Battle of Sokovia

After a couple hours on the quinjet we finally arrive in Sokovia. On the way here Cap gave a strong and motivational speech to get us into gear before we are dropped off at different point of the city. Bruce and Thor are sent to Strucker's base to rescue Nat and discover what Ultron is up to while the rest of us are in the city trying to evacuate the people. It might have been no more than ten minutes since we've been here and Tony had already encountered Ultron. We can hear what he and Ultron says over the comms. "You think you're the only one stalling? This is your end, Tony. This is peace of my time." Out of nowhere a bunch of metal men begin scratching and crawling their way out of the ground like zombies. The ones that are flying appears like vengeful spirits of the damned, out to drag another soul down with them.

I jump up from my side of the city as the civilians continue to run around me. I start swinging through the city and begin webbing up some flying drones before smashing them together in the air. The flying ones that I can reach start to crash and drop out of the air while I still remain airborne. I guess all those nights of practice aren't just for show and traversing because I have yet to touch the ground ever since I started fighting. Over the comms Friday explain to us that Vision had burned all of Ultrons abilities to escape through the internet. VROOM!! CRACK!! My tingles starts to go off all around me as the ground below starts to rumble and cracks appear along the streets. "Oh shit." I allow myself to fall and land on the ground to make sure I'm on the rising platform instead of the grounded city.

"Do you see the beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor. My swift and terrible sword. And the Earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only living on this world. Will be metal." Ultron announces over the city from each and every drone that he has flying around the floating platform. "Oh fuck that's some bars he just spit. BMO did you get any of that on camera?" I start swinging around again as I continue to crash the flying drones into the walking ones. "Been recording and streaming ever since you got off the jet Ned." I smile in my helmet because the world needs to see the evils that the Avengers have to face to protect the world. The stream only has the audio from my helmet and not from the comms that connects all of us.

"Stark you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job, tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt them back. You get killed, walk it off." I want to say something but I don't want to ruin the video with my own unfunny comments. I think this moment is where I want to be in the close company of one of my new companions but I have a job to focus on. I see cap on a bridge nearby and rush towards him because two cars filled with people are currently about to fall off the edge. I follow the cruve of my fall down towards the concrete ledge near the bridge and sent out a web to connect me to the bridge. Two cars tip over and roll into a fall just as I got close enough to the underside of the bridge. I shoot out a web to catch one of the car but I couldn't send out another or else we all fall. I grind my teeth and let out a grunt as I whip the car back on to the floating island. Not long after I got myself back up on the bridge, Thor drops the other car and lands near by. "What, were you napping Thor?" Steve try to make a funny remark because he couldn't do much to help the two falling cars besides catching the one that I tossed at him. I let out a little laugh before swinging away to let them do their thing.

On way through the city I spot a huge glowing blast of red energy coming from a small neighborhood street. I decide to swing by to check out what happened. "Wooh! Goddamn that was sick!" I call out to Wanda as I saw her dismantle the drones like they were nothing. I send Clint a wave before disappearing off over the buildings to continue searching for more toys to break. "Alright we're all clear here." Clint spoke into his comms to alert the team of Wanda and his location. "We are not clear. We are very not clear!" Steve grunts into his comms as he continues to fight the hoard of drones by himself in this area. "Need a hand?" I drop down next to him and conjure up a sword to begin chopping down any near by drones. "You couldn't done that in Korea?" He glance at my sword before continuing his punches and shield bashes. "Well you were within cutting range when we were double teaming Ultron." I stab into a the chest of a drone before slicing up into it's head.

Natasha and the twins soon arrive by the bridge to help us fight off the drones. Steve throws his shield at Natasha for her to use and defend herself. "The next wave is gonna hit any minute. What do you got Stark?" Steve looks around through the dense smoke screen of cloud covering the area. "Huh? Nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface. If you guys can get clear." He sounds so defeated with the choices that he has. "I asked for a solution, not an escape plan."

Stark: "Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're gonna have to make a choice."

Romanoff: "Cap, these people are going nowhere. If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..."

Rogers: "not till everyone's safe."

Romanoff: "Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there."

Rogers: "I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it."

Natasha: "I didn't say we should leave." Steve slowly turns to her. "There's worse way to go." She looks away to stare into the every growing sky that's far above the horizon. "Where else am I gonna get a view like this?"

Me: "Maybe I can offer a solution-" I start to open up an orange portal that connects to the edge of the grounded city. When I suddenly get cut off. "Glad you like the view, Romanoff. It's about to get better." A giant heli carrier floats above the clouds and come into view of the city. "Oh that's even better." I close my current portal and open up a new one to the carrier. "You could've done that the entire time?" Wanda ask me while looking through the paper thin portal. There's a squad of soldiers that seem confused and puzzled about what they're seeing with their own eyes."What? No one asked me for any solution so I never had a moment to show y'all what I could do." I try to smile but then stopped because she can't see it anyways.

The helicarrier begin deploying deploying some smaller airships to pick up the civilians on the floating rock. I open the portal to the biggest size that I can so that the civilians nearby can enter. "Go in single file lines. Don't touch the glowing ring or else you won't have anymore fingers." I put my hands over where my mouth would be to seem like I'm yelling at the crowd. Out of the sky Tony starts to fly back towards the city "Avengers, time to work for a living." I try to keep the portal open while swinging away towards the church. I don't remember how long portals can stay open for but it's definitely enough Strange to die and come back to life to kill another sorcerer.

Soon I arrive at the center of the church with the rest of the avengers. "Is this the best you can do!" Thor shouts at Ultron, trying to provoke Ultron. The large flying Ultron slowly hovers in the air while commanding the other drones to stop approaching and gather up in front of us. "You had to ask." Steve looks at Thor with slight annoyance in his eyes. "This is the best I can do. This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?" Ultron is still filled with arrogance and confidence in himself and his quest to kill the Avengers and purge the world of humans.

"Well like the old man says..." Tony turns his head towards Steve. "Together!" The hulk let's out a loud roar and I brace myself for more close quarters mob fights by letting my shields form around my arms while forming a saber in my hand. I split the saber in two and begin slicing at the charging robot zombies. Out of nowhere it feels like we're all fighting in slow motion in a cinematic shot...maybe it's just me getting too zoned in on the fight but my body is ripping through the air as my blades cut through the drones like soft butter. Everyone is fighting their best and trying to take out as much of the extremely fragile and loose robot drones as possible. Hell Clint eventually ran out of room and threw away his bow to punch through a drone. He's only human but he can cause so much damage. I flip over to him and toss him the knife from my thigh holster. It's unfortunate that I never got to complete my gun or else this could've been a lot easier and faster.

Eventually Ultron himself joins in on the fight to try and reach the center of the church to activate the inverse thrusters. Vision ram into him and they both begin to fight in the air before vision flip Ultron into the air and out of the church. Vision sent out a blue beam of light from his forehead at Ultron. Tony and Thor joins in to send a beam of their own. I keep fighting and cutting through the drones around me before I noticed that they had stopped shooting. "Why the fuck did y'all stop!" I jump over to join in on the fight and while in the air I turn my conjured gear into a long menacing spear. I reel back my arm back and throw with all my force to pierce through the surrounding air so it can reach the half melted face of Ultron in time. Unfortunately he has already recovered from the heated beams of energy and flew up and away. His head got out of the way from my spear but his legs didn't. My spear pierce into this long metal thigh but it didn't appear to do much. It's a good thing he had such a tall and long body or else all of that would've been for nothing.

"They're trying to leave the city." I wanted to fall on my knees and take a chance to catch my breath but then Thor called out the obvious. "We can't let them, not even one. Rhodey." Oh fuck me. I take a firm step forward to regain my stability as I raise my head back to let out a loud battle cry. "We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats. I'll sweep the stragglers, be right behind you." Steve gave out the plan to the remaining members that can't fly. "What about the core?" Clint turn to look at the giant vibranium pillar. ""I'll protect it."" Wanda and I spoke at the same time causing us to look at one another. "It's my job." She tries to keep the position to herself. "Negative. I'll stay here with you to prevent anything from slipping through."

Steve, Natasha and Clint begin to run off to take care of the rest of city while Wanda and I remain here. Soon Pietro arrives to try and stay with his sister. "You two go get the people on the boat." She looks at us. "I'm not going to leave you here." Pietro wants to keep his sister safe but she sends out a blast of energy to dismantle an incoming drone. "Come back for me once everyone else is off. Not before. Do you understand." Pietro lets out an annoyed grunt as he doesn't want to listen. "You know, I am 12 minutes older than you." He smirks at her and disappeared soon after she could tell him "go." I remain behind while keeping my eyes on her. She turn to look at me, half expecting me to leave too. "I'll stay to set up a shield in case anything goes wrong." I summon a shield in my hands to try and show off. Soon my tingles go off the chart as I expand the shield to cover my whole body. A whole bunch of drones attempt to jump up towards the control switch while Wanda drops down to her knees and release a power wave of red energy. "Fuck there it is." Once the ring of energy passes around my shield I deactivate the spell and run up to check on her. I try my best to comfort her but she just has a grieving cold look on her face as she slowly stands up on her feet.

There's nothing I can do but let her go find Ultron as I stand here and watch. "BMO turn off streaming but keep on recording." A toreso of a drone slowly attempts to crawl up the steps from behind me, towards the control and I stab a bright glowing spear into it's head without needing to turn around. That was the one who slipped through the crack that I was looking for. Soon Thor lands near by to get ready for Tony's plan. I walk away to find Wanda so I can get her off the rock with me. "Be sure to break it into a fine power Tony." I call over the comms before finding a cold and dead vibranium body of Ultron laying in front of wanda. I walk into the bus and open a up new portal in front of me and Wanda. I bend down to pick up her up in my arms and step through the portal onto the avengers tower on the other side of the world.

I walk over to a corner of the luxurious room and set her down before pulling Ultron's body through the portal and closing it just as the city is about to explode. "What are you going to do with that?" Wanda even in her state of grief look up at me with suspension and alert as I hold the body of Ultron in my hands. I open up a new portal to my house and toss the body of metal onto my couch. "Just salvaging parts." I call over two cup of hot water and bags of tea leaves from my kitchen before closing up the portal. I walk over to offer her a cup. She instinctively flinch and tries to back away because she can't see into my mind. I let out a sigh before setting both cups of tea to float in the air and reach up for my helmet. "Will you trust me if I show you what's in my head?" I pause and look at her. She slowly nods her head and my helmet soon slide off of my face.
