Chapter 78 Be Careful What You Wish For

The park they chose is nothing special, the reason Avery agree to this place is because of the off chance she and Leah will have a duel and since the park has a huge empty space in the middle its the perfect place for it.

"So? Who are you again?" Leah asked once again, after they settle in a nearby bench with a table in the middle.

"I'm Avery of house Irlyrri. You may know my grand father, Alger instead." Avery said while trying to bow albeit it looks stiff than elegant.

"What's your business with Cleo?" Leah asked, not even bothering introducing herself to the azure haired girl in front of her.

"Wh-what do you mean? I think you're misunderstanding something. It was just a coincidence that I find him here." Avery explained. "I saw you first and I thought that you look strong so my plan earlier was to challenge you to a sparring." she added, trying her hardest to clear the misunderstanding.

"Sure let's go." Leah said.

"What?" Avery replied while tilting her sideways due to confusion.

"You said, you want to have a friendly sparring, right? Let's go. This park is perfect, it has a huge open space at the middle." Leah proposed.

Leah's words caught Avery off guard. She didn't expect that Leah will easily accept her offer. She then glance at Cleo for confirmation. Cleo just shrugs and steps back.

"Go easy on her Leah." Cleo whispered.

"Are you defending her now, darling?" Leah asked.

"I'm not, I'm just concern that you will accidentally kill her. I mean, look at her level, the difference between the two of you is way too high." Cleo explained.

Leah then took a glance at Avery to check her status.

"What's with her race? I thought there's only four major race." Leah asked.

"Don't ask me, we were together when we learn about those thing back in the Lavierre Kingdom." Cleo said.

"Well it doesn't matter whatever her race is." Leah said.

"Hey Leah, how about you invite her to the party before starting the sparring, you know just in case." Cleo suggested.

He really don't want this to escalate any further however both of the girls are dead set on doing this friendly sparring. So just incase Leah slips and accidentally kill the poor girl, her God's Gift will save them from the countless sleepless nights, dealing with her grand father once he founds out what happened to her daughter.

Leah just shrugs but still follows Cleo's suggestion. She's angry right now but she can still be reason with. She also don't want to deal with the repercussions if somehow she slip up.

"What taking you so long?" Avery asked impatiently.

"Hey Blue, accept the party invitation for now before we start our sparring." Leah said.

"What for? And my name is Avery not Blue." Avery replied. "Well It doesn't really matter." she added while accepting the party invitation from Leah. She also took out two sparring sword from her spatial ring then proceed to toss the other one at the direction of Leah.

Leah grabs the sword from the ground.

"Hey Blue give me one more sword, I'm a dual wielder." Leah said.

Avery took one more sword from her spatial ring and then toss it as well to Leah. She looks more excited than before, this is her first time having a sparring that uses two swords at once.

The two girls face each other and took their respective stance.
