Small Revenge

Layla storms off from the Boss's room in fumes. Her face was so dark as if a bottle of ink splashed on her. Fred saw her furiously went out from Allen's room and disappeared before he had a chance to speak.

Thinking about that guy, he quickly went in to see Allen rubbing his bluish jaw, grimacing at the pain. Fred sighed and went forward to take the first aid kit at the nearby cabinet and sat at the table in front of Allen.

He leans at the edge of the table and stared at the man meaningfully. Allen saw the discontent Fred and rolls his eyes.

" Not you now..." Allen sulking and pull his face bitterly. Fred shook his head and push open the box and took out the cream. After pinching a bit on his finger, he grabs Allen's face roughly and smears the cream on his bluish jaw.

" You deserved it! You knew her temper, but you keep forcing her to accept the job. Tell me, why you wholeheartedly help Adrian?" Fred crossed his hands and raised an eyebrow questioningly. Feeling the lost from the touch, Allen whimper.

" Adrian is my friend, so..."

" your old crush, Allen. I know that." Fred snorted and cut his words halfways.

" Fine, my old crush. But, he a straight man, so I understand that. I told him about Layla last year at our class reunion event. So, basically, he gets interested. Amongst us, only he knows my dark background family. Just, we lost in communication for almost a year. Only, recently he calls me back to ask for help. So...yes, I agree."

" You had me now, Allen. Tell me, why you told her that matter? You can just ask her to become a bodyguard, no need to tell her about Adrian had some hot for her. Be honest, why you do that?"

" I told you, I want to help-...!" Allen shut his mouth after seeing Fred glaring at him, daring him to keep lying. Finally, he admits defeat.

" Fine, fine...I feel irritated. I like him the first time I saw him at the college entrance examination. I confess to him three times, but he heartlessly rejects it. So, when I heard he get interested in Layla, I decide to get some revenge..." Allen's voice becomes smaller and smaller when he saw how dark Fred's expression be.

" Can you not be so childish? He rejects you to let you know he not interested in the same-sex relationship. You yourself know it. If he basically not giving you a clear answer because he pitying you, I would look down on him. Allen, you can't force someone to like you back as much as you like him. You had me now, so why keep remembering some past failed love? Don't tell me you still can't forget him?" Fred's expression turned cold and hard. Allen went silent.

Taking his silent as 'Yes', Fred sat up and walked to the door without words.

" Wait, Fred! I..."

" Go back to cool your head and find me at my room." The door slammed shut. Allen sat back at his leather chair, tiredly. He rubbed his forehead and cursed inside his mind.

'How stupid you are, Allen.' After half an hour, he walked out of his room and went to find Fred to apologize.

Fred was right, that was in the past. He had Fred right now. So, why bother about some old crush? He decides to befriend with Adrian and forget the past event.

Now, he stands in front of Fred's room. After taking some breath to calm himself, he knocked. The door opened from inside. He saw Fred already change his nightwear and looks fresh.

" Come in," Before Fred walk aside to allow him inside, his body was slammed to the wall with great force. Fred sucked in cold breath at the pain, but the man slams him shut before he could open his mouth to berate him. Feeling the man's frustration, he let him be.

The kissing sounds vibrate throughout the room and soon the temperature rose. The dark night becomes lighter and lighter, and later, the sun rose to splash the Earth with its lights and warmth.
