Lin Family's Shop

After the family meeting was over Lin Feng arrived in Lin Hao's office.

"I was surprised by your response in the main hall. But this is good. If you were more talented the old fools would have shut up." Lin Hao spoke.

After that he picked a medallion from his drawer and handed it to Lin Feng.

"I am leaving you in charge of the Lin family's shop in the city's marketplace." Lin Hao said while handing the medallion to Lin Feng.

Lin Feng had some impression of this shop. While the Lin clan was a big clan in Voidgate city it's main source of income was through mining of magic crystals and selling of magic resources and treasures. The shop in the marketplace mainly dealt with trinkets and resources that could be bought by the poor people or customers that were passing by. It didn't have much value.

"Ok." Lin Feng agreed.

"There is a small house that can accommodate 3 to 4 people behind the shop. This house is connected to the shop. You can use it as your residence." Lin Hao said.

"Ok....." Lin Feng agreed but looked at Lin Hao with a frown.

It was ok to not give him resources and leave him in charge of the least profitable shop but Lin Hao was even kicking him out of his own house?

When met with his son's gaze Lin Hao spoke up, "If you stay here those old bastards may use you as excuse to cause trouble for me. This is for both of our own good."

Finally, Lin Hao handed him a small glass bottle filled with a blue liquid which he had removed from his space pouch on his waste. When Lin Feng saw this, he was surprised. It was a Mana Potion.

"I agreed not to give the family's resources but this is from my own resources not the family's. Take it." Lin Hao told him. Lin Feng took the Mana Potion from his hand. After casually chatting for a while Lin Feng left for the shop.

The marketplace where the Lin family shop was located was at the centre of Voidgate city. Voidgate city itself was one of the major cities in Fēnglong Empire. Lin Feng soon arrived at the shop. The name of this shop was called Lin's Trinkets. Lin Feng twitched. The family couldn't even be bothered to name the shop.

Lin Feng entered the shop and was greeted by a servant. This servant's name was Yang Chen.

"Greetings customer. What can I get for you?" he asked.

Lin Feng showed the medallion to Yang Chen.

"Young Master Lin! This lowly servant greets you. A messenger arrived few minutes ago announcing your ownership. Forgive me for not recognizing you." Yang Chen hurriedly said.

"It's ok." Lin Feng replied. He strolled around the shop for a while observing all sorts of goods such as low-grade potions, low grade pills, low grade magic scrolls etc. He then told Yang Chen, "I am going in the backhouse for a while. I will come back later."

After saying this Lin Feng left the shop and entered the house in the back.

"So, this is the infamous young master of the Lin clan. He sure is easygoing." Yang Chen thought to himself.

Lin Feng had an infamous reputation in Voidgate city due to the fact that most of the resources were spent on him. However, his father was an expert in Archmage realm and one of the few powerhouses in the city so no one really commented about it.

Lin Feng himself was aware about his reputation but never really cared about it. After arriving in the backhouse Lin Feng chose the largest bedroom for himself and excitedly spoke in his mind.
