My World Now

This is my first attempt at a story. Even if no one read it I am having fun. It’s a story about a women who finds herself in a world unknown. The sky is purple and the Elves hang out in the trees to the south waiting to attack and eat you alive. This is a chapter sample Village My red wings blend well in the dark sky. This is a small village, if you can call it that, not even fifty houses. The village is on a small hill. The roofs are a light blue grass and the walls are an orange stone. There are no walls encasing the town. There are a few rows of a purple flower surrounding the village. The leafs are blue with red vines through them. These are flowers that give off a perfume that the beasts don't like. The flowers also surround part of the field that has creatures that walk on two legs. They look something like dinosaurs/large chickens with no feathers, and skin like an elephant. They are used like horses. The grass is a light blue and reaches to the forest. Not a person can be seen in the village. Not a light in any of the houses. "When darkness comes all babies should be in bed cause monsters play at night." I laugh at myself and dive. A red light lances through the sky from the column on the nearest corner of the village just missing me "Now that pisses me off," I say out loud, and let loose a black flame from my mouth. The flame hits the column. Then I let loose another. This time I hear a scream as the house I aim at bursts into flames. I blast house after house.

The Beginning

I find myself standing back in this dry cave made of an orange and red stone. I smile and turn towards the entrance the weakening sun is still pouring in and you can see the different layers of stone on the walls. I take my first steps towards the future. When I get to the entrance I look towards the sky, the sun is slowly sinking beyond the horizon. I look towards to incoming darkness the two moons can be seen the smaller one in the shadow of the larger one. I take a deep breath and decide to head back towards the village for one last time.

I change back to my Florensin shape before I get to the Rayback field. I look up into the star filled sky and think, "It should bother me. I've trapped over 1000 creatures in a bag and there is no way they can get help. That is pretty F***ed up." I look around and parked alongside one of the houses is a covered wagon. I smile and take two Raybacks. One is Fuma it had belonged to Wizzal, the other is FuRa it had belongs to Marda's son. They both know me well and quickly come when I call and hook them up to the wagon. Funny fact all the Raybacks the Florensin have start with Fu.

I guide Fuma and FuRa through the empty village. A sadness fills the air and it feels desolate. Not even the normal few watch villagers can be seen. I follow the small yellow dirt road through the village and out the other side heading down the road. I travel for a few hours before I come to a nice field with a small pond and pull over for the night. After examining the field for awhile I check my necklace.

I've made about 50 of these necklaces just to be sure I'm covered. I also have one made into my belt and another strapped to my upper leg. I take some crystals that I made and start placing them around the edge of the field. The scent of Lizeli flowers fill the air as I go along.

The crystals are scent crystals that Wizzal invented. He thought they were a bust until I found them and had him teach me how he made them. I started making them Lizeli scented and they seem to work very well as beast deterrents or as I'm using them now movable fences. I then unhitch the Raybacks and leave them in the crystal enclosure to graze while I head into the forest to hunt. I've no concerns about the Florensin passing by. They rarely leave the village and with what I've done they will be hiding in the caves for weeks before any of them come back out.

The forest quickly closes around me as I head into the tree line. The sound of buzzing fills the air. The smell of creatures and the sound of a insect like night bird is in a nearby tree. I head past and start to follow the scent of a large Bulring. It's the orange and yellow striped pig I ate back at the Village.

Not long after I start following the trail I pickup on a different scent. I quickly change tactics and head towards the new scent. As I near the scent I jump into a nearby tree and take the high route. I reach into my bag and pickup speed dropping crystals as I go.

The creatures are confused and instead of running they all back up making a circle as they snort and honk. I finish closing the crystal circle before I look at my catch. I stare down at the orangish yellow creatures they have thick long necks and look a lot like Llamas. Their fur is about an inch long and they have small horns on their heads. I smile as I send threads down one at a time. The threads are very tuff and lite.

The Partma have no clue the threads are there as they fearfully look into the night. Twelve of them are caught just like that. There are fifteen in all. I pull the threads tight all at once pulling their heads up straight and tie the threads up in the trees. I jump down and open one side of the ring and start guiding them apart. They resisted a little, but soon I have one of the babies in my hands. I hear a honk of anger and grab the mothers thread in my hand letting go of the baby. I cut the thread and push the mother towards the hole I made.

The mother takes off and the baby follows. I do the same with another baby. When I get to the last one there is no protest I look down at the little one and see it's fur has been pulled out in areas, and it has a small limp as well. "He could be of use," I think. I tie him up to a nearby tree and continue my inspection. I release two other pregnant females, I keep one and release a young male then close the circle once more.

I look at the nine that are left and put down my bag with a smile. I remove the pregnant female and tie her next to the little one. She honks in protest and pushes the little one away. It don't take me long to get to work. I kill the rest fast by breaking the necks one by one I then string them in the trees so I can clean and drain them. Once I slit the throats, I look down at the little one shaking and scared.

I ignore the females protesting as I get closer. I take out one of my necklaces put it on the little foal and guild him back to the field. I'm not concerned with wild animals the crystals will keep them away. He keeps trying to escape and bucks trying to break free as I pull him through the trees. Once I get to the field and guild him in, I remove the necklace and let him go. He runs into the field and runs straight through trying to enter the forest on the other side of the field. He makes a honk sound and comes to a stop in surprise as he comes to the scent barrier. I leave as I see him start making a lap around the field looking for a way back into the forest.

It don't take long to get back to the kill site the smell of blood fills the air mixed with the smell of Lizeli. My mouth starts to water and I turn to the pregnant female. She honks in fear and I take out a necklace and put it around her neck. I smile as I cut the thread and I say, "good luck." She stumbles back a few steps before she takes off like a rocket and I soon follow.

The trees fly by as I sail through the trees the smell of fresh blood still fills the air. It don't take long till the trees clear and I see her in front of me. I spring forward landing in front of her. She barely has time to turn as I lunge my claws heading for her throat. She honks in terror as she falls to the ground her life's blood rushing from her neck and flowing over the necklace.

I look at her and smile as I slice open her belly and go straight for the unborn baby. Once I get back to the carcasses I let the first one down lower so I can work with it. I carefully skin and clean it acting like nothing has happened. I put the skins in the Void bag, carve up the meat and add it to the Void bag. I then spend the rest of the night collecting herbs and firewood in the forest.

It's a little after day break when I find myself back at the field. The young Partma is eating the darker blue grass with the Raybacks. I head to the small pond and clean up after the bloody night. Then head to the wagon and start working on making a drying racks for the herbs. I get the first skin out of the bag and wrap it around some poles over a fire pit. I then cut some of the meat up and hang the meat off sticks I'd tied to the poles and start a fire so I can smoke the meat.

I then get salt out of the Void bag with the first skin and start processing the skin. For three nights I go hunting in the woods. It takes me over a week to process all the meat and herbs I collect. I get baskets out of the Void bag filling them with dried and salted meats, as well as dried herbs and berries that I collect from the forest. with the use of crystals by the time I'm ready to leave I have a nice stack of skins. I smile once I add the rope, blankets, and bags I Made from my thread and think, "this looks like a merchants wagon." Each day I take care of the young Partma I'd found. Looking after its leg and giving him some extra treats from my bag. He is starting to warm up to me. Now it is time to set out down the road.

The Partma is reluctant to come when I called Fuma and FuRa. After a few minutes hesitation he comes over his small tail wagging as he Honks at the Raybacks. I hitch Fuma and FuRa to the wagon. Then go to the back of the wagon and pull out two long sticks with holes in them. I put them on the sides of the back of the wagon and secure them with pegs. I then use my thread and get the young Partma to the back of the wagon and hook him up to the poles.

He tries fighting the bridle and poles, but it don't take him long to stop as we pull out and he is forced to follow behind the wagon. I look up to the sky as we pull out and say, "That's gonna be your name. Llama." I laugh and say, "You do look like a weird colored Llama with horns." My smile leaves my face as I say to myself, "what's a Llama?" I shake my head and look ahead with a sigh as I start my journey.
