Chapter 6: My Madam's husband

The doctor was so shocked at her response, he didn't know why his approach in convincing Itoya not to abort the pregnancy did not go well "those the gods wants to kill they first make go made" he said silently to himself. He still had a gimp of hope the she might go back home since she was not too familiar with Ubiaja townImmediately she left the hospital she was about to take a cab to another hospital when she saw her friend Amen that relocated to the city (Edo) in search for job, "who am I seeing" Amen said smiling"Amen long time" Itoya said reluctantly"You look too dull for my liking, what is the matter" she said sharply. Itoya tried to murmur few words but failed, Amen was shocked at her behavior "this can't be my Itoya who bullied you? Is it your husband? How is your baby?" She was asking questions upon questions, when she discovered that Itoya eyes were like a rain threatens cloud, she couldn't help but embraced Itoya. After releasing Itoya from the embrace she held Itoya hand and said "follow me" they both walked together silently to a canteen. They both sat down facing each other. "This place belongs to me" Amen broke the silence "feel at home, what you will want me to offer you" she said quickly when she saw the shock in Itoya eyes "Water" she said "Only water?" Amen asked surprised "Yes, am not in the mood of taking anything more than that" she said gently. Amen asked one of her sales girls to bring water for them; she looked at her friend's worried face and said "how are your husband and baby" "They are fine" Itoya said"What about Eseiwi, how is she doing?"She asked"Eseiwi is fine". "Feel at home, this is my canteen you are free to ask for anything you want" Amen said smiling "How come about this place, how were you able to establish this place? Itoya asked"It's a long story my dear, I don't think you can wait to hear all I will have to narrate to you" she said looking straight into Itoya eyes with a painful smile"Am all ears , I truly wants to know we had sheared our joy and our pains together in the past and it cannot be different now that we are seeing each other" Itoya said with a pinch of joy"well since you insist I will tell you "she said smartly and continued "if you remembered vividly, back in our secondary school days I don't have common note book to write to even talk about buying text books, I had well to do parents but they prefers male children to female. I had to stop when my parents refuse to pay my final senior secondary school examination fee. I followed my aunt Ivie to the city (Edo) in search for a job so that at least I can get enough money to enroll for a senior secondary certificate examination, I was given to my aunt's friend to work in her house as a house help. After two weeks of staying in the house, my madam's husband started showing advances on me. One faithful afternoon I was at home alone sleeping after doing the required chores; deep in my sleep I felt someone was touching sensitive parts of my body , at first I thought it was breeze but when the pressure became higher I had no choice other than to open my eyes. My vision was blurred; I struggled so hard to see what or who was standing beside me. the next thing I discovered was that the person was not standing beside me but was over me I tried to push him off but his strength was too much for me , I struggled hard to free myself . when I discovered that my strength will do no good I decided to shout out but immediately I started shouting he used his mouth to grab my lips , kissing me as an hungry lion . He reached his hands to cloths and tore it; he put his hand straight to my panties dragging it off my waist tearing it. I was so helpless , I prayed silently for a miracle to happen but it was as if the whole natural elements were against me .At this time he was already naked , he opened my legs violently and force himself on me , I felt a sharp, very sharp pain; it sent a sharp painful sensation to my body, my mind and my head" she looked straight into Itoya eyes and said "I lost my virginity to a total stranger, an intruder, a wicked soul, my first kiss and virginity was gone" with tears on her face she paused to allow her words sink deep into Itoya mind , Itoya on the other hand couldn't help crying for all her friend had gone through all alone. They both cried holding onto each other hands. Seconds passed into minutes, when they were able to comfort themselves she continued "my whole body was broken the bed I was laying on was stained with blood, he looked at me with disdained put on his clothes and said "the day I hear you telling my wife or anybody what happened I will kill you, my wife will not even believe you so keep quiet" he said laughing sarcastically and walked out of my room. I was heartbroken, I cursed my parents for making me go through everything by not protecting and caring for me .who will I tell that will believe me. I cried and cried but my pride was gone, I looked down to my body with sadness" as she spoke tears was still rolling down her cheek as she remembers all that she had gone through. "My madam's husband continued treating me as a rage and toy that you can just play with and dump when fed up, until one day I became very sick.
