Hunting mission.

Honestly, after the war, the Matrix has given up on looking for Nate or trying to build up an army to go seek to fight against him again.

However, not long ago the skull head man decided to be honest with them. The skull head has told them how they came into this world, who summoned them and so on.

Out of all that the skull head has told them, what shocked them the most was that the skull head has made it clear to them that there is no way back to their world which means the five matrix could be considered trapped in a post-apocalypse world.

Of course, the matrix was not happy on hearing this news because of the enemy they have made so far. Sin for example is someone the matrix feared his existence and to make matter worse, they are not in a good relationship with Sin after what they did to him.

His return could also be considered as one of the reasons they rushed to attack Nate when they heard he was settled in one place. However, after this, although the mission failed the worst news the matrix wants to hear is that they are stuck in this world and this means they have to face Sin's return.

Regardless, all this matrix fear was one of the reasons the skull head visited. Of course, the matrix blamed the skull head for this, but they soon realized that blaming the skull head won't change anything at all.

With that, the matrix knows that they have to find a place to fit in this world or else they will just die. All these decisions, still, bring them back to their initial goal is to eliminate Nate.

The skull head has explained to them that although they couldn't go back into their previous earth, they can still build one for themselves in this new earth. The problem is that for them to build a world suitable for them in this new world, they have to first eliminate Nate along with his allies.

With this thought in mind, the matrix decided to continue with their normal domination of territory and growing army and their first target after losing their previous army was Speed and Cain.

The two hunters were unlucky to have fallen to this matrix power and they couldn't do anything about it.

Soon, not long, Tel was back to the surface clearly unaware of what has transpired between Mia and Chris. Chris is now an ally of the matrix and he wouldn't say anything to Tel.

"Follow me," Tel said and went back into the hole, Mia and Chris along with Speed and Cain all followed Tel into the hole that leads to a tunnel where they could see some ray of light reflecting on the wall of the tunnel ahead.

The tunnel wasn't wide enough to contain two people at a time so they have to follow each other from behind. While going through the tunnel, Mia was wondering if they should act and try forcing Tel to wear the ring also however he declined the idea. 'I don't know if backs up are here and how strong they are, even the action we took back then was too reckless because there could be a hidden camera that might have captured our act,' Mia thought to himself.

As soon as Mia finished wearing the ring to both, it was then he realized how careless he and Chris must have been for doing such an action inside the store because the hunter base could have a hidden camera either in the walls or some other stuff in the store. The last thing Mia would have wanted to do was for their cover to be blown.

There was Tel himself. The reason Mai nor any other matrix member has tried to possess any of the hunters so far was because of Tel. Having been with the group for a while, Mia has made sure to mark and understand their abilities and he knows that Tel's power has something to do with teleportation or appearing and disappearing power.

This was a tricky power to have become if they tried to do anything in the presence of Tel, the latter could simply disappear from their midst to somewhere they know nothing about. Although this power has some limitations to it, Tel has never made it too obvious for others to pinpoint its weaknesses.

Because of this, the matrix has been suspended to act on possessing any of the hunters. However, at this slightest moment Tel wasn't with them, Mia didn't hesitate to seize this opportunity.

Soon, they arrived at the place the light was coming from. It was a cave room with an open roof allowing both fresh ventilation and the ray of sun to enter the room.

The man that was sitting before Tel left to call the others was now standing upright while inspecting the new faces before looking at both Speed and Cain.

"Your captain has disappointed us, not only did he fail to use that power we gave him well, but he also allowed the enemy to get their hands on it," The man spoke to Speed and Cain.

At this point, Mia was grateful that the possession power still allow a victim to behave exactly like they used to if not, a time like this would have destroyed their ambition.

Meanwhile, inside the dark room, someone, in particular, couldn't hold back his joy. "Did you guys hear that, the hunter association gives power which means, they must know the method by which superhumans are being made, quick, we need to take over the base faster and get our hands on the information," Green said excitedly making both Red and Purple look at each other strangely.

"I appreciate you are opening up now, but things need to be taken slowly here, we don't want to rush things and mess things up," Purple said to Green.

Meanwhile, still inside the room, Speed and Cain's heads were bending down as the man speaks. "I will pity you two because of the people you guys came back with," The man said to them before looking at Mia and Chris. "I have heard what you two are capable of, to tell the truth, I'm impressed because not all day can a teenager even though with superpower try to take up the job you two are seeking," the man said to the two with no single emotion on his face.

"I have a special grudge for zombies, I will do anything within my power to make sure they no longer exist," Mia said while Chris just nodded in agreement.

"Since you say so, just know there is no turning back now, with that being said, I want you to show me what you are capable of," the man demanded.

Hearing this, Mia quickly called for the others to come out, a black potential opened and the rest of the matrix stepped out. After Mia showed what he was capable of, everyone was now looking at Chris.

Chris raised his feet up and forcefully descended them back on the ground.

Boommm!!!

The ground rumble violently to the extent that everyone couldn't foot themselves anymore and fall except Chris himself and the old man.

"I'm impressed with this, but you three still deserve a punishment but I will reduce the damage," the man stated while pointing at Tel, Speed and Cain.

"In this chest, you will find some equipment that will help you guys in your next mission, and a device that will explain more about this mission," the man said and looked up only to notice that the sun was already going down.

"Note, this mission is also a form of test for our new members," the man chipped in. "With that being said, I will be taking my leave," the man said and flew out from the open on the top disappearing into the air space.

When the man left, Kai wiped off the sweat on his face. "Shit...! This feeling, I have only gotten this type of feeling only from one person and that is Sin, just who was that guy?" Kai said as he breathe in heavily.

"Someone you should respect as long as you are working under the hunter organization," Tel replied and then approached the chest.

There is nothing special about the chest, not fancy designs or something of that sort, just a chest made out of plain wood.

Tel soon opened the and could see that the chest was filled with equipment made out of meteorites or beast crystal. However, Tel wasn't interested in this rather was looking for a device that will explain the mission.

Soon, he found a tablet at the bottom of the chest and opened it.

'It seems like our punishment is a hard mission, this could also be considered a mission impossible because we are going into a government territory in the forever Winter land, where we will have to investigate the appearance of a strong zombie called whitebonez ."
