The Formation of the Knights
Altria's confusion was palpable as she absorbed Morgan's words. A knightly order? Are you forming a new unit? The prospect intrigued her, and she contemplated the implications. Teacher Merlin mentioned that His Majesty Lot and His Royal Highness Morgan are not the same. King Uther's only daughter, the future of Camelot, may lie with the Queen and Lot. Becoming part of this new order could pave the way for a distinguished future.
Resolute in her decision, Altria said, "Your Royal Highness, I am willing to join your Knight Order."
Morgan smiled with satisfaction. "Good."
Altria, curiosity piqued, asked, "How many people are in this knightly order?"
"There are only two at the moment," Morgan replied, avoiding eye contact.
Altria's curiosity intensified. "And who is the other member?"
"Your righteous brother, Kai," Morgan said, looking up at the clear sky with a hint of relief.
Oh, only two of us? Altria mused. If Kai is the chief and I'm second, that's a fair position. With a sense of balance restored, she felt content. I might even get to enjoy more bread tonight.
"Let's go find your righteous brother Kai," Morgan instructed.
"Yes," Altria agreed, following Morgan to locate Kai.
When they found Kai, he was receptive to joining the newly formed order. "Yes, I'm on board," Kai affirmed.
Morgan felt pleased with the establishment of her knightly order. "With these two members, our Knight Order is effectively established."
"By the way, Your Highness, do we need a name for our order?" Kai asked.
Morgan, momentarily caught off guard, realized the importance of naming their order. If we don't name it properly, people might mock it as the 'Knights of the Round Pot.' She needed a suitable name and decided to seek Lott's help.
Naming the Order
"Morgan, you've formed a knightly order?" Lott inquired, surprised as he continued eating apples. "Before your sister?"
"Yes," Morgan said, feigning indifference while secretly hoping for praise. "Since our soldiers lack combat effectiveness, I'm creating an elite team of knights."
Lott, contemplating, wondered, Are all Pendragon women inclined to establish knightly orders? Arthur did it, and now Morgan is following suit.
Morgan noticed Lott's inner thoughts and felt a twinge of competitiveness. My sister established her order first, but that's not the end. I'll prove my order's worth, and I'll make sure it stands out.
"Lott, help me come up with a name for my knights," Morgan requested, determined to outshine her sister's achievements.
Lott, puzzled by the task, suggested, "How about the 'Knights of the Round Table'?"
Morgan hesitated. The term 'Round Table' seems better than 'Round Pot,' but it still sounds a bit off. She didn't want her knights to be associated with a dinner table.
Lott explained, "The Round Table signifies equality, with no starting or ending positions. It represents the idea that all knights are equal partners."
Morgan's face flushed with realization. I misunderstood the name. It's not about food but equality. She decided to accept Lott's suggestion. "Yes, the 'Knights of the Round Table' it is."
Morgan chose not to reveal her initial misunderstanding about the name. I won't admit to my foolish thoughts about dry food. I'll keep that to myself.
Turning to Lott, she said, "I'll start training my knights now. Please prepare the food and wait for me to return in the evening."
"Understood," Lott replied.
Morgan left with determination, eager to begin training her knights. Meanwhile, Lott, feeling a mix of amusement and resignation, thought, I came up with the name 'Knights of the Round Table' when King Arthur was still a scout knight. Oh well, forgive me for the unoriginality.
With that, Lott continued his day, leaving the knights and their new name behind.
