The battle with the king.

Is this it?

Is this how I felt during my past life? My time as Vlad de' Voldigald? The king of all vampires that roamed the earth?.

If this was truly how I felt, then I'm sorry, Mom, Akane. But right now… I bear no grudge against anyone.

The thrill… of battle, ….

"Is the best feeling ever, is it not?! Benimaru!!!" I yelled, flying out of the collapsing building as Benimaru roared, crushing everything around him.

Still holding James by the shirt, I hovered in the sky, looking down at my once loyal knight turned demon.

We've been fighting for a good thirty minutes, and yes, I'm not impressed but it's still a good means of entertainment.

"W..wait wait! Are we supposed to be doing this in the open? People are watching!!!"

That was James.

His cry did alert me though. I looked towards my left and right and could see people running while screaming for help, and others were simply trying to get a recording before the cops arrived.

Cliché.

"You don't have to worry about that, I doubt they'll remember in the next thirty minutes." I responded.

Yes indeed, My father, Signori, once placed a spell on the world as a way to spite me. Any interactions we supernatural beings make with the world is easily forgotten.

He was powerful enough to put such a spell on the world. Truly vexing.

"Rarrrr!!!".

Benimaru charged towards me at full speed, his snake body crushing the ground with every distance he covered.

I could also see the devil who summoned him standing at a safe distance, he seemed to be attending to the girl that was with him.

Grin!!!

"Hold on, this might get a bit bumpy!" With a small warning to James, I also charged forward, James screaming being covered by the force of the wind pushing against my face.

First, Benimaru opened his mouth. A huge blue beam rushing out of his mouth and speeding towards me.

I was prepared for that.

Slashing through the beam, it went splinting into opposite sides, exploding any and everything in its path.

I cleaved through the beam, moving fast towards Benimaru's face, but he must have seen my next move. He seized his beam attack, moving backwards before I could even slash him in the face.

"Benimaru!!!" I yelled, throwing James to the sky as I slammed my palm against one another, "Entertain me!!!".

The moment I separated my hand, flames glued themselves to my skin. I maintained my hand movement, watching as the flames followed my every movement

And then, I did it. Taking my hand gesture in the form of a bow and arrow, and yet again, the flames followed.

In my hands, was a flaming bow and a scorching arrow, ready to be fired at my target as the flames kept increasing.

"Go." I said. Releasing my hold on the strings, only for my scorching arrow to charge forward with a relentless speed that left sonic booms in its wake.

Benimaru was too slow to dodge such an attack. It is going to hit for sure.

…..

"Incredible… he's able to dodge Benimaru's attacks too easily." Dylan spoke, standing on the rubbles as he looked up at Leon from a distance.

"Once again I'm shocked by your performance, you never fail to amaze me, King of Vampires Vlad Voldigald." Dylan spread his arms apart with a smile hitched on his face, "It's marvelous, I could never imagine doing anything better!".

"F…father."

"Uhn?" Dylan turned his gaze to the side where he could see his daughter, groaning painfully on the ground.

"H..elp, I need …blood." She pleaded.

Dylan sighed, "What am I going to do with you?" He uttered as he moved closer to her, the screams of people and the sound of the police cars echoed in the background.

Once he was close, Dylan sat down on the ground beside his daughter, rubbing his hand on her hair.

"Once my demon fail in the hands of the vampire king. Although every human witnessing it will wake up thinking it was all a dream, recordings will vanish and every other source that said… the hunters will not forget this." He continued petting her head, "They are devils too, since they work in secret for the government, they have more connections than I do".

"W-What ar…e you talking…about? Can't you see I'm dying?!" Erica yelled.

"Precisely why I'm telling you this now. The mission of killing the vampire king no longer rests on our shoulders, you can rest now." Dylan said with a smile.

Erica was eye-widned in realization, her old man never planned on saving her from the predicament she was in.

"D.. don't do this to me, father.."

"I'm not doing anything." Dylan stood up from the ground, turning his gaze towards the sky where he could see Leon, aiming his fiery arrow at Benimaru.

"Are you seriously going to abandon me?! Un dad!"

"Some sacrifices are needed, but rest assured, your death won't be in vain." Dylan responded.

The speeding flaming arrow, charged forward with so much force, the ground was scorched just from the flames passing over it.

Benimaru summoned three main barriers, each one placed in front of the other. A desperate means to protect himself from the incoming attack.

Booooom!!!

The flames surged towards the barrier with an immense force, a fiery onslaught cracking the structure upon impact.

Panic gripped those nearby, a frenzied sprint initiated by those desperate to escape the impending inferno. Those unable to evade the advancing fire were consumed in a mere heartbeat, their existence reduced to ash.

As the barrier succumbed to the relentless assault, an eerie transformation occurred – the flames took on a mesmerizing purple hue.

The onslaught intensified, the second barrier's resistance futile as it shattered into fragments.

The final barrier fought valiantly for a fleeting moment, but its inevitable demise mirrored the others, breaking into myriad pieces.

The ensuing explosion, a cataclysmic display of power, razed every standing structure in its wake. A colossal detonation painted the sky with a vivid red hue, a testament to the sheer magnitude of destruction unleashed upon the once bustling landscape.

Leon watched as everything played out. Catching James before he touched the touched, he spoke,

"Looks like he managed to escape." Leon stared at the aftermath of his attack, nothing but an empty landscape with burning buildings and cars.
