DEADLY INFATUATION-2

"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself to elder sister Alexandria, I am the daughter of Duke Kinsley, Senmira Kinsley. It's so nice to FINALLY meet you" saying this, Senmira stared at Alexandria from top to bottom, though it was a condescending look.

Alexandria was no fool. She immediately got Senmira's meaning behind her words and the look that she gave her.

"So you are Lady Senmira. You are quite popular for your boldness and obstinacy! I can learn a thing or two from you. I hope you won't mind teaching me" Alexandria answered with as much respect as she could muster for this petty laddy.

The people standing around them got the meaning behind Alexandria's words and started snickering while Senmira glared at her after being called a man-chaser indirectly.

"If there is nothing else, then let us proceed to our seat, dear" Roman gently took Alexandria's hand and was ready to go towards the seating area.

Just then, a group of kids came running towards them and one of them collided with Senmira.

"Ah!" Senmira started falling towards Roman who was directly in her line of sight. Senmira would directly fall into Roman's embrace. But Alexandria had fast reflexes.

She acted as if she was also falling due to the collision and grabbed Roman's hand. Due to the force on his hand, Roman got dragged towards Alexandria and captured her waist in his arms. It was such a dramatic and romantic scene!

A beauty in the hands of a handsome general. The people were lost in this scene, then suddenly a loud sound was heard.

BAM!!!

This loud noise brought them in their senses and they looked towards the source of the noise, ready to curse the person for disturbing such a good scene.

Senmira had fallen on the ground, with her face directly in contact with the floor!

"Hahahahaha!" Some younger generation people, especially the young ladies who were envious of Senmira, had started laughing on Senmira, who looked quite disheveled. These ladies were full of jealousy and couldn't leave a single chance to humiliate those who were better than them.

Most of the people present there already understood that Senmira had intended to fall on Roman, thus she didn't even try to regain her balance but Alexandria also fell at that time and took Roman out of Senmira's way.

[ Hmph! The witch wanted to fall on Roman? I won't allow her to even touch Roman!] Alexandria's lips tugged upwards slightly and she went forward to help Senmira."You should be careful Lady Senmira and not depend on others to save you. Let me help you!"

Alexandria bent down and caught Senmira's hand. Although it seemed that Alexandria was helping her, only Senmira knew how much force was there in Alexandria's pull and her shoulder bone nearly dislocated.

Senmira couldn't stand properly and her maids took her back to her wing. She felt humiliated, her eyes burned with unshed tears, and she cursed Alexandria in her mind, non-stop for making her plan a failure.

When Duke Kinsley came to know about this matter from Senmira's personal maid, he was fuming. At first, he was reluctant to execute this plan but now he was determined to send Senmira to General Roman's manor as his bride.

When all the guests were seated, Duke Kinsley came out together with his four sons. "Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I am grateful to everyone for sparing some time and gracing the Duke's manor with your presence. I hope all of you will enjoy this feast." Duke Kinsley glanced at the newly wedded couple after saying the last sentence.

The feast started. There were a number of dance performances by pretty dancers, operas as well as simple choir singing. Half of the men present there, especially unmarried ones were already drunk beyond imagination. They were finding it difficult to even sit properly and were being supported by their servants.

The feast ended without any drama. Lady Senmira didn't come out to the feast again. But people were not bored as they had already had their slice of entertainment before the feast started, by watching the most eligible lady in the capital falling down on her face and making a fool out of herself. People were delighted.

They originally came to find faults in Alexandria but during the whole feast, her conduct was proper and she showed everyone that she was no less than a groomed and well- mannered lady from the Capital. On the other hand, Senmira was mocked for her improper behavior.

But the game was about to begin now. General Roman didn't drink too much wine, not more than three glasses. He couldn't have even drunk these cups if not for the festive and joyful mood.

Moreover, he was feeling happy. His wife had starting reciprocating his feelings and even protected him from the disease called 'Senmira' earlier. So, he drank the wine on a little insistence from his colleagues.

In the beginning, there was no problem. Roman checked the wine before drinking and it was fine with no aphrodisiac or any drug whatsoever. But even after drinking limited wine, General Roman felt quite drunk.

He couldn't stand on his feet. Alexandria started having doubts. Those who were drunk had taken a number of cups of wine but had Roman only this much tolerance for wine?

Just then William and Lilian approached them. Alexandria had met William on her first day in Roman's residence. This brother in law of hers was decent, polite, respectful and cheerful. She felt like she was talking to her younger brother.

"Sister in law, it seems that big brother is drunk. And you don't know, when he is drunk he becomes totally unreasonable and stubborn. It would be better if I help you to send him to the manor. Lilian would accompany you and at your residence, we will change carriages and I would go home with Lilian. There was no flaw in this idea.

[Roman had started behaving as an obstinate child and was mumbling nonsense. It would be better to leave him with his brother. What if Roman started demanding something during the way, and I won't be able to deal with it?]

Alexandria gave her consent. Roman and William got on one carriage and Lilian and Alexandria on the other one. Both the carriages were heavily guarded, the one in which Alexandria was sitting was surrounded by her personal bodyguards whom she had brought from her maternal home. So, Alexandria felt quite relaxed.

Lilian was also tired. So, after talking about some unimportant topics both of them relaxed and dozed off.

Since both the ladies were resting, the speed of their carriage was slow. On the other hand, to take Roman home quickly, Roman's carriage was moving at a faster pace. Within no time Roman's carriage reached his manor.

With the help of the guards, William took his brother to his room in the Northern wing of the residence, the guards checked for any hidden person or something doubtful. Everything was alright. So, they laid Roman down, blew out the candles and withdrew from there.

William went to sit in the gardens. After half an hour, Alexandria's carriage arrived.

Alexandria quickly asked William-"Where is Roman? Is he asleep? Why don't you and Lilian also stay here? It's already midnight and Lilian is quite sleepy."

After pondering over it, William agreed to spend the night in the manor.

All three of them went towards the Northern Wing of the manor.

But when they reached Roman's room, there was a loud noise of something crashing. William and Alexandria rushed to his room while Lilian had to wait outside due to propriety.

In the faint glow of moonlight and lanterns from outside, they could see two figures entangled with each other. Alexandria's heartbeat sped up and she immediately ran to the bed and took a better look at the figures in the light of her lantern which she was carrying.

William ordered the maids to light the candles whom he called inside.

Alexandria and William were shocked. Blood drained from Alexandria's face. Clothes were thrown all across the huge, beautiful bed and both the figures were stark naked covered with only thin sheets.

The two figures were none other than Senmira and Roman, lost in passion and in the middle of wild love-making...
