John Walker an 18 years old guy had a lot of regrets in his life just like every human do. Everything went dark afterwards. When he opened his eyes once again, Walker was granted not only a second chance at life but also a wish granting system. He went around granting people's greatest wishes. But what if this wish granting system wasn't as easy as it is? If it was merely granting people's wish life would have been very easy but not when he is one day challenged by the unknowns? WARNING: This is not your normal system novel that starts with fighting at the beginning chapters. Yes, they will be a lot of fighting scenes but not in every chapter. This is my first time writing so please support me and don't be too harsh on me since I am a human with feelings.

Graviel's Wish Got Denied

"I wish I would have a place to lay my head on, never to go hungry forever," The man shaky voice said. Harry waited for the notification to pop up but surprisingly it didn't come.

He was about to ask the man the same question assuming he was lying when the notification came in.

[Greatest wish initiated]

[Greatest wish granted]

Harry smiled feeling so happy for himself despite that the task was not completed. He still held onto the man's hands expecting something to happen just like the old granny's granddaughter case but nothing happened.

"What a nice wish you have there. I am sure your wish will be granted because of your honesty," Harry smiled at the guy reluctant to let go of the man's hands.

'Is it possible that the system malfunctioned?' Harry continued looking around for changes. He had to let go of the guy's hands when he began giving him weird gazes.

Harry stood up and made to cross the road to the other side of the road where he previously sat. He didn't take up to five steps when a white sports car halted close to where the pale shivering beggar sat.

He saw a guy wearing an all-white outfit run out of the car with a blue quilt in his hands. Judging from the car, expensive accessories and outfit the guy in white was wearing Harry knew he wasn't a poor man but a very wealthy man.

He stopped walking and watch to see what was going on.

He saw the wealthy man wrap the beggar with the quilt. "Cousin, I am so sorry I found you late," Harry heard the wealthy guy talk to the beggar.

"After uncle died and you suddenly went missing, I have been searching for you. I was so worried about how you were faring, I couldn't sleep until I got a lead about your whereabouts. I am sorry I wasn't such a good cousin," The guy in white embraced the beggar.

Seeing the drama unfolding, Harry was too stunned to react. It was as if this was the first time he saw what the system was capable of doing. "Although the system can be very annoying, the fact that it can grant people's greatest wishes makes it awesome. I can't wait to explore all it has in stock for me," Harry was concentrated staring at the beggar being cared for by the rich man. He didn't even notice Graviel's car parked close to where he sat earlier.

Graviel came out of the car and walked to where his boss stood. He followed his line of sight to see what on earth could captivate his boss so much but what he saw wasn't interesting enough to grasp anyone's attention.

He wondered why his boss was so focused staring at the two strangers instead of cracking his brain to come up with a solution for the problem their company was currently facing.

He was certain that consumers of the game will begin suing their company if the big virus wasn't fixed as soon as possible. A company as renowned as theirs getting sued won't be good for the reputation they have managed to build up all these years.

"Boss what are you staring at?" Graviel asked the guy who wasn't even aware that he was there.

It was only when he spoke that Harry realised that someone was standing beside him. "Nothing, let's go," Harry turned and walk to where Graviel parked the car. He entered the backseat and waited for Graviel to enter the car.

"My car is parked close to the intersection at the front. Take me there," Harry ordered forgetting about the food he sent Graviel to get for him.

Being very considerate Graviel picked up the white shopping bag close to him and extend his hand to the backseat. "Boss, this is the food you ordered. Eat it before it gets cold," Graviel ignited the car and drove away after Harry collected the bag containing the well-packaged meal.

The drive from there to the intersection was only a five minutes drive. Graviel who expected his boss to follow him to the office to attend to the issue at hand was surprised when Harry got out of the car.

He also came out of the car and hurried to block Harry's path. "Boss, about the issue I told you about...,"

"The issue will get sorted before you reach the office I can assure you of that," Harry spoke all big despite not knowing how that is gonna happen.

The intelligent Graviel showed a sign of confusion after his boss gave him his words. "And how are you gonna do that if you don't follow me to the office to check out the problem yourself?".

Although he doubts himself, he frowned when he saw that Graviel also doubted him. " Is there anyone who can resolve the problem except me?" Harry asked, his face glares focused on the innocent guy's face.

He continued when Graviel nodded his head negatively. "If that is the case that means you have no other choice than to believe what I said," Harry said with a stern expression.

He turned to leave only to walk back to the former place he stood. "Graviel, what is your greatest wish?" Harry's question caught Graviel off guard. The way he was hesitating to utter a word showed he was having problems saying it.

Harry dropped the bag on the floor and held his hand before he could respond. "My greatest wish is that we resolve the current problem our game is facing," Graviel said. For some reason, he didn't look Harry in the eyes while he spoke.

[Wish initiated]

Harry smiled as he waited for the congratulatory message to pop up on the green screen.

[Wish denied]

Harry's once excited expression fell instantly, the moment the message popped up on the screen.

'Isn't it only me who can't initiate my greatest wish so how come his wish got denied?' Harry was so lost in thought that he completely forgot to release Graviel's hand.

It was the instant he wanted to give up hope of completing the wish for the day it occurred to him that the message that always pops on the screen each time he asked people for their greatest wish was always "Greatest Wish Initiated". But this wasn't the case with Graviel's turn.

'This is to say that wasn't his greatest wish but he lied to me', Harry did the final analysis.
