Myth of a Dragon

Our protagonist, Zeke, is a normal student who got dragged into another world through a portal. But to his surprise, the deity actually didn't mean to include him! "Hello guys, I've decided to pause this novel for the time being. This is partly because I'm mostly occupied by school but for the most part, it's just me losing motivation to continue this. Maybe I'm just burnt out from all the stuff, but it really felt like a job for me to continue posting chapters, unlike for the previous months. I don't know when I'll get the interest to continue this, but I will (I hope) try to continue this in the future, when I get the 'drive' again and if I have lots of free time. Thanks for the interactions and see you next time! I hope by the time I go back, my sched won't be that hectic anymore haha."

Prologue

'What a boring day.'

Zeke thought while walking towards his classroom. Today is just like every other day for him. As he was going home, he realized he forgot his book under his desk.

'hm? looks like my classmates are still in there. What a hardworking bunch.'

Zeke is a lazy and lousy student. He only does things that he feels are easy to do and not time-consuming. He even skips cleaning duties as he feels that he's not needed there. Despite that, his classmates never got angry with him. That's because he's the ace of his class. He's the smartest in his class and he was also the one representing his class in various school competitions. Therefore, even if he's lazy, his classmates never bothered him as they too 'understood' why he lazes around.

'Who would even be enthusiastic about school when you already know what the teacher is saying. It's just like a waste of time for him'

'Sigh. If only I could have at least 50% of his comprehension skills. Maybe I'll even skip studying and just find a job that fits me.'

'Our ace should just rest and leave this kind of menial task to us. He carries us in competitions, it's the least we can do to help him.'

If Zeke could hear his classmates' thoughts about him, he would probably not know whether to laugh or cry. It was a big misunderstanding for them. Zeke's too lazy because he's bored with anything he does. There's a void in his heart that he can't even fill up. It's like all these activities can't even quench the boredom he feels. He participates in competitions and tournaments just so he can slightly relieve his boredom, but after all of it, he would just go back to being bored.

'What's going on? is this a prank? What the hell?'

As soon as Zeke entered the classroom, a white light suddenly filled his vision as felt his consciousness slowly drift away.
