The Other Side!

{Sunagakure's base camp}

Chiyo looked around at the damage left behind by the explosions around their base camp. Several tents were burned down and quite a lot of shinobi were burned. She looked on as a Jonin brought forward an unlucky genin who was the one closest to the blast.

One look into his injuries and Chiyo knew that there was nothing she could do to save him. The amount of burn damage he had suffered was too much to heal and was a bit beyond her. Logically she shouldn't even try but looking at the lost look on Jonin's face she decided to give it a try.

'The war hasn't even begun yet...' Chiyo thought as she bent down, the green glow of medical ninjutsu started flickering over her hand. Unlike Konoha who had a fully-fledged medical system, Sunagakure hasn't produced any excellent medical shinobi.

They still had to rely on the jutsu their spy in Konoha could siphon out without giving away his identity. The green glow in her hands was very unstable and she had to concentrate a lot harder to heal the genin's injuries, after 10 minutes of not seeing any massive improvements she sighed and stood up.

A shake of her head caused the jonin to look at his student in dispair, as she looked up another jonin had the same bitter look as he cradled another small form in his arms.

"There is too much burn damage, they were too close to the blast. Go to the medical tent and tell them I prescribed them an anesthetic..." Chiyo spoke and the two Jonin flickered after a nod.

While the damage Hikaru's explosion did was confined to structural damage, there was nothing she could do as she saw the morale tank a bit as everyone saw the state of their base camp.

She walked toward the command tent at the center of the base camp, almost everyone noticed her arrival but no one said anything. Her wild temper is known to everyone in the village, only her brother dares to approach her and ask, "I heard you encountered the enemy and then he ran?"

"It was a shadow clone... fucking tree huggers and their idiotic jutsu," Chiyo cursed as she stared at the map to hide her frustrations. She has had it with Konoha and the prodigies that sprung out of nowhere.

'That bastard (AN: Sakumo) is quite young too... if this goes on then in another decade or two Konoha would simply wipe us out.' Chiyo bit her lip as she looked at the locations marked on the map. While she had begun to study medical jutsu quite recently, what she was really proficient in was puppetry.

The reason she was given the task of learning the medical ninjutsu by the third Kazekage was because of her excellent chakra control. She could control 7 puppets at the same time, which was not only a result of her excellent chakra control but also her sharp mind.

"We need more intel, the brat clearly recognized me that's why he ran... if we go headfirst against Konoha who knows that we have the puppetry division here then we will lose the initial battle. According to '1' Tsunade has trained more medical-nin so our advantages would slowly decrease over time..." Chiyo spoke.

She was the battlefield commander of this post so her words were akin to law, until it was time for the Third Kazekage to join the battle she was responsible for Suna shinobis.

'The problem of difference in medical ninjutsu needs to be solved first otherwise we'll lose quite terribly.' Chiyo thought as she turned to her brother.

"Contact '1' tell her time's up, we need all those jutsus if we want to survive..." Chiyo ordered.

Ebizō nodded as he went toward the messenger division, he looked at Chiyo in concern but he decided to not say anything. 

'What's done is done, we are already against Konoha so there is no point in backing down now. Kazekage-sama agreed to the war too so he must have a plan.' Ebizō thought as he wrote a small message and then he summoned a small scorpion. The scorpion opened its mouth and swallowed the scroll.

The Third Kazekage was the strongest in Sunagakure by a margin, that's why Suna was confident in participating in this war.

'So what if Konoha has medic nins, our poison can keep their medic nins busy. And along with Chiyo, me, Kazuo, and Kazekage-sama, we have four people that could hold the armies of Konoha back and let the poisons do their work.' Ebizō thought.

He looked around as the perfect blue sky was covered up with the smoke produced by the burning tents, he gave an order, "Get the base camp in order, and get sentries all around the camp, cover at least 1 km around this area for now." Ebizō spoke.

"Understood!" "Understood!" "Understood!"

A lot of cries immediately responded to the order as everyone began to work. The hatred in their voice wasn't enough and the conviction was lacking but two people's eyes had already changed as revenge was the only thing on their mind.

Ryuu was one of the Jonins who had lost his student in the blasts just now, he slowly walked up to the command tent and waited. The meeting in the tent lasted a long time and then one by one the upper tier of Suna's military started to retreat to their own tents.

Ryuu stayed posted as he waited for Chiyo-sama to leave, his stance was rigid as he waited in agitation. After another 15 minutes, Chiyo walked out of the command tent as well. Her gaze immediately landed on Ryuu's figure but she ignored his bent-down figure as she kept walking.

"Please," Ryuu spoke, his voice was hoarse which caused Chiyo to stop. 

"It was a shadow clone of a kid around 10 years old, he was from the Uchiha clan," Chiyo spoke and then she walked away. She was aware that Ryuu was bowing again as he pushed the murderous thoughts in his head down.

'I'm not 100% sure that he was from the Uchiha clan but those dark hair and onyx-black eyes were unmistakable.' Chiyo thought.

Although the contrast was a bit too much she knew how Ryuu must be feeling, after all, she too was hunting another brat. Though his hair color is significantly lighter...
