The Duel: The Academy's Stadium.
In the midst of his weird meditation, he gained some understanding of his own aura and tried gathering it as he forces his conscious mind to gather the aura scattered all around his system.
This is the imagery that he was able to build up about his current state of his inability to apply aura outwards other than being able to enhance and limit his physical output, all thanks to his unique skill, 'Ability Control'.
With his mind, he forces to gather up some black clouds floating all around in an endless space with a white background but these clouds are programmed to not get close to a unique existence in the centre of the space.
The existence was in form of a large, unevenly divided flat-court ring with faded colours.
Luckily for him, he is able to forcefully drag a dark cloud to the ring and it dissolved into one of the broken pieces and bring it's faded colour back to life as it emits so brightly.
With this discovery, Zyl begins to work on gathering the clouds into his centre.
While still being in the midst of meditation, Claire suddenly walks in and surprisingly, at that moment, Zyl's body was already in a lotus position and floating, inches off the ground while he was emitting a strong aura.
She watched a little bit and then walks up to him with the intent to bring him back to reality but as soon as she gets closer, although being a flame esper, she felt a burning sensation and instinctively backed away.
Even though, her action was already enough to get Zyl back to reality as his eyes opened up immediately, widely as if he was woken up from his slumber.
As he stretched his neck and looked behind, he caught the sight of Claire being on guard and his facial expression suddenly changed.
He is all frowns as he glares daggers at her without even knowing he was in a lotus position and is emitting a black aura.
He gets up and slowly walks toward her till there is little to no space between the both of them.
He stared dead right into her eyes with a raised left eyebrow and asked, "is it time?"
"L-language basta…"
Before she could finish with her reply, in an instant, he grips her neck with his left hand tightly while smacking her to the wall and is still maintaining the glare at her.
"What the hell are you doing?" she asks as she could hardly breathe.
"You know, I have been patient enough but I guess it's time to make things clear between us.
If I wanted you dead, you will be dead by now and if I ever wished for your family's non-existence, I can make it so.
So listen carefully, the same composure and response you gave around me at the mansion and in front of my sister, like a slave? Quit it or I'll make you quit your existence, okay?"
As he instructed, Claire tries fighting back by setting his left arm ablaze in red flames only to receive the response of being smacked to the wall once again but this time around, the wall made a crack, despite the protective measures applied to the sector's facility.
"Did I make myself clear?" still in a calm tone he asked and in response, she nodded while struggling to the point of scratching on his arm and having her tear drops dried off by the heat.
She then got dropped to the ground as she gasps for air.
Zyl walks out of the sector without batting an eye on her as well as having the attention of students on his un-teen-ly looking body.
He walks to the boys locker room, grabs his clothing, wears them, gets off and headed back into the meditating sector only to see Claire sitting on the floor contemplating on what just happened.
"Get up, aren't we going somewhere?" Zyl instructed and she nervously nodded and weirdly gets up.
"Of course, please act naturally." She nods once again and leads the way.
She guides Zyl to the appointed location on where the duel will take place, which of course, is the academy's duel grounds.
Upon arrival, in front of Zyl was a huge stadium-like structure that was built to actually look more like an accurate depiction of a medieval stadium.
The two walks in and are met with stairs leading to the viewing sections but they go on forward and before Zyl was just amazement.
The stadium was so huge that it contained more than thirty grounds, each with individual entrances and then, the large duelling ground on the centre of the stadium.
Each grounds measure up to twenty four yards long and seventeen yards wide while on the centre measures up to fifty yards long and thirty four yards wide.
On each ground are erected light emitting pillars that aid in times of dawn periods or periods of when the weather gets cloudy, also, an infrastructure is built over the four pillars that aided in its support.
Above the erected pillars is a circular structure of steel-like material that has layers of inner circles to the very little, without any joints in between, which is all thanks to the energy based technology inventions made to mankind of the present era.
This is actually a multipurpose structure which aids in teleportation, visualization, anti cheating measures as well as media networking.
To be precise, it aids in teleporting participants back to their locker rooms when they cheat, are out of breath or knocked out.
It also creates a holographic representation of the ongoing contest happening on that very ground, so, a camera and a video streaming device.
It's used for analysing the ongoing contest and is programmed to auto detect disqualifying items or actions and once found, the technician behind it is alerted and given the space to command the device to take action.
If ignored for ten seconds, the device takes action by sending the rebel back to the lobby.
Then, the final purpose is to be able to enhance media connectivity in the internet for online viewers as well as providing quality video and audio content.
Although it might look like just series of rings made of steel-like materials joined by unknown forces, of course, the material isn't steel but an energy fused ore or element that's able to create magnetic forces and with the right calculations on the amount of the element needed, spaces to be created and a perfect shape to be made, equilibrium within the ores and materials was created.
Upon operation, the materials charge wirelessly with the little amount of opposing energy, that is, refined energies, being the force, mana and aura.
The magnetic field suddenly pulses and materialize into dark orange crystals, therefore, causing the rings to be in motion as there is now an extra force being created with the refined energy and a produced magnetism.
The motion causes the rings to vertically move on opposite directions, causing it to levitate and the pillars serve as a magnet to make it not move too far off as well as to provide an invisible sheet that avoids energy from leaking out of the duelling ground to interrupt the neighbouring contestants.
The rings are able to move without causing any noise due to the application of a catalyst aided magic to cancel out noises made by the device.
Also, the seats provided for the spectators present in the stadium has a tablet stand for them to be able to view the match more closely from afar.
As they arrived on one of the grounds, they were able to notice that almost all the viewers' seats were filled up, all because most were in wait to see how the manly and attractive teen guard fights as well as a few who were more interested in seeing Claire finally duelling as she is known to avoid confrontation as much as possible.
The amount of the spectators were unnoticed until the two marched in, due to the noise cancellation applied to avoid disrupting ongoing studies.
Far off to the middle ground awaits Zyl's opponent.
Zyl takes in a deep breath and march towards the centre ground.
To the spectators, he is finally viewable and on that cause, cheers rang the whole stadium.
Zyl finally gets to the ground and his opponent was in an academy owned gear for combat and with a majestic looking staff made of gold and it's mana ball, aquamarine.
The opponent lays sharp glares at Zyl while Zyl at the other hand was collective and calm, giving out no expression.
"Try not to die." With these words delivered by the opponent, the speaker released a buzzing sound and an announcer on the other hand cleared her throat and made a speech,
"Good day folks of the academy!!! Once again, a day to witness ... Death!!!"
