Dave's family

Amanda was wondering if he was still talking to her, or if what she had thought initially about him hitting his head, was finally comj g to light. His brother have never told her anything like that, not even when she got married to Dave and everyone was getting all emotional.

That was the first time he was telling her he loves her,  and it kinda sounded weird coming from him, she was sure something happened to her brother, but whatever had happened to him that have brought so much change was surely something good, she had a feeling it was something to do with a woman, but she doesn't want to pry, she wanted to take things slow, but the pace at which they were going was great she didn't want to rush it.

She was shy, she felt like a girl who was asked on a date with her crush, Maxwell smiled broadly, and wondered how easy it  was for her to blush to his words, for her to blush that way, for him,  that is not a woman person, he wondered if his friend put in any effort before she fell head over heels in love with him.

"I need to go freshen up so that we can head off" she said as she quickly disengaged from him, and walked towards her room with fast steps  not wanting to look back to meet his gaze.

Dave had difficulty moving his arms and almost every part of his body, he could sense the room was crowded, but he wasn't sure about the people he was surrounded by.

He could hear voices, and could recognize some of them without opening his eyes, his eyes had been shut for a while, atleast since Amanda left the room in tears, he had also been in tears, and he wished he had stopped her to say something else that could soothe her pain, in as much as he would love to believe her words, he just couldn't.

First she had met with her ex whom they both know was a threat to their relationship, he had always been a threat, and had always made him feel like a second choice in the life of Amanda.

Secondly, she was pregnant and she was busy claiming she had no idea how it happened, that could pass to be the joke of the century.

Dave was aware of Amanda's relationship with her brother as regards Goodluck, and that was why he had told Maxwell about his sister's adulturous behavior, hoping they would be able to get the truth from her, and that was why he still needs her to remain in the house, he just couldn't give her the freedom to run off with her lover, he was sure Goodluck must be somewhere waiting to hear she was separated from him so that he could come in.

Dave tried opening his eye slowing and though his vision was blurred he could make out all the faces around him, they were his Family and friends, he was happy to be surrounded by them. Though he had asked Amanda to go, he wished she hadn't listened to him, he wanted to see her. He just needed her to be truthful with him, he wanted  her to tell him he grew tired of him, and wanted to move on with the love of her life, that would have made a lot of sense to him as he would have just cried from heart break, and then move on, but her lies were confusing him as she was indeed telling a beautiful lie that anyone would believe.

His eyes continued to move around the house until he saw the lady in red, he wasn't expecting her to be there, he really didn't like the fact that she had come, he prayed Amanda didn't see her  because that would mean he was also cheating on her which wasn't true, he tried to fake a smile at her, and she smiled back.

Tracy could tell he wasn't happy to see her, but she wasn't going to let this chance to prove herself worthy of his love pass by, she had made the mistake once, and she wasn't ready to do it again, she wanted him for herself, and she had tried everything possible to get his attention now this one that had fallen right to her advantage wouldn't be left unappreciated.

She adjusted herself, and smiled broadly at him, showing off her curve, as she stood up from the seat she was seating and walked towards him, to help him get the news paper, he was reaching for.

"You shouldn't have bothered". He said, after collecting the paper from her.

"You are always trying to be too modest, you know me, and you know I will do anything for you, you need to stop trying to be all modest with me". She said, obviously flirting with him, shamelessly infront of everyone.

""Tracy, don't mind my son, he is always acting like a pastor, and you know how all these guys that always claim to be good fall for the devil himself". She was indirectly calling Amanda the devil, but Dave didn't want to think about it, so he pretended not to know what she was talking about, but Tracy added.

"I will get the devil out of the picture". Mrs Brown laughed, and so did his friend Josh.

Steven walked in immediately, and was also shocked to find his friend in such a state, but he needed no explanation, he could already tell what happened to him.

"Dave what happened? Steven still wanted to ask, even after knowing, he was the one that broke the news of seeing Amanda with Goodluck, at the restaurant, he knew what his message would do to an already shattered man.

Dave had no plans to answer him, but Josh answered immediately.

"Is it not that girl called Ama da, I have always had my doubts about her, but you all semed to like her, so I had no choice but to like her". Tracy nodded her head, knowing that josh could never like anyone that Dave is angry with.
