29 29. Kidnapping

Boom!!!

A loud blast noises startled Layla to her core. She put the book on the desk before quickly ran to the crowded window in her classroom. She pushed them to the side, giving her a good sight of black smokes blooming like a mushroom in the air. She frowned as she heard loud sirens of firefighter trucks and police patrol cars. The blasting smoke was not far away from the school ground. A bad premonition creeping inside her heart as she familiar with the location of bombarded.

Terrorist attacks?

She returns to the podium, taking out her private phone to call Lily, her assistant. After two rings, it's connected. Before she could ask Lily's panicked and frantic tones greet her.

" Hello? Winter, this is bad! Our second base has been attacked! Liam and Jing heavily injured, on the way to the hospital." Lily's fingers literally flying on top of the keyboard, typing faster and faster as her face turned uglier and uglier. She cursed out loud, with a loud bam on the table.

" F*ck! It's Dragon Snake Gang! Our location was exposed to the enemy! Winter, I suggest you go back home with Evan now! The situation is dangerous to both of you. I already call Boss for retreating order!"

Layla frowned before agreed. " Got it! Stay safe." The call ended. She slung her handbag on her shoulder and saw Evan standing on the window, looking at the scene.

She walked faster and grab Evan's arm. Evan stunned to see how serious Layla's expression this time.

" We need to go. Now!" Layla picks up Evan's school bag and drags him out of the class. He quickly follows her and had a bad premonition. That bombing is not a coincidence? He pulls out his secret device to send SOS to his Uncle.

Meanwhile, in Chang Cooperation HQ, a morning meeting was held in the meeting room. Adrian sat on the furthermost office chair, listening to the usual reports and presentations from various departments, starting from the Financial Department.

Suddenly, beeping noises halt the meeting abruptly, sending displeasure to all the people inside. They cursed that person in their heart for disturbing the meeting.

Adrian glanced at his phone, seeing a new message light and the sound of vibration attract the people to his phone. Adrian raises his hand, stopping the presentation that currently ongoing.

He slides open his phone, reading the message with a frown. He shot up from his seat, and rush outside leaving the meeting room in a hurry. The people inside stunned silly at the sudden missing of their CEO.

What is the actual hell was happening just now? Did they being abandoned? By their CEO himself? They turned their attention towards Adrian's assistant but soon discovered that assistant also MIA. What the hell?!

When they're trying to make any assumptions, Adrian already on his way to the parking lot in the basement.

" What the hell is going on?!" Adrian's expression is currently darker than the bottom of the pot. The SOS message he got from Evan already push him to the edge.

His assistant currently on the phone, asking for the exact situation that happened in the morning. After some time, his face as dark as Adrian's. He hangs up the call, trying to organize his mind and the information he got earlier on.

" There is an attack nearing on Young Master Evan's school this morning. The hidden bodyguards give a report that Young Master Evan and Miss Layla was currently missing in action. They can't track any leads right now as this attack has been classified as the level of terrorist attacks. And the attacker is Dragon Snake Gang..."

" What did you say?!" Adrian's face becomes terrible and scary as a cold, vicious murderous aura burst from within his body.

" Track her down right now! Find another lead if the first one is useless! By hook or by crook, you must find them! Alive!!"

" Yes, Master!" His assistant quickly calling for an expert they recruited earlier in this morning.

Adrian's heart thumping loudly, beating his chest until he felt nothing but fear. This feeling sending numbs through his body, make it shivered. He claps the phone tightly, hoping for news of survival.

Buzzzz!

Adrian startled as his phone vibrates in his hands. He quickly swipes open to take a look but saw something horrified.

In the phone is a picture. A bloody picture of a woman being tortured in a cross pole. They hide her face under the black bag, but he recognized the cloth she wearing this morning. Most importantly, the ring. Their wedding ring hanging on her bloody neck, twinkling under the dim lights.

His mind blank. His eyes stare straight at the picture, hoping for this woman, not his wife. Not his Layla.

Tears dripping...

But, no. That slim figure was someone he familiar with. The same body he indulges every night, the same body he touches on every sensitive spot, the same body he loved with care and adoration.

The tears in his eyes stop abruptly. His mind as if being clicked open with something dangerous struggling to get out. The long-lost feeling that he hides for a long time ago now awakens completely. His hand pulled out another phone under the car seat.

" Drake, lead our team members to wipe out the Dragon Snake Gang completely. No survivor needed to spare." His coldblooded voice rang, sending chill and terror to the people inside the car and across the phone.

" Yes!" Click.
