Prologue

The small girl screamed at the top of her lungs, tears pooling from her eyes as she ran, leaving behind the bloody mess which she had been in for the past five years, being used as some sort of an experimental guinea pig. She ran and ran, tears never stopping as she climbed over uplifted parts of the earth which happened during a fight or something.

The girl kept running, legs trembling and hiding her eyes, whimpers escaping her mouth as she tumbled down, rolling in front of a large property with many places she could hide. The small child didn't know how to read but something inside her was telling her to stay out, maybe it was the large, wired fence, maybe it was the smell of blood but it was either hide or be killed back where she was once they found her.

The small child, now covered in dirt, blood and tears crawled through a hole in the fence which she probably shouldn't be able to fit through at her age. She bolted, ignoring the ache in her legs, the burning in her spine, she ran, trying to get out of that place which had her chained up in a room.

She was out, but she was terrified. The small child hid behind a large rock, sobbing as she curled into a ball, her thin, blue lab dress had been torn to the point it was no longer wearable, her long brown hair having now become so dark with dirt you wouldn't even know what colour it was before. Her eyes were the only thing that would give her away, beautiful sapphire blue eyes which sparkled in any light and the red sclera which surrounded them thanks to her ability.

The girl covered her eyes with her hands, hoping no one would see them, hoping no one else would die at her hands, during this she didn't notice a man dressed in black with matching blue eyes and a mop of red hair walking towards her. The man silently crouched down and hummed, taking in the image of the small girl, the lab dress all too familiar for his liking.
