Heat

"You." He pointed at me. "Follow me, now." I bit my cheeks in frustration. What does he want now?

I sighed heavily and glanced over at Liam, he gave me a fighting sign and I gave him a soft smile.

I stood up and followed Asher, ignoring the death stare I received from Sheila, well he is mine anyway, know your place biatch! Hehe.

We walked further away from the crowd into the library and I became a nervous wreck. What does he want to do to me now? With the expression on his face, I could tell he was pissed, but why though? I haven't done anything wrong, I've done nothing but ignore him, isn't that enough for him?

We entered inside the library and he took my hand and dragged me into a secret room, my eyes widened at how spacious the room was but looked like a little storage shed from the outside. I yelped as he pushed me against the wall and blocked me from moving around with his hands. He basically caged me there, feeling extremely hot, I avoided his face and just stared at the door.

An overwhelming rush of sensation washed over me, my senses were heightened to an almost unbearable degree. The scent of my mate filled the room, an intoxicating and irresistible aroma that drew me closer . I became extremely hot and sweaty, it felt as though my body was on fire and I was suddenly thirsty.

My body ached with a deep, gnawing hunger. It was as if every nerve ending had been set alight, and an insatiable longing pulsed through me. I shut my eyes as the ache centered in my core, I gasped for air as I tried to control myself from devouring Asher.

He did nothing but stare at me, his eyes held an unreadable expressions, observing me as I writhed in pain. Then he sighed.

"I don't know why this is happening but I think you're in heat." My head dropped.

"Heat? I'm a man, how can I be in heat?" I swallowed hard.

"You're my mate, anything is possible here. I smelt you from miles away which means you've been in heat for a while now, probably since this morning."

"It hurts." My whole body ached. "make it stop hurting, please.." I begged.

"You'll be in heat for 5 days, this will be the last time I show myself to you during this period, I'll see you again after 5 days. You are to remain here once you are in heat, after you feel better, you can go back to your friends." He turned to leave.

"You can't leave me here like this! You're the reason I'm in pains, do you hate me so much that you can't even be with me in moments like this? I-I-I need you now." I felt tears form in my eyes and I let them pour out since I wanted Asher to see how vulnerable I was.

He stared at me lustfully, his eyes drifting towards my lips, and then back to my eyes. I felt a bit of hope build up in me as I slowly moved closer to him. Then his cold expression was back and he took one step backwards.

"The only way to make the pain go away is by having sex with you, I am yet to accept you as my mate, what makes you think I'll have sex with you? Like I said, stop being delusional. Stay here and don't cause others any more trouble."

Then he walked away, leaving me completely shattered, needy, angry, sad and in pain. With shaky hands I picked up my phone and dialed Liam's number, after a few rings he answered.

Not being able to voice my words well, I took a deep breath and tried again.

"Li-Liam…I-it…hurts.." I sobbed.

"Ryo? Ryo what's wrong? Where are you? What happened? Talk to me, where are you?" His concerned voice rang in my ear.

Not knowing how to describe the place for him, as another wave of pain hit me, I screamed out loud and immediately dropped to the ground, crying.

"I-I'm in the library Liam, a se-se-secret room. I'm in he-heat s-so Asher locked me in here. It hurts so much." I wailed.

"Hold on okay, we're on our way. A secret room in the library, does anyone know about a secret room in the library?" He asked who I assumed to be Chester and his mate.

Another wave of pain hit and I wrapped my hands around my knee and screamed out in pain, nothing made sense to me right now, I was just fine a fewer minutes ago, it was as if the heat was triggered by Asher's touch. That bastard! How could he leave me here like this, I hate him!

Another wave of pain hit, but this time it was as if my insides are being ripped out by a knife and I screamed at the top of my lungs as my body began to shake violently, I suddenly felt dizzy and numb. My heartbeat slowed down and I bit my cheeks hard , drawing blood as I tried to endure the pains. Tears flooded my cheeks as I sweated profusely.

The pain finally relieved me a little bit and I sucked in air like someone who had been underwater. I layed limb, anticipating the next wave of pain when Liam's voice rang in my ear.

"We're here Ryo, we're in the library, no one is here, can you hear our voices? We're calling out to you now, can you hear us?" His panicked voice sending waves of laughter through my ears, I smiled and listened carefully for their voices, then I heard them.

"Yes, I can hear you guys." I whispered, losing my voice.

"He can hear us, what looks like a door around here guys? Can you describe the entrance of the roommate Ryo? Are you there?" He asked.

"Shed." Was all I could say before slowly loosing consciousness, then I heard Kia scream.

"I found it." Then the door bursted open and I saw Liam, Kia and Chester freeze almost immediately.

Holy cow! Are they affected by the heat too?
