When Nate was sent flying by the wolf, he received a shocking notification.

Since Nate was a zombie, therefore, he couldn't tell whether a hit was painful to classify them as critical. He always relays o the system to state how much injury he has sustained from a hit but a hundred and fifty-three energy points required to heal him up were just among the few high hits he has taken.

'Sometimes, I wonder whether this cloak's special defence power actually works,' nate thought inwardly as he quickly get up from the ground.

He couldn't tell what hit him but one thing was clear to him and that was that what so ever hit him came from the wolf.

Quickly, Nate got up from the ground. He gestured for the axe to return to his hand, meanwhile, the wolf has already regained its balance.

The alpha wolf didn't waste time rushing towards Nate. Nate with his agility was able to get out of the way, he rotate his body to face the beast back and throw the axe at beast.

They hit the target but didn't show any visible damage to the wolf's skin. With the axe returning to Nate, he was planning for another strike when the wolf stamped its foot on the ground.

Nate was surprised since the wolf was facing his back on him. 'He can send it backwards also,' Nate did not have the time to think much and decided to carry on as he would.

With the axe now in a shield, nate blocked the wind. But when putting the shield down, the wolf was not where to be found.

'Where did it go?' while Nate was still confused, it was at this moment the wolf's shadow was cast over him.

"Shit!" nate cursed. He turned the ice shield into a spear and as the wolf descend on him, he raised it and stabbed the wolf's abdomen. Blood instantly gushed out but the moment they came outside, there were all frozen into a block.

Howl!!..

The wolf let out a small cry out of pain, nate took this opportunity to the frozen ray effect and delivered a few more stabs on the wolf's belly.

As he was gathering more force to diver more, he felt that something was wrong. The stems vapour was coming out of the wolf's mouth again.

Seeing this, Nate quickly acted by retreating and the turned the ice spear into a shield. His hand was tightly held on the shield.

'It seems like the frozen ray only works on you and not on your power,' Nate anticipated but he was not right.

The truth is that the frozen ray also worked on the creature's power it's just it wasn't too obvious like its movement. If Nate had paid attention, he would notice that the stem's vapour seems to be taking time to condense before being shot out.

Boom!!!.

When the vapour clashed with nate shield, nate wrist almost give in, if not for him constantly holding it with the help of the "Call" skill.

'Really... but I blocked it?' Nate looked at his wrist, and although it was for a slight moment, his wrist did break from holding the shield against the wolf. 'Just how much force does that breathes have?' nate wondered.

The wolf recovered from the frozen ray and dashed towards Nate again. As it approaches Nate, the wolf opened its mouth like it was about to howl and but what came out of its mouth was the vapour again.

This time, Nate was not planning to block the force again and dashed to the side, the wolf followed after him while still shooting the vapour at him. 'Should I use the method I used in the deer?' Nate wondered but soon declined the thought.

He has no time to do that, the wolf could at least chase after him for about two hours without breaking down and he did not have that time. 'I need to finish this off fast and go help the others,'

With that thought in mind, Nate accessed the inventory space and pick up a particular material. Soon, the most covered his elbow down to his fist and when it was clear, a red gauntlet was revealed.

'Although it's broken, it will do much more damage than my bare fist,' Nate thought. What he was wearing was the TNT gauntlet. Although the gauntlet was currently broken and Nate couldn't use its special power or boost, the density of the glove was still there and would do greater damage to compare when nate uses his bare hands.

With his right hand on the shield and the left on with the gauntlet, Nate sprinted towards the wolf. As the nate rushed towards the wolf, the vapour came at him.

He blocked it with the shield though the energy bar appeared, he ignored it and leapt up into the sky. He had gathered a lot of momentum on his feet while running and when being hit by the vapour, he made sure to lose them.

With the momentum, Nate was able to reach the height of the wolf and throw an uppercut. The wolf's face and jaw were sent to the side as Nate continued flying up.

Altering the axe on his arm into a wide, he swung it at the wolf sending the frozen ray to act. As this happened, the wolf's movement has slow down. Nate altered the wipe into a chain while it wrapped around the wolf's neck.

Nate used this to pull himself down with force and as he did this, his body was rotating like an arrow as he descended on top of the wolf with force causing the wolf to lose balance and fall.

It was a fatal hit that would have killed any other beast instantly, but the wolf was not just any other beast. Wolves by nature are resilient then not to talk of one that has evolved into a king-level beast.

Regardless, the wolf was still weakened by the blow, and couldn't stand properly without staggering.

Meanwhile, on nates end, this didn't seem that good though.

'What was that for this gauntlet has broken even more,'

The strike he just pulled out caused some damage on his body that required two hundred energy points to heal up, which was far high the damage Nate has taken so far the worst part of it was that he did this to himself.

Nate soon snap out of it when the wolf tried getting up but staggered and fall, making the ground shake. "Less I forget, let's finish the job," nate lamented as he held the axe in his hand, he didn't hesitate and swung it down on the wolf's skull cracking it open.

Howll...!!! The wolf let out its last cry when Nate swung the axe at it.

'That was simply too much though but who am I to regret even the stupidest reward from the system,' Nate mumbled before starting to look for the wolf crystal and soon he located it.

"That was a close call, but I still catch you," Nate lamented.

With this crystal, he could make a new weapon, but his attention was drew by something else, he looked at the gauntlet.

After using it to pull out such a strong blow, the cracks on his body have spread. It was as if any further pressure was added to it, it will shatter into pieces.

'You will be of a good help to me when I will be going up there,' Nate thought as he decided to repair the gauntlet with the beast crystal.
