Old Madam Bai

As soon as Bai Sheng entered his office, his secretary, Chen Wenxu knocked, and without bothering to look up, he asked him to come in.

"Good morning Boss." Chen Wenxu bowed.

"What is it?"

Chen Wenxu cleared his throat and asked carefully. "Boss, do you forget that you are going to pick up the Old Madam from the airport today?"

Bai Sheng massaged his temple lightly.

He had truly forgotten that his grandmother was coming back home today from abroad.

"When will her plane landed?"

"12 PM." Chen Wenxu replied respectfully.

Bai Sheng nodded, looking at his watch. "There are still two hours left, inform me when it was time."

"Sure Boss."

Bai Sheng waved his hand and eyed the mountain of papers in front of him, and just like that, he buried his head into it for two hours.

At 11:55 AM, he was forced to look up as he and his secretary went to the capital airport.

Coincidentally, the moment they arrived at the airport, they saw an old woman with wrinkles and in a trench coat with a scarce wrapped around her neck walking out of the VIP passageway.

"Sheng!" The old woman called out happily, recognizing her grandson at first sight.

She was in her late seventy but was as healthy as one could be, and she was full of elegance honed from young.

Her silver hair was packed together with a jade hairpin and she look cheerful.

"Grandmother." A small smile graced Bai Sheng's lips as walk to the old woman, she was the only one that was good to him after his mother's death and if it wasn't for her, he wasn't sure that he wouldn't have been killed already when he was still a teen by that stepmother of his.

"Come, come let me hug you." Old Madam Bai said delightedly, looking at the boy. She was glad that he didn't take his good look after that bastard son of hers but instead from her mother.

Bai Sheng went forward and hugged the woman.

"Why do I feel like you have become thinner again? Are you overworking yourself" Old Madam Bai's eyes were full of worry, as she pulled away from the hug.

Bai Sheng blinked and shook his head, "No grandmother, it is because it has been long since you last saw me that made you feel that way."

The old woman sighed as they walked to Bai Sheng's Rolls Royce and the chauffeur respectively opened the door for them.

"How is that bastard's mistress? Did she make things difficult for you?"

The mistress was naturally Luo Yang whom Old Madam Bai refused to acknowledge.

"No grandma." Bai Sheng shook his head.

Make things difficult for him? That was in the past before he met Feng Xi.

Her face automatically appeared in his head moment he thought of her and he couldn't help but purse his lips. He still hasn't found the perfect opportunity to confess his love.

Sighing, he changed the topic.

"How was your stay over there? Grandma."

"Aya, can't you see that I turned out more beautiful? That's one of the things that a good environment can do for you. And that's why I am advising you to move out for that bastard's mistress, lest she wears you out."

Bai Sheng's mouth twitched slightly when he heard this.

For goodness sake, he is not that mistress's husband.

Soon, the car reached the mansion.

Maids were already standing outside and the moment the Old madam stepped out of the car, they all bowed and greeted her respectfully.

Old Madam Bai waved at them and entered the mansion and Butler Jiang followed after her.

She and Butler Jiang were once classmates and were of the same age.

"Old madam, you are back."

"Aya, see, Ah Sheng." She said, pointing at Butler Jiang's wrinkled face and said. "That's the result when one stays with a jinx."

Butler Jiang shook his head and said nothing. For he knew that the person the old madam was referring to as jinx was naturally her daughter-in-law, Luo Yang.

Many will address her as a bad mother-in-law but everyone close to the Bai family knew the reason and the history behind this character of hers.
