This would have been one of those days, Tagon, would have talked him out of what he was feeling at this moment.
He kissed Narika, not that it was intentional.
Ofcourse, it's intentional Adrik, stop lying!
His subconsciousness bellowed at him, making him know that this was not an unintentional action. He had been wanting to do that ever since he saw her.
Maybe it had to do with her uncanny resemblance to Polina, but it was no secret that he was attracted to her. Why won't he? She's practically a doppelganger of his babygirl.
He isn't in love with her, no he can't he?
Whilst he's still trying every means, to push what has happened at the back of his mind, Adrik knew that it would be best getting his head cleared off her by visiting his family.
He can't stay in his palace, with no one to talk to. Tagon was probably still mad at him for hitting him, and it's all because of her too. This is to show how fucked up he's getting because of that little human.
He has firstly appeared in his mother's room, he met her sleeping form on her bed. His poor sweet mother had seen him on several occasions, but his dad didn't believe her.
He didn't know how to face his father after all these years, it was clear it was his fault that he ruined everyone's expectation of him, by falling in love with the enemy's daughter.
But his father wasn't calm unlike his mother, who would have vouched for him and Polina if he was still alive. But anyway, he knew that time would only tell when he would finally reveal himself to his father.
He had to save his mother from this humiliation. It's obvious that everyone thinks, that she's going insane because of what he had done.
He sat beside her, and patted her hair softly. Adrik felt a lump forming on his throat, but that was just his normal emotional self trying to get a better hold of him.
This was a side of him that had been locked away for years, but can be only revealed when he's close to his loved ones.
"I'm so sorry, mother." He apologized, kissed her cheeks and stood up as his cue to leave for his room, but stopped in his tracks when something caught his eye from the window.
Not something… someone.
He disappeared from his mother's room, and appeared in the hallway and met a surprised Sakura who gasped when she saw him.
"Ad..rik," She stuttered in fear, more like her trying hard to pretend that she didn't follow him, all the way from their world up here.
He wasn't one who paid much attention to gossip, but Sakura had been finding it hard to adjust ever since his engagement party with Narika.
He had heard one of the maids talking about this early this morning, but he could care less what she's feeling. She knew better than to have developed any feeling, for him in the long run of their undefined relationship.
"What are you doing here?" He grabbed at her arm in an angry tone that had her hissing at how rough he had held onto her.
He was someone who values his privacy, no one except the Overlord knew everything about him. To which he doesn't mind, but Sakura didn't mean anything to him and she knew that too.
"I wanted to talk to you," she said, closing the space between the both of them. She was trying to seduce her way through, but when his hands went further to her throat and pushed her harshly, against the wall, she knew that he wasn't finding this funny.
"And stalking me all the way to my parents house is the right thing to do, huh?" He roared, reminding himself that this was the Overlord's niece that he had against the wall.
Does he also need to remember that he was in his parents house, anyone could walk in and see the both of them. But that wasn't a problem, since he could easily wipe their memory but Sakura had pissed him off enough to care about all of that.
"What do you want from me?" He asked, his hold on her getting more tighter which made her retaliate by tugging at his hand that was on her neck.
"I..let me go," she pleaded, she didn't want to hurt him. She loved him, but the dark aura emitting off him had her think otherwise. He looked scary, just like Lucifer.
"Did your uncle send you to tail my every movement? Tell me!" He shouted, but this time she used her powers and pushed him off her but her joy was short-lived, when he went for her again.
But this time, she had the upper hand and tugged his hands free from hers, before saying," I couldn't bear the idea of seeing you with her," she confessed.
"What?"Adrik's face scrunched up in ignorance,"What do you mean?"
She closed the gap between the both of them, and took his hand into hers while he watched her with all seriousness.
"Call off the engagement with her? Take your claim off her," she said, more like ordered him to listen to her, and when he understood what she meant. He scoffed.
"You must be crazy,"He tugged his hand from hers, it was as if her words tipped off something in him. Who was she to tell him what to do with Narika?
"She isn't Polina, we are better off without her." Sakura added, but this time she was so lucky because Adrik jerked her forward," Do you have a death wish? Speak her name again and you will wish you never met me,Sakura, I dare you!"
He pushed her away from him, her tears didn't soothe anything in him. So, as she turned to leave, her last words made him confirm that Sakura had indeed gone crazy.
"Then it's better i get rid of my obstacles, when I'm done . I bet you will look my way."She said, and tried to run out of the house, but Adrik was fast enough to push her back and she landed across the flower vase that shattered instantly.
She was going to hurt Narika, and he couldn't have that.
Sakura stood up, and attacked him trying to get her way out of the house, but there's no way a mere ghost like Adrik would have the upper hand against the general.
That's what she thought, until she fell on the chair in the sitting room, with Adrik coming to hover over her with his talons on his hand stretched out to the point, that it was ready to cut through her heart, until a soft feminine halted his movement.
"Adrikkk!"
