Konoha.

Minato, Jiraiya, and the Ambu team jumped between the first houses and could finally see the devastation that had occurred within the clan.

"This... What kind of fight happened here?!" Jiraiya couldn't help asking, seeing fire spread around the place, giant craters on the ground, houses destroyed, extending the destruction to hundreds of meters.

"I don't know, but we're about to find out." Minato landed on the ground and put his finger on the earth. "There's a large group of people in front of us, but half of the clan is dead..." He murmured, looking at all the bodies in the streets, especially those dressed as jonin.

He continued with the group and finally found the Uchihas huddled in one place, at least those who survived.

The chuunin took a combat stance seeing the group approaching, and Minato approached. "It's the Hokage!" An Uchiha ninja exclaimed, trying to feel more relieved.

"What happened here? What was all this destruction and killing about?" Minato asked already with a headache.

"Itachi Uchiha betrayed us!" An Uchiha exclaimed with hatred in his tone.

"Not just him, a masked ninja was with him." Another spoke.

"Masked ninja?!" Minato quickly asked, surprised. 'Could it be him?!' He thought about the night of the fox's attack.

"Yes, he used a strange jutsu, our attacks passed through him, and I saw him killing several Jonin with Itachi by his side! He also had a sharingan!" A gennin spoke, still remembering the terror.

"He came back? And attacked the Uchiha clan this time?" Minato frowned.

"Is it the same ninja from the day of the fox?" Jiraiya raised an eyebrow to his student.

"Same ability and same appearance..." Minato spoke and looked at the rest of the Uchihas, there were at least two dozen ninjas, the rest were civilians and children, the girl who was saved by Naruto was again with the other children. "I want you to help them get out of here safely. I want another team to find any survivors." Minato spoke and turned back to the middle-aged chuunin with the activated sharingan.

"I heard that a ninja fought against people trying to kill Uchihas, is that true?" He asked.

"Yes, Hokage-Sama, I don't know where he came from, but he saved the children and fought against the masked one, the fight was quite intense, he could move at a speed that even my sharingan couldn't react to, and I saw him throwing a kind of light from his hand creating explosions, I've never seen anything like it, when the fight got too bad to be near we had to retreat, he continued fighting and explosions began to happen in the center of the place, until a red giant appeared." He spoke seriously.

"A red giant?" Jiraiya raised an eyebrow.

"I can't say what it was, I've never seen anything like it, but he clearly fought against the small man, because I saw the same explosions going against the giant, the fight was something I've never seen before, every move the whole complex exploded and shook." The chuunin spoke, still remembering that surreal fight.

"That's quite strange... You don't remember anything else about this strange man, other than his short stature and strange abilities?" Jiraiya asked.

"No, he wore a cloak hiding his head, nobody could see his head, but he had blue eyes, I would say he was even a child if I hadn't seen those strange jutsus!" The chuunin exclaimed.

"I see, thank you, let's go sensei, I want to see the battlefield." Minato spoke and they proceeded to the devastated area.

"Minato!" The Third Hokage appeared at that moment dressed in his battle attire.

"Third Hokage." Minato responded with a respectful nod.

"What happened here?" He asked.

"An attack by Itachi and the ninja who attacked the village more than 6 years ago when I had to face Kyuubi. But you can stop this act, I know you're involved in this attack as well, Third, you and the elders were talking about how dangerous it was to keep the Uchihas in the village, Itachi always leaned more towards your side and Danzou's, I know he wouldn't massacre an entire clan without reason." Minato looked at him angrily.

"I..." The Third was trying to defend himself, but what could he do, everything was pointing towards him.

"My student is right about this, sensei, if you are involved in this, I will stand by him. Massacring an entire clan? You might not like the Uchihas, but this is too much." Jiraiya also spoke.

"Now is not the time for this, I want to know who fought against the assassins and how he appeared in the village, because there shouldn't be someone like that. But tomorrow we will talk among all the elders." Minato spoke in the same tone and leaped to the battlefield.

While Minato was studying the battlefield and seeing the explosion marks from the pika pika no mi, black flames of amaterasu burning in some places, and the marks from Itachi's Susanoo sword.

In a corner of the village, Danzou was not in a good mood.

"Are you saying our entire team was killed! Itachi failed, and half of the Uchihas survived, and we can't take any of the sharingan from those who died?!" Danzou growled in his chair, not believing what he was hearing.

"Yes, Danzou-Sama... The plan failed, and someone killed all the root ninjas leaving no survivors." Said a ninja who infiltrated to gather information from the investigations.

"The entire team dead?! How is this possible!" Danzou shouted, this was the biggest blow he had ever suffered in his life, losing more than 40 elite ninjas would weaken him more than anything, and now he had been discovered, he was a target of suspicion.

"Hiruzen won't be able to hold back the Hokage, we must act." He said with a tone of frustration, but he could do nothing but plan now.

Hours passed while Naruto was hugging his sisters and mother.

"Mom, I think it's over, nothing happened after those explosions..." Sora commented.

"I hope so, my love." Kushina said, patting the girl's head.

At that moment, Minato appeared with a flash. "Dad!" The girls screamed seeing their father come to them.

"Are you okay?"

"Was there any powerful ninja, did you face him?"

"Stop this, my girls, let me see how your mother and your brother are as well." He said, approaching Kushina and Naruto.

"Minato, what happened?" Kushina asked with some concern.

"There was an attack, Itachi... he attacked his own clan..." He said, sighing.

"Itachi, that boy?!" Kushina was shocked.

"The Uchiha clan? We have some Uchihas in the class..." Mizu murmured.

"Yes, they are quite arrogant, but isn't Itachi Sasuke's brother?" Sora asked.

"It's hard to explain, we found Sasuke alive fallen outside the war zone, but his parents were killed, it's very likely it was by Itachi, we can't know what happened until Sasuke wakes up." Minato said.

"That's terrible..." Kushina said.

"Well, now let's go to bed, the danger has passed, tomorrow I have to continue the investigation." He said, dismissing the children. Mizu and Sora reluctantly returned to their room while Naruto walked to his bed.

As soon as Kushina and Minato entered their room, she turned to her husband with a shrewd look. "This was a tragedy, but I know you didn't tell everything in front of the children." She commented.

"No..." He said, removing his clothes and leaving them on the bed with his wife, "The entire clan was supposed to be exterminated, and they could have done it. There were even ninjas from our village killing Uchihas." He spoke.

"What?! Who would do such a thing..." She asked, worried.

"It all points to Danzou!" Minato growled. "Moreover, Itachi was not alone, that masked one returned!" Minato again spoke with anger in his tone, which he is not accustomed to doing.

"That ninja!" Kushina also spoke angrily.

"Yes, Itachi joined him, this time to eliminate the Uchiha clan." He commented.

"But you said he couldn't eliminate the entire clan, what happened?" Kushina asked.

"Somebody appeared..." Minato said, lost. "No one knew of his appearance, but he shone and moved so fast that nobody could react. He eliminated all the ninjas that we believe were from the root and who had put up a barrier at the place. He managed to stop Itachi and the masked one somehow, but he left the place without a trace. We don't know what happened to him, Itachi, or the masked one..." Minato spoke.

While Itachi and Obito used kamui, Naruto leaped up, leaving no trace in any direction they might have gone.

"That's worrisome, isn't it?" Kushina murmured.

"Very, whether this ninja, good or bad, was hiding in the village and must have discovered the disturbance before acting against Itachi and the others..." Minato spoke, frowning.

Meanwhile, in another place, thousands of kilometers from the village.

"Ahhh..." Itachi groaned in pain, while covering his eyes with his hands from the intense pain.

"You overdid your use of the Mangekyō Sharingan." The masked one spoke calmly and continued. "But I don't blame you, that guy was just a kid..." Obito placed his hand on his chest, still feeling the pain of his heart being pierced. 'I almost died to a kid tonight...' He thought, frustrated. He had to rely on Black Zetsu to help him in the following moments; otherwise, he wouldn't have survived. "The boy, he's the Fourth Hokage's son, isn't he?" Obito might never have seen Naruto, but he certainly remembers his appearance in his father.

"Yes, his name is Naruto Namikaze." Itachi responded, trying to breathe and open his eyes.

"That child cannot grow up... no one should have that much power at that age, he didn't even seem like a child..." Obito spoke in a somber tone. He can't let powerful ninjas emerge in the world to interfere with their plan, and he recognizes that Naruto could become even more dangerous than his father.

"..." Itachi said nothing.

"Anyway..." Obito returned to speak. "We'll follow the plan, you enter the organization, and I'm going to sort some things out in Kiri." Obito spoke. He had already arranged for Black Zetsu to introduce Itachi into the Akatsuki, while he would have to deal with his puppet and the uprising that was emerging after Obito organized the purge of the clans with Kekkei Genkai.
