Last stand.

This tsunami force wave that hit the militant from behind caught them off guard. Most of the cars were sent flying with some bashing into each other.

This also made most of them explode sending fire particles around the area.

Regardless, the soldiers were able to snap out of it as some started to shoot their backside despite not seeing who exactly they were shooting at.

Not all of the militants were shooting at the back. Some were still facing their front in case there happens to be an attack coming from that direction.

However, little did they know that this time, it was coming down from up.

Landing in the centre of the circle made by the militant was a wild grey wolf. On the wolf's back were spikes that were shot out the instant it appeared.

Most of those with guns ended that instant. This also made those who noticed start shooting at it.

A rocket was sent at it and busted on impact. The wolf was covered in smoke when this happened. However, despite the rocket successfully hitting the wolf, the soldiers continued to fire at the beast.

'Shit! Don't you guys know when to stop?' lyon coursed. He was the wolf.

Altering his body though, lyon leapt out of the smoke in his mantis form. Throw out his acid spite and it rained down like water onto the men.

The acid effect began that instant as more soldiers started to cry out in pain and fall to the ground.

Due to the wave from before, all those that were standing on the top of the vehicle were all sent flying, this greatly reduced the gunfire and in no time their numbers were greatly reduced.

Meanwhile, the leader of the captain has long known that they have lost this fight, however, he still wants to know something that's why he activated his ability.

Soon, the gun fires were no longer heard. What could be heard was the small cry of pain from the soldiers who were laying with several wounds on their bodies.

Some, had their skin slowly pilling off, while some had a long spike stabbed into their body. There are those whose heads were crushed like potatoes.

All these people were on the verge of death. The most surprising thing is that a few hours ago, all these people were alive and healthy, in fact, were even preparing to go conquer a survival base. All this explains how capable and healthy they were a few hours ago, but right now, some were dead, while some were about to die.

Not long, aside from the painful wail coming out from the still-living soldiers, the captain picked up the sound of footsteps coming towards him from the front.

The captain's head was bent but on hearing this footstep, he slowly raised it to look at who owned those steps and who most likely was behind the ambush.

"Who are...you and why...did you attack us?" the captain asked in an anguished tone. Not everybody will be able to stand it after losing all his followers to someone else and the worst part of it was that he couldn't do anything about it, the other opponents were just too strong and invisible at the same time.

What even surprise the captain the most was that the person that appeared before him had the appearance of a teenager.

Meanwhile, Nate didn't answer the captain's question and glanced at his chest where a plastic nameplate was hanging.

On the palate, the name written there was Captain Zak.

"Captain Zak right?" Nate said. "What exactly prompted you to attack my base?" Nate asked.

The captain whose name was Zak was not surprised that name know his, after all, it was publicly displayed on his side chest on a small plastic plate.

"Who are you?" Zak asked confused.

"Now you want to know who I am. I asked you a question first," Nate said.

"Don't worry, I don't need you to tell me, I have so many ways of getting the truth all I need from you is your brain,"

With Nate saying that he summoned his axe and throw it at Zak. Zak himself didn't move. He was just there staring at Nate as he throw the axe.

However, the axe flew through Zak's body like it was nothing but air. Zak was still okay and had a smile on his lips.

"Hahaha...!,' he laughed out loud.

Seeing this, Nate was surprised. 'The phase power, I thought two people can't have the same power at the same time,' Nate wondered but soon snapped out of it.

"You might have killed my men easily, but you can't kill me, you can only harm what you can touch," Zak said still laughing though.

Nate called back his axe into his hand. 'There must be something different because one thing I have noticed about this captain is that he hasn't moved ever since the fight started. It's either one of the ways to activate his power or it was something else,' Nate thought as he started to observe Zak properly.

Zak for some reason was still standing in one place and this haven't gone unnoticed as he started to think. 'If I'm right his power, his power shouldn't be working like that of Leo, they have to be a limit and something is telling me that's the reason he is not moving,'

Soon, Nate's initial idea now was to get Zak to move away from his spot. He gets his weapon ready by altering it into a spear.

"Regardless of what your power may be, I'm sure you can't keep it on forever," Nate said to Zak.

"Nonsense! I can do this for the rest of the night and by this time, the backup I called will be here and trust me when I say this, what is installed for you and your base is hell," Zak said clenching his fist.

"We share see about that," Nate replied.

To Zak, it was as if Nate have suddenly disappeared from his face. Still confused at where Nate was, he heard a voice behind him whispering to his ears.

"Looking for me?" the voice said.

Since Zak wasn't expecting this, he quickly retreated away from the voice and its owner. He was just so frightened that his fear was now driving him.

Nate seeing this took this opportunity to hurl the ice spear at Zak. Stabbing him from behind, the spear came out from his front chest along with Zak's heart.

Zak's body stood still in shock as he was trying to comprehend what just happened. Nate also appeared in front of Zak that instant.

"Speaking of harming what I can't touch, maybe you just overestimated yourself," Nate said and called back his spear.

Zak could no longer hold himself and fall to his knees. He was about to die but before that, he had one thing he would like to say to Nate.

"The entire division 5 won't forgive you," the said and slumped down as his blood was flowing off the wound on his chest.

Nate looked at Zak and thought of something. "Maybe taking your brain wouldn't be the best decision. Your power is something special if one can use it properly," Nate muttered and placed his hands on Zak's forehead.

"Gather all the dead bodies," Nate said before thinking to himself. 'it's time I start using this death control skill more efficiently,'
