I watched my sister leave in anticipation and dread...it couldn't be true...it just couldn't be. There was no way that Chun-Ae knew what Da-In did to her...I made my way back to my room where my servant was waiting for me in bed. After Seon-Ho dumped us in this unfurnished place with no servants I was lucky enough to hire some...but the home we were placed in was completely crowded. There wasn't enough space for all the servants I need alongside my sister's...and Chun-Ae had a few sent over from the palace mysteriously...and that lowly Hyo-Sonn girl, well she was a servant herself so she did everything by herself. She was lucky she was even with us, she was only good for messing around with her as she used to be the closest to that epileptic wench.
I had played up my usual tricks and tantrums but not one soul paid the slightest attention to me. A lot of our parents friend's had distanced themselves from us since my paren't murder...they stayed away from us like we were a curse. Even their businesses weren't doing so well...in fact I was almost...broke. I sighed and looked around at the luxury I was able to afford a few months ago...the very thought of having...to pawn my things and live like that pathetic Hyo-Sonn...I would rather die in my jewels than live a life like that.
"What's troubling you my lady?" My servant asked me as he was carrying out some chores for me in my room. "Myself and my foolish sister...we may have been tricked into this whole situation" I sighed deeply, trying to mask my true feelings "what do you mean?" He asked in confusion. I looked over at him; he was handsome and built...but not as much as my so-called 'husband' I had noticed. He was a curious man, but he had no ambition...unlike the man that kept himself either with his soldiers or with his family..."my sister may be getting her karma right about now, and I might get dragged down with her." I started thinking about the very thing I had put off for years. What if the truth came out? Or if it did a long time ago and that's why Chun-Ae suddenly rose to power in the palace and banded us all together? Hyo-Sonn had a lot of grudges against that Yeon girl and they worked together for me before that was understandable...but she was just as in love with Seon-Ho as my obsessed little sister was. And I knew she treated our cousin badly at the Nam mansion, so why did she recruit her as well? Was it really to get Yeon to know her place and take her bastard chidden with her? Or was it for something else?
I was so lost in my own thoughts and fears that I didn't even realise that I was thinking out aloud for a while "my aunt dared to lower herself to marry a commoner a long time ago. And Da-In...well she had a bad experience with a commoner in her early childhood. A group of my father's ex employers tried ti kinda her for a huge ransom for only a day or two but she was traumatised enough. But anyways...sure enough my aunt's husband fell into debt and they had to stay with us for a little while. We all hated him and did everything to make them both feel unwelcome...well what did you expect? We had a lot of people in our circle laugh at our situation, even Seon-Ho's father. My sister couldn't take that because she was so obsessed with his son...she wanted to be the perfect candidate as his son's bride...so she told my parents that our 'uncle' was doing bad things to her alone. My uncle bribed a few people to expand his debt by almost triple the amount in a short time. People started harassing his family when they couldn't find him; he couldn't pay in time. His family were sent into exile first...and then sold into slavery. He killed himself in our home. Chun-Ae...she was only about 7=8 years old when my mother had no choice but to kick my aunt out before she could leech off of us any more than she already did. They were on the run for a long time before they found shelter in Ihwaru...people started gathering to my aunt when they found out she was a part of our family...in the end the customers wanted 'both girls'...in the end she was killed and raped by some drunkard..." I trailed off, not knowing it would be my biggest mistake.
