The church’s guests

Anna and me are both sitting in a room adorned with paintings all depicting the universe in some sense, paintings worth millions. The paintings aren't the only expensive thing in this room though, everything from the walls outfitted with gold to the mosaic windows must be worth more than anyone could imagine. And across from Anna and me, on the other side of the room can continous screaming be heard. "Look, the idea was that you would stay at that planet for atleast a few months and after that we could transfer you over to the byantik states, but not only were you found out within two weeks! You also killed those soldiers immediately! They had practically zero evidence, they would have brought you in for questioning and would have let you leave after asking the routine questions." A kid, with brown skin, dreads reaching till his shoulders, a star earring in both his ears and with an school outfit on who's no older than sixteen year old is currently scolding both me and Anna, he looks beyond annoyed, I totally get why, he always has to clean up our mess.

"well maybe they shouldn't have pointed their guns at us! Then I wouldn't have cut of their heads!" But if there is anything Anna doesn't like it's losing an argument.

*sigh* "Maybe I have to explain it once again, but currently you, Anna, are to everyone's general knowledge dead, everyone who does know you're alive wants you dead and not only that, but you're harboring the brother of what might as well be the most infamous man in this galaxy!" Haha yes, I'm the brother of Osel Sunti, nothing special though, especially when your wife is the person who killed him. "And you!" The kid starts pointing at me, with a face that radiates annoyance. "Keep her in check will you! Isn't that what married couples are supposed to do, to fill in eachothers faults?! You two are both absolutely hopeless!" It looks like he got all his anger out as he starts to control his breathing. "Look we can't keep doing this, the church has a lot of influence, but it won't be enough if you keep doing what you're doing." The one scolding us right now is called Luca, one of the cardinals of the cosmic church, the most influential religion in our galaxy. With that influence comes a lot of power, like keeping both the most famous person and the brother of the second most famous person in this galaxy hidden from the general public. Anyway, even amongst the cardinals luca is a very influential member in the church, this is because of one reason only, his father is one of the popes of the church.

"I can probably help you two, one or two more times, but you must understand, there are agencies from every corner of this galaxy looking for you two and they want you both dead. Those 'honorbound' swordwielders from Oviel, the magicians only interested in the end from Oxward, that group of freaks from the Biantek States and last but not least the observers from the Quartek republic. These agencies were originally secret to the public and so it was very difficult for them to operate in public, but the world is changing and they're all slowing being introduced as 'heroes of the people, who keep the galaxy safe'. Its becoming easier and easier for them to function, anyway what I'm trying to say here is: they're going to find you sooner than later if you keep acting like this and you both know just how strong these groups truly are. So please Anna and Zer don't do anything reckless so we can keep you two hidden safely."

"hahaha! It's so cute seeing you worry for us!" Anna stands up from her seat and starts to roughly ruffle through Luca's hair. "I can still remember the day I saved you from those ruffians, you were still so young!" 

"Hey stop it!" He tries to swat her hand away, but after many failed attempts Luca once again starts pointing towards me. "Stop her!" He tries to look intimidating but with what is going on right now, it's very difficult to take him serious. I should stop her though, Luca is the one who's keeping us safe afterall.

I take Anna's hand off of Luca's head. "Let's stop this for now, we have more to discuss don't we? Luca, where will you be taking us now?" He tries to once again sit in his chair, in a way that would radiate authority, but that image has been broken unfortunately."

"haha, I will be taking you to the safest place in the galaxy. None other than to Buldigst!" 

"To Buldigst?!" Both me and Anna scream out. Buldigst, the capital city of the capital planet of Oviel. "You do understand that not only those swordfreaks, but also the Ovielian government call that city their home, don't you?!" Anna is suprised, just as anyone would be. If a government is searching for you the last place you wanna be is right next to their headquarters right?

"I understand it sounds weird, but I have three reasons for my decision. First of all, the Ovielian government isn't the only one who has their headquarters in Buldigst, so does the church, it's the easiest the help you two in a place where I can exorcise my authority the most. Second, the last place the enemy is gonna try and find you two is in a place which would seem the most dangerous, a place like Buldigst. And lastly, it's the place where the most fun happens, so with you two there, it's a guarantee that even more fun will take place." aah... I had the feeling that something weird was going on throughout our conversation with Luca, but now I understand. Normally Luca has a jester-like attitude to himself, he always tries to find fun for himself in every situation, but in an effort to come over more intimidating he had to leave that jester side behind for a while, but it looks like shedding ones persona is not as easy as it looks. Of course this doesn't all mean that he isn't genuinely trying to keep us safe, he does genuinely think Buldigst will be a safe place for us, he just somehow always finds a way to have some fun too. "So let's go to Buldigst why don't we?!"
