My Portal Now

Regius took his time getting there and the two of them saw the views of this tiny world when eventually Ashlyne used whatever technique she had used before to create an Ice sleigh that Regius sat on to finish their Journey in time. Regius was confused at first he thought that Macarthur was only able to have this ice or snow mana do to a concept so how could the girl in front of him do the same.

Ashlyne had no problems asking Regius his secrets which he selectively answered but he had not done the same to her and when he finally found it in him to ask they had reached the portal. Regius' base form Mask of Owari and Armor of the Demon king wrapped around him silently and in an instant and Ashlyne snickered out loud. "It's a smart trick you did there you have shown everyone that your spells take time. The same amount of time that most people use to summon an Astra, I mean some of the less achieved students probably take ten or more seconds and you've shown the same but all along you've been able to do it instantly."

The Mask of Owari showed a smiley face on the front screen and Regius nodded "I doubt anyone here's fought half the battles I have. We are vastly different in terms of experience. If that can be used then it's my right too." Ashlyn's almond-shaped eyes squinted at him before she lightly laughed and they landed. "You never told me what the plan was for you to make good on your part of the deal, why are we here now?" Regius turned towards her as he sat down in the snow and waited "Why go after these small packs of Goblins when I've wiped their largest force when we can have everyone else bring what we need directly to us?"

Regius looked forward because the first group was approaching and lo and behold the team was led by the same person who had spoken out to the side with the families. They saw Regius and stopped a ways away and before long people gathered from all over ready to go back through the portal but Regius had placed himself in front of the portal and No one had approached yet. Ashlyne sat by his side waiting with a peculiar light in her eyes ready for what unfolded next.

The crowd started to come forward and Regius stood up and dusted himself off. He summoned out Stella Sanguis slowly and then got to work cutting into the ground. He switched the eyes of a single dragon on the blade to brown and before anyone could say otherwise he used the earth to create a box around the portal blocking it from everyone's view. Regius used Mana to project his voice for everyone to hear "This portal belongs to me, anyone wanting to go home will hand over their bracelets for inspection. I will take anything that is over the minimum requirements to pass this test. Anyone that fails to comply is free to try to get by with force but doing so will result in you being sent home with an empty bracelet. I originally considered doing that anyway but I decided to give everyone a way out."

Regius put Stella Sanguis back into his mana space as the crowd discussed this in hushed tones. The same boy from before was the first to approach but the rest of the crowd followed. "We decided the son of a traitor doesn't get to decide anything for the rest of us." Regius smiled behind the mask " Do you all feel the same?" No one answered Regius but the boy began summoning his Astra and Regius just sat there and let him. It was a rather plain sword and Regius could smell the low-quality Astra used for it from here. They couldn't be above the Baron grade but Regius knew that his family circumstances were vastly different from common people.

The boy charged and Regius didn't even bother summoning a weapon. The boy executed a sloppy thrust and Regius swatted the blade with one hand before stepping inside of the boy's sloppy stance and open hand slapping him so hard his face began to swell and his lip began to bleed. Regius disarmed him and then while the entire crowd watched Regius used only his hands and beat him to within an inch of his life before stripping the bracelet off of him and after moving one wall enough for him to fit through he threw his battered body into the portal.

The crowd sat there in stunned silence and one by one they each came and handed their bracelets to Regius before he allowed them to go through the Portal one at a time until the only ones left were the group from the ten families.
