What are the chances that he will succeed though?
The smile on Isla's face faded, and her expression couldn't hide her loneliness under the light.
While she was sitting on the ground wrapped in a blanket, waiting for the maid to put the water, the phone in her hand lit up without warning.
She lowered her head and hung up the phone after a few seconds of silence.
Shut down.
Out of sight, out of mind.
She came out of the bath and took a few sips of the ginger soup. The maid advised her to finish the bowl. She wrinkled her nose and asked, "Do you have to finish it?"
Isla was naturally delicate, so the maid smiled and coaxed her, "Drink it, and you won't get sick after drinking it."
"Oh well."
After drinking the whole bowl of ginger soup, she felt her stomach warm up.
It was drizzling outside and the lights were dim. The maid set the curtains and she averted her eyes and lay on the soft big bed, but she couldn't fall asleep.
