ARO POV:

These beasts seemed to be taller than me by just laying down, they had blue fur that seemed shiny, which seemed to be the plush comfort that I awoke to. They had wide strong legs, a long stout, teeth that extended from their mouths like saber-tooths, a large head and a very muscular body.

As they were sleeping, my mind was running a mile a minute, thinking about how I was gonna get away from these beast. All that was in my mind was running away, I didn't seem to think that if they were gonna devour me they would have done it already or that they would not get cozy with their prey. After minutes of analyzing, I was able to find a way to get out of the huddle that was made around me. Before me lay 6 of these beasts each bigger than the rest, I tried my best to squeeze out from them and silently moved out of their encampment.

Getting out from the middle of these beast pile was one of the hardest things I had to do. I finally sneaked away silently and after a few minutes, I saw the entrance of the cave and it was at that time I made a dash for it to get as far away from them as possible. 

I eventually made it out of the cave and not more than a few steps out of the cave, I heard the howl of numerous beasts behind me, the howl seemed to have brought a shock wave because I was hurdled forward in the snow. I was stunned in position, by the time I was able to come back to myself the beasts were already in front of me sitting on their hind legs with swishing tails.

I watched as the beast in front of me cock their heads to the side, which in this situation was not supposed to be funny but even though I was terrified , the chuckles came out unconsciously. This somehow prompted them to move forward, that startled me and caused me to scamper back with a look of fear. This caused the beast to halt, I continued to watch them only to hear;" are you ok, Aro?" a voice resonated in my mind. Stupor and surprise flashed in my eyes as I spun around to look around in all directions.

My confusion increased, because there was no one around me but the beasts that stood before me. Thinking that, I somehow seem to have been struck by lightning as I faced the beast once more.

"Was that you?" I asked in a small voice, with a hint of instability. My mind flashed with thoughts but none of them seem to come out with the idea that I may have known these beasts. "Of course, is there anyone else around here?" the voice once again resonated in my head. 

This time I was able to confirm that the voice indeed came from the beast because I watched as the beast that stood taller than all the rest turned to look around. Again the head of the leading beast was cocked to the side, as if he was wondering what was happening.

Finally confirming that these beasts could speak through what seems to be telepathy, I calmed down. The revelation forced the memories that seem to be hiding from the forefront of my thoughts when all of this first started from in the cave. 

Names materialized in my mind. " Yi Shou, Er Shou, San Shou, Si Shou, Wu Shou and Liu Shou" I called out and watched as the beast moved forward individually. The fear and confusion seem to have blocked out the memory of me naming these 6 beasts and treating them as friends over the years that me and my grandparents visited this mountain.

I started laughing to myself, these beast probably now have in their heads that I am losing my mind. My body heated in shame and embarrassment, I moved towards each of them to pat them furry heads. "Is master now ok?" Er Shou asked in my mind, I turned to her to nod my head in confirmation. 

Having that all sorted out, I motioned for them to follow me to the tree, I had passed to get some more fruits to eat while we journeyed up the mountain. After regaining most of my memories and the ability to use my powers, the cold that haunted and tormented this mountain seemed to become extinct as I could no longer feel the cold.

Minutes after me and the Yi beasts I considered friends trudged through the snow with many Snow Apples in tow, with us trying to carry as much as possible.
