Prologue - Our Nakaba High School

Delinquents...Nerds...Weirdos

All over the world there exist men and women that are treated as outcasts by the rest of society. Some for looks or personalities, some for their hobbies and interests, and others for simply being a bit...out there.

At the dawn of the 21st century, in an ordinary high school in Japan; A series of events is about to unfold, one that will bring together those who are outcasts even among outcasts...

Into a group with the potential to change the world.

Nakaba High School, famous for being a so called "School For The Students". It was founded several years ago by Nakaba Shinjou, a man who believed that schools existed for the sole benefit of those who wished to attend. As such, it is an institution where students have a disproportionate amount of freedom compared to others in the region. For this reason, it has attracted a wide variety of students from a variety of differing backgrounds and personas.

It was the second day of school at Nakaba high, and a lone student was standing in the centre of the school grounds on that cool April morning. As his schoolmates poured in through the school gates, they could not help but turn and stare.

As the school rules state that any kind of hair colour and accessories are allowed so long as they wear approved uniforms, it was not uncommon to see students walking in with odd hairstyles or flashy jewellery. However this student in particular had gone a little beyond what most of Nakaba's students were used to seeing.

Upon his head was what looked like a golden motorcycle helmet with a visor shaped like a pair of oversized sunglasses. It had three small horns protruding out of the forehead and a gaping maw with vicious fangs patterned below the visor. It was as if he was a demon dressed up in a school uniform; staring intently at the school with a fierce, yet somewhat excited expression.

"So this is Nakaba High…" he whispered.

Finally noticing the stares he was getting, he glanced to the right, instantly prompting passers-by to avert their eyes. He turned to the left and was met with the same reaction.

"Hmph…so it's the usual huh?", his helmet hiding any trace of irritation that may have formed on his face, the masked youth sagged his shoulders and followed the crowd into the school building.
