CHAPTER-28 EVIL EYE BAT

As Kai and his group are venturing the forest in search of metal stingers. They suddenly stopped by a weird sound.

"There are four metal stingers ahead" Ria who was checking the surrounding from above come flying back.

"It seems today our luck is very good, we found our target even before we start the search. Ria keep an eye on them" Kai explain them his plan and when they were hundred meters away from metal stingers, they hide in the dense bushes.

Soon metal stingers arrived where Kai's group were, they look same as giant bees except their skin seems to be made of blue metal. Seeing metal stingers coming, Kai's group try to hide their presence.

They are good in doing this except for tony, that's why he have been position furthest. Kai used the power of wind and water elements to lower his presence, if their target have been some intelligent creature than such a lowly trick would have never work but metal stingers are one of the most dumb soul beasts so Kai and others are easily able to deceive them.

The one who is best among them in hiding her presence is undoubtedly Ria but that is only against those creatures who rely on their eyesight to see things but metal stingers are different because they mostly distinguish things by their temperature so the one bugs have hardest time in finding is Sera who can lower her body temperature.

That's why she is position closest to their target's route. As soon as the stinger got near their position Sera used ice mist, stingers jolted by the sudden change try to retreat when a cyanblue halo appear and the mist started to spread at much faster rate.

Before the stingers make their retreat they are already surrounded by the mist which greatly affect their senses. A blue ball of energy hit one of the metal stinger which blasted it away and next instant that stinger is hit by a purple lighting and fainted.

Then Kai use wind glar and control the ice mist to spin at its position like a vortex. After the evolution of his Martial Soul Kai's abilities to control elements have also improve by much.

Spinning of the mist make the metal stingers even more confuse and before long they are attacked by Kai's group. Just when Kai thought that everything is going smoothly he suddenly hear a buzzing sound.

He fly above the mist to look at the direction of the sound `What the heck is this!` as soon as he catches the glimpse of the sight his heart sank, because what he saw is the large horde of metal stingers coming towards them `there are at least dozen of those bugs`.

"Guys run!" At Kai's shout, other three stopped their attacks and look at him and just when Tony was about to ask that what's the matter they also heard the buzzing sound. They quickly understand the matter and without a minute delay they turn tails and started to run at full speed.

Ria is an agility system so without a doubt she is fastest among four of them, just as they plan earlier if any emergency arise she took Sera and fly away at full speed. Kai used wind blessing to increase his and Tony's speed.

Kai also created a small typhoon with the remaining mist to obstruct the stinger's path. But the stingers are too many and even after running for a while they are unable to get rid of the stingers.

"Let's split up, Ria and Sera go to right, me and Tony will go to left" at Kai's call they split into two group and went to different directions.

After running for a while Kai and Tony get on separate routes to divide the stringers, Ria and Sera after getting rid of the stingers following them join Tony and helped him to deal with those following him while Kai lead most of the stingers the other way.

With his new evolved Martial Soul none of the stingers were able to deal a damage to him while he keep on a running but even after a while he was not able to get rid of them.

`have I use up all of my luck for my Martial Soul?` Kai keep on a run while trying to find a way to get rid of those stingers when suddenly he felt a sense of danger and instantly change his position and land on ground.

And indeed his senses were right, a black figure passed through his previous position, if he was still keep flying then he would have definitely his by that figure. When Kai get a clear look of the creature he quickly recognize it.

It was a tiny figure just one meter in length but the moment Kai saw it he felt chill, it was a pitch black bat with dark purple eyes. It is a Evil Eye Bat a high tier soul beast which is good in sneak attack, it has another name 'Night Hunter'.

As the name suggest they are terrifying hunter at night and usually only hunt at night but may be this area was his home and Kai and the stingers have disturb his sleep which make him angry so he took the action.

Evil Eye Bat unlike other bat soul beasts has very good eyesight and their eyes also have special abilities. Kai figure out by its size that this soul beast should be close to 70 years old means it is at the peak of third stage of cultivation.

As a high tier soul beast it can easily fight or even defeat most of the four ringed soul master, this soul beast is not something Kai can currently compete with.

Seeing the appearance of the bat all the metal stingers run back with tail between their legs.

In fact they are still in just an outstretched of the golden wood forest which is maintain by the blue sky city's and Surya Academy's management. Once in a while some strong people from management comes to hunt and also chase the stronger soul beast in the core region of the forest, it is important part in running the city's economy.

In this region only lower and middle tier soul beast below the 90 years cultivation exist as it not only let the young elite to venture the forest but also let these weaker soul beast to survive longer so their species will not go extinct.

This Evil Eye Bat seems to be a leftover which escape the eyes of the management, such cases happens many times as it is not easy to analyze all the soul beast in the region and settling them.
