2: First Day

(From this chapter onward, David will be known as Kiba)

It was the morning of Kiba's first official day in the world of Naruto, but Kiba wasn't excited. He was rather anxious, he didn't want to go to the Ninja academy, but he knew he had to.

Kiba stared at himself in the mirror, his first day at the Ninja academy was coincidentally today. His hair was disheveled and he looked tired.

Kiba sighed as he looked at himself. "Why am I so tired?" Kiba whined to himself, but he was diligent in his hygiene. He showered, brushed his teeth, and groomed himself.

Currently he was wearing a white t-shirt with the Inuzuka clans symbol imprinted on the back while the word 'Inuzuka' was imprinted on the front. He also wore black shorts and blue Ninja sandals.

"Woof! Don't forget about me!" Akamaru barked.

"What?" Kiba turned in response to the shout, but nothing was behind him. Kiba sighed and just as he was about to turn back around, the shout came again.

"Down here!" It shouted again.

Kiba looked down and he saw Akamaru, his Ninken holding a black jacket between his teeth.

Kiba stood there, flabbergasted at the sight of hearing a dog talk to him. That was until he remembered that he was Kiba Inuzuka, this would've been normal for him.

"It's your first day at the academy, you can't forget about me!" Akamaru barked wagging his tail.

Kiba gave an exasperated smile as he took the jacket and put it on. He then grabbed Akamaru and sat him on his head.

'Kiba usually sits him up there so I don't mind. It's actually kind of fun.' Kiba mused in his head with a smile.

This was Kiba's first time actually exploring his home, he's only ever seen his bedroom and the bathroom. Kiba walked through the house and soon enough he made it to the dining room.

"The sleepyhead's finally awake. I almost thought you were gonna be late for your first day of school." Kiba looked over, and sitting at the table was his mother, Tsume Inuzuka.

She stood up and tossed Kiba a backpack. "It's already packed, just grab the letter from your bag and you'll find out your classroom and Homeroom teacher. Your lunch is already packed and there's an apple inside for your breakfast. Don't worry, I also already fed Akamaru his breakfast." Tsume covered all the bases, Kiba didn't have any room to question anything. He just nodded and went out the door.

Kiba was thinking to himself as he walked to school. 'What should I learn first? Learning the Inuzuka clans special techniques seems like a little bit too much right now.' Kiba thought as he took a bite from his apple.

'But, I could focus on their side techniques. Like the 'Four Legs Technique'....or just learning basic chakra control and physical training.' Kiba sighed silently to himself, taking another bite from his apple.

'I don't even know how to control chakra, nature transformations are definitely impossible.' Kiba sighed even harder, he tried to take another bite from his apple, but he already ate it all. He sighed and gave Akamaru the core to snack on.

The rest of Kiba's walk to school was silent as he was lost in thought. He decided that immediately after school, he would train.

"Woah...." Kiba's jaw dropped. In front of him was the school he's only ever seen through his computer screen. It was finally hitting him, he reincarnated into the world of Naruto.

Kiba gulped nervously, his heart racing. He slowly walked up to the red double doors, and placed his hands on the doors. Slowly he pushed them and....

"Will you hurry up. Times not slowing down for you. What a drag..." Someone dragged Kiba from his fantasy.

Kiba turned and saw two kids standing behind him, Shikamaru Nara and Choji Akimichi. Shikamaru sighed as he stood there with his hands in his pockets while Choji was snacking on a bag of chips as he stood next to Shikamaru.

"My bad." Kiba giggled nervously as he quickly opened the door and entered the school building.

Right behind him were Shikamaru and Choji. Kiba found the silence as they walked through the hallway quite awkward, so he decided to make some small talk.

"So who are you guys? I'm Kiba Inuzuka, and this is Akamaru." Kiba pointed toward the puppy sleeping on his head as he introduced himself and Akamaru.

"I'm Choji Akamichi, and that's Shikamaru Nara." Choji introduced himself and Shikamaru as he took a handful of chips and shoved them into his mouth.

"I could've introduced myself, Choji. I'm not that lazy." Shikamaru sighed.

They continued their small talk until they made it to their classroom. There was an awkward silence as they entered the classroom.

"Oh, you're here just in time. Go find some empty seats and we can begin." Iruka had a smile on his face as he gestured the trio toward a few empty seats in the front of the class.

The trio sat down at the front of the classroom. Kiba looked around noticing all the younger appearances of characters he's only ever seen through a screen.

Subconsciously, a wide smile grew on Kiba's face. He wanted to change the fates of everyone in this classroom. He wanted to save them from the fate of wasted potential.
