Special zombie.

When awakening his ability, V noticed a few things that marvelled him and one of them was his eyesight.

Technically, he thought it was useless back then because it was not by any means helping to get rid of the beast waves and more, however, it still proved to be helpful when he had gone deep.

Regardless, his eyesight was not the only thing that has improved. His smelling sense has improved also and he had used this to tell when a beast is near and when it was not. However, one that seemed more disturbing was his hearing. This particular development nearly got him killed on the battlefield since he could hear the cries and heartbeats of those that were still alive and it was disturbing to hear the sound of what you can see or feel.

Regardless, he was quick to understand what was going on and he calm himself down before using it in the fight. But things changed when Nate and his horde returned.

It seems strange as to why he could hear heartbeats from others but towards Nate and his group, they were no noise coming from the inside nor was he hear the sound of blood flowing in them.

V wasn't so quick to make the judgment and besides, it was a rough moment at that time, but now that he has the opportunity to think deeply and use his power carefully, the outcome was the same and he could not sense any heartbeat from Nate and the others except Lyon and Lynn.

Even at that, he didn't go ahead and report to Lily, he know she will make a crazy decision that's why he chose to approach Nate first. Though judging from his suspect, it was a dangerous idea to do that alone that was why he took his spear along.

Just like V expected, at the sight of Nate and Mark, the spear started to glow even when he was not telling it to do so. 'This only happens when I face zombies in a large group, but it's just Nate and him. If they are truly what I'm suspecting them to be, then just how strong are they to be able to charge up the spear to this extent,' V wondered and even the thought he was pointing a weapon at such people was sending shivers down his spine.

"Put that away," Nate said not fazed by Vs presence.

"We don't need to fight, I just need to know the truth," replied though with a bold voice but his body was trembling.

"I know and that's why I need you to put the spear away, I feel threatened to have it pointed at me," Nate said and V finally took a deep breath before putting them away.

"Are you going to explain things to me now?" he asked after putting the spear away.

"I will but I will need the others to also tell you their part, I can only say me and my brother's part," with that being said, Nate and Mark have to wait for some time for the others to come. While doing this, Vs eye never left their place and it was obvious that he was alert.

Soon, the others start to arrive and this didn't go unnoticed by V since he never saw Nate and Mark leaving to call someone and yet the other was coming.

'Do they have some secret ways of communicating? ' the more V was thinking about Nate and his group, the more he feels like his head was aching him.

"So, what's up, our cover was blown up, how are we going to deal with this then," Lyon said as he and Lynn were the last to arrive, but he shot up on seeing Nate's facial expressions.

"Honestly V, what you are about to hear is a dark secret that's not known by all, I have many alternatives options to still keep this as a secret but I'm not the type that is scared of the future, I face whatever that comes my way," Nate beginning of say.

V know what Nate meant by he has many alternative options to still keep their existence a secret.

"As for what you are suspecting, there is no need to hide it from you, we are not normal humans, we are once human but something happened,"

Just like that, Nate started to explain what they are and how he and his brother became zombies. It was a bit awkward for him since this was a story others has heard except V himself and Lynn who just newly entered the group.

After his narration, the others did theirs and even explained how they meet up with Nate, Lyon also narrated his story and when everything was done, V was a little bit confused about what to do.

It had turned out that his suspicion was correct and Nate and the others were zombies except for Jim, Lyon, and Lynn.

"We can just leave the base anyway, and by the way, we have done what we can do for you guys," Twain said but V declined the idea.

"No... I won't tell anyone, as long as you promise me that you won't infect anyone," V said.

"That won't be any problem, I even have an antidote for those who were bitten by a zombie or even scratched by one, as long as he or she is not yet fully turned, they can be cured," Mark suddenly reviled.

It came as a surprise to the others though, but they understand he might have discovered this during the period they left.

"No matter what we still need you guys, more of them are going to turn into superhuman soon and they needed, people with more experience to teach them and you guys are the people we know, I don't care about what you guys are, after all, more strange things will keep popping out and this might even be the tip of an iceberg," V said.

"Just know that for you to survive such a thing means you guys are special to us," he continued.

Nate was glad that V wasn't freaking out that much, of course, he was at first scared but thinking of the things Nate and the others have done for them so far, he still believes they have human concerns to still care about them.

"Speaking of training, I think I have an idea of how to make them evolve fast," Nate said with a smile.

Soon, it was already sunrise and it was time for them to continue their training session.

"No way...!!!" Tony shouted and ran behind Nate. "They are no way you want me to fight him," he said shivering.

"Common... You can never go that far if you don't start having fighting experience," Nate said pulling Tony to his front.

"But not with him, he will kill me!" Tony said while pointing at the person he was meant to fight.

Standing almost close to ten feet off the ground was a red skin praying mantis, standing far from the ground. Without a doubt, this was Lyon and he was about to fight Tony a normal human he was ten times stronger than.
