Chapter 28 A New Path for Leah

After Leah heard Cleo's explanation about the new system update she proceed to choose her next path. This time instead of blindly choosing a class that match Cleo they decided to consider all the options first.

[Leah 2nd Promotion please choose a path]

[Crusader] [SpellSword] [Death Knight] [Dragoon]

Leah shares her status screen to Cleo.

'That bitch is a Crusader and Dragoon is one of the class Cleo got that focuses on mount combat' says by Leah inwardly

"Aside from SpellSword I've read all about this jobs in the public library. Maybe try asking the system for it?" suggested by Cleo.

"S-system give us more information about SpellSword and Death Knight please." muttered by Leah

[System will now display information about SpellSword and Death Knight.]

[SpellSword - A job that utilize sword and spell. Sword and Sorcery Mastery passive skill will max out. Aside from keeping all your previous skills, four will be added.]

[Death Knight - A job that utilize terror and necromancy. Terror Mastery will max out if you came from the Knight Path while Necromancy will max out if you came from the Mage Path. Aside from keeping all your previous skills, six will be added.]

"Both of these job are good but I think SpellSword is better since you can't really utilize the bonus from Death Knight's Mastery skill." suggested by Cleo. "What do you think Leah? Its your choice." he added.

Leah is also leaning on SpellSword with the same reason as Cleo and she's scared of the word Death and Necromancy cause she's not sure if it will change her appearance and Cleo might dislike her after that.

"Y-yes darling. I think SpellSword is a better choice as well. I'm also accustomed in using my Conjure Sword." answered by Leah.

The pair then chose their respective paths Cleo will thread the path of SwordMaster and Leah will thread the path of SpellSword.

"Elite monster? Isn't the difficulty spike too much from the ten kobolds." muttered by Cleo while frowning.

"Not only the difficulty. How can we find an elite monster..." Leah added.

While the pair is pondering on what to do next they head a ruffling on the bed.

"W-where am I?" asked by the raven colored hair with a hoarse voice.

The pair then turn around in the source of the weak sounding voice.

Cleo tried to approach her however Leah tugged his clothes from behind with her sword drawn.

"Darling are you sure this is safe?" asked by Leah with a worried tone.

"Don't worry Leah you know me I'm always cautious and besides we have "that" just in case." answered by Cleo with an assuring tone and referencing Leah's God's Gift.

"What happened to you Valerie?" asked by Cleo. He wants to help her up but decided to just wait for her to sit down on her own.

"T-they frame me up. Those bastards from the SwordSaints Guild fed me to the dog. Even Christoff didn't do anything even though we were together when the murder happened." explained by Valerie while trying to hold her tears.

"We owe you and Christoff a lot we will listen and at least help you recover for the time being." says by Cleo.

"I don't know why but Camilla suddenly stopped torturing me once she received a scroll." says by Valerie trying not to remember the experience she went through.

"Y-you need to eat and rest more I'll try and check if I can get some information." says by Cleo.

"I'll go buy food downstairs. Don't let your guard down. Run if you have to." Cleo whispered to Leah.
