17 17 Mission

Konoha Entrance Gate.

It was another clear morning, the cool breeze making it quite a chilly morning, though this not much of a concern of three figures standing a little outside the huge wooden gate.

Shinku, Sayuri and Naoki, all three had the konoha headband tied on there forehead, the first dressed in a red combat gear, the sword fixed at his back.

Sayuri was wearing the usual creamy colour battle gear, her hair tied into a pony tail, if no one focused on her lazy eyes, they would find a heroic aura around her.

Today Naoki wore a dark blue jacket with a white shirt underneath, dark pants reaching his ankles, a ninja bag tied on his waist.

At this moment both Naoki and Shinku had there focus on Sayuri, who was talking.

"Usually we would have gotten enough time to learn how to cooperate with each other while doing D-Rank tasks"

"But now that we didn't get the opportunity, we have to learn to cooperate as quickly as possible, on a C- Rank mission and above, life is on the line after all"

Said Sayuri with a rare serious look in her lazy eyes as both Shinku and Naoki nodded, agreeing with her.

Seeing her teammates both seemed sensible and easy to talk with, a look of relief appeared on her face but nonetheless she continued speaking.

"We have seen each other fighting during the combat exam, if you focused on my fight you would have noticed that I prefer using other means rather then a head on approach"

"In the battle, I would like to stay behind to come up with strategies, you can trust me on that"

"Though if you have any objections, please state them"

Said Sayuri looking at them.

Both Naoki and Shinku shook there head in response, indicating they had no problem with her staying behind.

"Good" Nodded Sayuri at there response but still didn't stop talking.

"The frontal battle, If you like I hope you handle it Shinku-kun, Naoki-kun I would like to you to go offensive and defensive according to situation"

"it's rare for someone aspiring to be a medical shinobi to have extraordinary fighting ability as well, your versatility has the potential to help the squad a lot"

Said Sayuri while praising Naoki, if he wasn't a medical shinobi, she would have asked him to handle the frontal combat, after all he had defeated Shinku.

Hearing her request, both Shinku and Naoki gave each other a look before nodding.

"We are fine with that!"

"I won't let your trust in me go invain!"

Said both of them at the same time, Sayuri thanking with a sincere face, both of them hadn't questioned her much and agreed to do what she had said, naturally she wanted to prove herself.

Said Danzo who appeared before the three like a flash, praising them as whole time he was present and had heard everything.

"Sensei!"

The three seeing him appearing greeted immediately, the joy of being praised deep in the eyes of shinku and sayuri, after all just eight years old.

"Our destination is Omizo Town, I'll explain the current known mission details on the way!"

"Follow me!"

Thup!! Thup!!!

Saying that, Danzo waved his hand and sped up suddenly, running on the dusty road that lead to the huge forest at some distance.

Without wasting any time, the three also started running, following Danzo, soon the four disappearing into the forest.

Inside the forest,

"A day ago, at half a days distance for a ninja from Konoha, Omizo town was raided by bandits, the town fought back and eventually drove the bandits away"

"In the fight, lots died and even more were injured, the task we received is to rescue someone related to town chief who was kidnapped by the bandits during the fight"

"There are also speculations of a ninja involved in this accident"

In the forest, the squad of four jumped from one tree to another, Danzo who was leading calmly explained the contents of the task they were supposed to complete.

"Sensei, did the bandits ask for ransom for the kidnapped person?"

Questioned Sayuri with her eyebrows raised, if the task was to rescue, the the town chief must be sure that the kidnapped person was still alive, she guessing probably they had asked for ransom.

Naoki who was just a little behind Danzo nodded at Sayuri's question, he had come on a similar conclusion.

"Yes, and tomorrow is the deadline to pay 5 million ryo to get the kidnapped person back, such a huge amount is naturally impossible for the town chief to pay, especially after the town was attacked"

"So gathering what he could, he payed the amount to issue a B-Rank Mission, rescuing the kidnapped person and bringing the head of every one who attacked the town to him"

Told Danzo more details, the anger of the town chief clearly visible in them.
