Chapter 91: Black and White

I looked at the time and saw that it was 3:00 am, and in the room was everyone sleeping peacefully. "Why did I wake up..?" I stretched my arm and stood up to look for something. "I need to go to the toilet."

I decided that it would be better to take the toilet outside than the toilet in our room because I can talk to myself privately.

While I was walking in the hallway of the hotel, I looked at the window and saw a silhouette standing on the fountain. "Huh... Is that Milicas?" I couldn't see the face of the silhouette again, but I can clearly see that it's humanoid. "Meh, I'll try going outside after I'm done talking to myself on the bathroom mirror."

I finally got to the bathroom and washed my face with cold water, I looked at my face in the mirror and saw how stupid-looking I was.

"*Sigh* I still haven't found it... I still feel inferior to my friends..." I wonder what it could be?

My first thought would be my adoptive parents; Beryl Mimasaka and Spinel Mimasaka, the second is Haruki Hotaru and Haruki Mimasaka; myself, the third are my best friends Homura Suzuki and Asahi Kishimoto, but I can see that I'm wrong..." All those three are wrong answers to what Asherah told me to find... But I think I know another pair that can help me find it, but I can't go outside since that monkey might kill me.

I pointed at my reflection and said. "Okay Haruki, now's not the time to think that! We still have to impress the Japanese Gods right now!" I washed my face with cold water again and ran back to my room.

I was near the hallway where I saw the silhouette outside, so I stopped running and looked at the window.

The silhouette was still at the fountain; sitting on it, he or she was touching the fountain's water while looking above the starry sky.

Today is summer in Japan, it just turned June 22 today here on Earth, since I lived in Sendai I got to see the famous Tanabata festival always.

The festival starts on July 7, I wonder if Luna, Dawn, Lucas, Zephyrus, and I can see the festival together, and maybe before we erase Homura and the other's memories we can bring them with us to have fun.

I can already imagine what Luna and Dawn would look like if they wore a kimono. "Yes, I'm excited to see them wear one-"

Wings...

That's what I saw, wings... After I imagined what Luna and Dawn would look like wearing a kimono, I saw the silhouette having wings.

The silhouette wings shone brightly, it was beautiful to look like with its white color.

White color? Yes, that's what I saw. It's not the color black like that of a fallen angel and it's certainly not bat-like wings that a devil has.

Because it has feathers with the color of white; like that of a dove you could say.

"Wait dove?!" No way, it's an angel!

I ran outside immediately to stop the angel, I didn't have time to wake up the others because it might be late before the angel starts attacking.

This is bad... I thought they would start attacking in July?! So why are they here now?!

I was panicking right now, because if Dagda miscalculated the day they will come, then it could bring trouble to us here in Japan.

Bang! I destroyed the door when I pushed in a hurry, I didn't give a care if I destroyed it since confronting the angel is more important than that.

"Ignisvem!" I summoned Ignisvem on my right hand and jumped above to deliver a blow to the angel's head.

It hasn't noticed me yet.

Its wings were huge enough to cover the angel's body which is why the angel hasn't noticed me. "Take this!" I shouted at the angel.

The angel finally noticed me and put back the wings to its body, it looked at me and I was shocked to see who it was.

I immediately let go of Ignisvem and crushed to the angel.

We rolled to the ground from the impact of my fall and when we stopped rolling she was on my top and her face was near mine.

"Haruki?!" She said in surprise.

That person I saw with the angel's wings was someone I didn't expect to be, I didn't know how to feel when I saw her with those wings. I couldn't describe what I'm feeling right now. "Luna..." Yes, Luna was the angel that I saw.

The same girl I'm friends with, the same girl who I fought alongside, the same girl who helped me train, the same girl who I saved, and the same girl that I care about is actually an angel.

Luna immediately stood up after she noticed what has happened, her body was stricken in fear for what was about to happen next because she doesn't know what I would do to her.

She was looking behind her to find a way to escape, while I was just sitting on the ground in shock at what I saw.

"Luna..." I said to her in shock. I couldn't find the right word to say next right now.

"Uhmm." Luna looked above and let out her wings.

I was hit by her wings and she flew above very fast, and the wind pushed me. "Wai- wait!" I shouted as loud as I can so that Luna could hear me, but she was already far.

Thinking about it now, I was asking myself how stupid I am, I couldn't do a thing to stop her from running away.

I'm here frozen from fear of what I saw, after all, Luna who is an important friend of mine, was all along an angel, an enemy of a devil.

My mind is in a blank state right now, I don't know what to do anymore; I'm completely confused about what decision to make.

Do I chase after her? Or not? But... But... But... Why am I still not doing anything..? I'm stupid... I can't even move right now...

Clap! Clap! Clap! Someone was clapping behind me with joy, and with a smile he said. "How amazing Haruki, making a girl cry, seriously... It's amazing to feel betrayed again isn't it?"

"Milicas... Did you know of her being an angel..?"

"Yes, of course, Haruki. Everyone and I knew of Luna's true identity as an angel, only you are the only one who doesn't know."

I clenched my fist in anger and pain after hearing what Milicas has said. "Why?! Why?! Why didn't anyone tell me about this?!" I'm confused about why didn't they tell me? Is this the reason why? Is it because I can't face the truth of knowing that she's an angel? Is that it?

"We did what Luna wanted and it is to stay quiet about this; to not tell you a single thing of her being an angel, because you know why?"

"I know... It's because I'm weak, I can never be on equal footing as my friends and I can't even accept the truth, that's the reason why she didn't tell me..." I'm not as sensible and strong as them, all my life being a devil is just being protected by them.

Milicas gave me a confused look and laughed. "Is that what you think it is? I guess it's normal for you to answer that because of what you're facing right now, second Adam." Milicas went closer to me and walked around in circles while looking at me in the middle. "Oh, Haruki Hotaru, the almighty King of Hell, the child of the former Demon King Jarren and Demon Queen Xuntea. Oh, how he fell low, finding out that his parents are snakes, finding out that some Archdukes are snakes. Oh, how he fell low, feeling inferior to anyone he knew."

Milicas stopped and went closer to my face, I was tensed by hearing what he said, but I was like before, I was shaking and frozen. "Oh how poor Haruki Hotaru is, he hurt a friend for being dense, he couldn't find a way to help her, so he stayed still... Now, what are you gonna do the poor angel King Haruki?" That's what he whispered to me.

Just by Milicas' words, I only know what has to be done. I have to find her, I have to find Luna and bring her back, after all, she's someone I love and care for, Luna is someone dear to my heart, she's an important friend like anyone else.

"Thanks, Milicas, I now know what I needed to do!" I revealed my wings and flew above the direction that Luna went and looked for her.

[Zadkiel POV]

Slam! The table slammed in front of Zadkiel and he was shaking from fear of what was gonna happen.

He was inside his bedroom and the one who angrily slammed the table was none other than the Archangel Jophiel, she was bewildered by what happened in the kitchen with the Goddess of Beauty Freyja. She shouted in anger at Zadkiel. "Hoy Zadkiel! What was that about?! Why are you lovey-dovey with Lord Freyja?! You know that's forbidden right?!"

Zadkiel couldn't respond to Jophiel's question, because he was afraid of making her more angrier.

"Why aren't you answering me Zadkiel?! Answer me by looking at me in the eyes and telling the truth!"

Zadkiel looked behind him to check at the others to ask for help, the ones who were behind him were Cassiel who was just casually eating a dumpling that Zhao Yun brought for them, and Zhao Yun looking at him with a face that says 'sorry, can't do anything about that'.

After seeing the two coldly decline his offer for help, Zadkiel bowed in despair to Jophiel. "I promise! Lord Freyja was just using her skill to control me!" Even if it hurts my pride as an Archangel of my Lord Yahweh, lying is all I can do right now to save my life.

Jophiel stared at Zadkiel angrily in the eyes while Zadkiel was just almost in tears in fear of losing his life right now. She let out a deep sigh and said. "For now I believe you..."

Zadkiel became happy after hearing that his lies got through Jophiel. "Really-"

"But!" Jophiel disturbed Zadkiel from finishing what he was supposed to say. "If Lord Freyja starts hitting on you again, message our Lord okay?"

"Yes, I promise to do that." He said while bowing on the ground.

Knock! Knock! A knock came from the door. "Zadkiel, may I enter your room?" Hearing who was the person that was knocking outside Zadkiel's room, everyone immediately stood up from fear. "Yes, my Lord!" Zadkiel said.

Yahweh entered Zadkiel's room and was surprised to see the three people inside. "Oh, I didn't know that you three were here."

"I'm sorry my Lord, we'll immediately leave-" Before Jophiel was about to finish her sentence, Yahweh cut her off and said. 'Don't worry, the more the merrier they said."

Everyone eases up after hearing that from Yahweh, and Zadkiel asked in nervousness. "What do you want from me, my Lord?" He politely asked.

"Since you four are going to Japan to fight for us, I have a secret task for you 4 to do and I don't want you to tell this to the other Gods got that?"

"Yes my Lord!" Everyone replied.

"I have 2 tasks for you four to do, first: During the angel's scouting at Japan, they found traces of Camael with a few fallen angels staying there and it is also implied that he was with Satanael, Mammon, Azazel, Baphomet, and Lucifer Milicas. If you ever encounter either one of them, I want you to retreat and don't start a fight with them, because having more enemies for us would do us no good and could cause us to lose this attack, got that?"

"Yes, my Lord!" Everyone replied, but Zadkiel and Cassiel who knew about Yahweh's involvement with Camael and Satanael's betrayal, were holding their wrath right now, they knew that there's a reason for Yahweh to order them that, and it might be because Satanael and Camael are planning something that Yahweh ordered them to do.

"Second thing that the angel discovered is that they found a lost angel, here's the photo that they've taken." Yahweh took the photo from his pockets and showed it to the four.

Both Jophiel and Zhao Yun didn't recognize who the angel in the picture is, but Zadkiel and Cassiel were horrified when they saw who the angel in the picture was.

Just by the hair and her face, they knew who it was: Luna, the same person they worked together with on Hell and the same person that they knew Azrael deeply cared for the most because they knew that Luna is the daughter of their brother Azrael and a half-undead named Cianna.

"When the scouts were checking on her, they found something weird about her presence that stood out different from any angels, and is that she has 4 wings."

Jophiel and Zhao Yun were shocked by what Yahweh said because they knew that an angel with 4 wings meant that it's not an angel but an Archangel, while Zadkiel and Cassiel weren't surprised by what Yahweh said.

"Also, there's a slight difference about her wings that differs from an Archangel, and it's that she has both wings of an angel and a devil."

The room became silent when everyone heard that, both Zadkiel and Cassiel were hiding their knowledge of this, while the two Jophiel and Zhao Yun became tensed from what they heard.

They knew that it's already abnormal for them to find a hidden Archangel that even their Lord Yahweh didn't know existed, and now they were in utmost shock from hearing that the mysterious angel's wings were not 4 dove-like wings like the Archangels, but instead she has both the wings of both black and white; the wings of both a dove and a bat, and an identity of two enemies fused into one.

"She could only be a hybrid of both angels and demons; other known as a Nephilim, well since this is the first time we saw a Nephilim with 4 wings, we'll call her an Archnephilim, and I want you to bring her here in Heaven, got that?"

Everyone replied softly. "Yes my Lord..."

Yahweh smiled at the 4 and left Zadkiel's room and the 4 sat on Zadkiel's bed in despair. "An Archnephilim? I don't know what to say, this might be called a legend, because one existing is close to impossible." Zhao Yun said in distraught. "You guys, what do you think about her? You know that she's no ordinary Nephilim right?"

"We know..." Jophiel said while shaking. "After all, she's not a true Nephilim at all, but something far worse than that."

Nephilims, are known as monsters in the history of the creation of the Bible, a Nephilim is an offspring of demons or fallen angels with a human, and in the past Nephilims roamed the Earth and cause destruction to their surroundings.

But, a Nephilim born from that of a human and a demon is what the Gods and angels called fake, they were not true; they were just monsters since none of them have intelligence at all, they were just formidable stupid beings who could die any second. But, when a true Nephilim is born, it could cause unimaginable destruction by having the power of both an angel and a devil, true Nephilims are something that the Gods called a legend far more stronger than any ordinary beings, to the point that they recognize their strength as something that can equate to a God's power.

Now that they found out that a true Nephilim is roaming the Earth, the two knew that they can't turn a blind eye to this, they knew that failure is not an option, especially since that Nephilim has four wings.

Zadkiel could only let out a smile knowing that this is troublesome since his goal right now is to protect Luna from the two.

He snickered in pain and whispered to himself. "This is gonna be harder than I thought..."
