre of the village and you will be given a monthly allowance."

Hearing this Sasuke became silent and looked at the ground for some time and said,

"I understand Hokage-Sama. But can I go to the Uchiha compound for the last time?"

Hiruizen replied with a sigh, "Yes. I will allow you that but for your safety an Anbu will follow you."

"Thank you, Hokage-Sama."

After saying this, The Hokage didn't leave. He seems to be pondering on something but couldn't decide whether he should ask or not. Seeing this Sasuke looked at the Hokage and said,

"If you want to ask something you can ask me."

"Well. Sasuke-Kun, what do you think about Itachi?"

Hearing this Sasuke went silent for some time. He was not fully clear of his thoughts, but he decided to know all the answers from him, and he thought that the Hokage is trustworthy, so he decided to tell him.

"Hokage-Sama. I don't know why Itachi did all this but I'm sure Itachi wouldn't do something like this. He told me to become strong and have the same eye as him, then he will tell me why he kept me alive. I want answers from him. Based on his answer I will decide whether I should kill him or not."

Hearing this, the Hokage thought about something and nodded to Sasuke,

"Then you will have to train hard to become strong like Itachi."

"I will Hokage-Sama."

Then the Hokage nodded and started walking off and said,

"Tomorrow morning there will be an Anbu who will accompany you to the Uchiha compound and to your apartment."

< The next day >

Sasuke is just discharged from the hospital and is still in front of the hospital waiting for the Anbu Shinobi. Suddenly, an Anbu came in front of Sasuke with a flicker and said in a cold voice,

"As per Hokage-Sama's order, Uchiha Sasuke follow me to the Uchiha compound."

Looking deeply at the Anbu deeply for some time, Sasuke nodded and followed him to the Uchiha clan compound.

After some time, they arrived in front of the Uchiha compound. Sasuke halted his footsteps and looked at his clan and saw that the whole clan is now full of seals. Maybe after his visit today it will be hard for him to come here again.

Then he started to follow the anbu again. He wanted to visit his home. For the last time he wants to drown in the memory of his family. After walking for another 5 mins, they came in front of Sasuke's house. The anbu didn't say anything the whole way and even now. As if he was giving Sasuke time to reminisce.

Without saying anything Sasuke went to his home. He started to walk towards his parents' room. He was shaking, he didn't want to see his parents'dead body again. He knew that while he was unconscious the village held a burial ceremony for the uchihas. But he still felt fear remembering about that night.

He opened the door slowly with his shaky hand. But he didn't see any bodies. The room was clean. It seems everything has been cleared. But also at this point, Sasuke couldn't hold himself anymore. His eyes automatically started to water. He couldn't bear it anymore. He started to cry. All the memories he made with his parents started to come to his mind.

All of a sudden, he remembered once his father told him, "Remember Sasuke. An Uchiha never cries. We may feel sadness and grief in our heart but that will only make us stronger."

"I am sorry father. This is the only time I will cry. I will make sure to never cry again and I will seek answers from Itachi for all the things he has done."

[A/N: These past few days, I was thinking hard, but I am suffering to make some decisions, like should I make both Naruto and Sasuke stay in the village or should I make Naruto join Obito. So gimme your opinions.]
