Scarlet put on her jeans and boots and sit infront of the mirror and do her make-up. After a while, she smile looking at her master piece. She had familiar with the style since she had done this for some time now. Scarlet put black hat and letting her ponytail hair through the hold. With dark red lipstick she looks bossy. Taking her coat, she headed out.
The villa was dead silent there was nobody at home. Scarlet dismissed the servants at ten like always. For Rolland Clark, he didn't come home so she doesn't care.
Scarlet look at her watch, it was already passed eleven. The race event starts at midnight so she need to reach before that.
Yes! that's true. Scarlet was a fearless car racer.
She hop inside her ferrari happily, " Baby, i'm back." She smirk. Putting on her gloves and night glasses she drove out off the villa.
Even though she never went outside. Scarlet had a car and brought with her when she enter her new home. No body question her why she have a car when she never go out. Maybe it's for emergency. Only her brother know that she is the undercover car racer in recent years.
Scarlet reached the venue before time and there were already many people present.
" It never get less ah!" she look outside.
Who would not know the owner of this blue ferrari? People follow the movements of the car. Scarlet had been the winner of Westwind car race for three years already. It mostly consist of rich people and it always took place at midnight avoiding the traffic. Not to say, all kind of people are combine here if you are not strong or have a proper background. One needs to be careful.
Scarlet walk out off the car like a empress. Though people are disappointed that she is low-key and hide her body. They know by looking that she had a good figure though she cover well and with hat and make-up. They always cheer at her which she doesn't bother at all. Scarlet cover up so she can hide her identity.
Like always the racers had to go for register process everytime they hold the race. Scarlet finished the form and sit down on one of the chair before the race.
" I feel good that you came, Midnight Miss." Tony smile sitting next to her. He is the manger here.
Racers, they don't use their real name while some does. So, even Scarlet used her name as Midnight Miss but nobody complain even if they were curious.
" Like to see me absent." she smirk.
" I didn't mean that...i see you are confident as always." he laughed.
" I am gonna beat out of your ass today, Midnight." not too far someone roar at her.
" Gladly welcome..please show me, Mr.Li." Scarlet replied mockingly and look at someone near.
Mr.Li was also someone from rich family owning big company. He hate her to the core. He was determined that he will let Scarlet lose someday. After she join the race three years back he was place in third no matter how hard or good he tried. He hate losing to a girl.
Scarlet was looking at the one who had a nice built and handsome face. Even though he don't use his real name Scarlet know who really he is. Christ was the winner before she appear but change to first position later and remain same till date. He also noticed her staring at him.
" Alright, be careful. It's time now." Tony said before he left. She only nodded.
Before getting on, Christ call out to her.
" Midnight Miss, let's have a good race." he smile. Christ had a warm and gentle voice that can melt any woman heart but not Scarlet. Hahaha...anyway!
" Looking forward to it, Handsome." Scarlet smile back. They always race and play in fair. Afterall, this race include life and death. One who die is his own lose so racers also pay attention to oneself. Who would want to lose his life, afterall. The price for this race is millions of money and who says nobody want the money. Of course, Scarlet enjoy this not because of money but her will in crazy thing.
Not long, they all disappeared in the mist after gun shot. It has been thirty minutes they have been playing all kinds of snake movements but the leading were Scarlet and Christ with Mr.Li coming in between.
" Midnight, you are dead today." Li shouted excited. He thought she will trap in his trick but before he finished his thought his car was being crashed.
Scarlet had long been seen this coming so she make her move first. Crashing his car to his own trap. It was her luck that she got a sharp sight and sense.
Scarlet while making a U turned passed Christ car and was leading the race saw the little movement not far away. Right then Mr.Li who was following up close to them speed up to her space. He show her an evil smile and Scarlet understand little.
" Mr.Li, pardon me if this is not your trick." Scarlet murmured and turning right to him and avoid the iron rode that was coming her direction. She crash his car letting him take the attack from iron rode.
Looking through her mirror Scarlet drove away leaving the brutal accident behind and laughed at herself proudly.
"Scarlet, it must have been you if not for your smart act. Thanks to that annoying bastard." she talk to herself.
She don't know if this plan was Mr.Li or someone else. Only she suspect it.
Christ who was following behind saw what clearly happened before him. ' Midnight Miss is scary' he thought. But he was sure that it was Mr.Li plan for he had heard him talking to others before the race.
" It serves the evil man for his own evil mind." Christ smirk and chase after the blue ferrari.
The race end with the winner goes to Scarlet and so on. Who would tame that cold and gorgeous woman! everyone thoughts were same this time.
They use their real age that's also one reasons why many used fake names. Midnight Miss was twenty-two and popular here among the Westwind companies. Whereas Christ was twenty-nine, Handsome. Mr.Li was same as Handsome.
Everybody know about the accident but they hardly consider because they know the rules about life and death. It might be a cruel way but everbody accept it otherwise why would they come here in first place.
For Mr.Li since he fall on his own trap his people rescued him letting him to spend time in hospital. What a great turned of event! memorable one ah!
Scarlet did not spent time celebrating there for she live in different house now not like before if someone discover her then she is done. So she went back not wasting her time anymore and more over she was dead tired. She only curse the bastard for letting her use her extra energy and effort in the race.
Scarlet took a warm shower after removing all her trace of suspection. Putting on her pajamas she went down for the kitchen. She was really hungry after the race. Taking some snacks and bottle of milk she sit infront of Tv switching on to vh1 channel. Scarlet didn't feel sleepy for dawn is her favourite.
Scarlet was muching on and happily watching when she heard door bell ringing non-stop.
Feeling annoyed, who could it be at this late hour. It was already two in the morning. Scarlet walk to the door.
"Who is so persistent?"
