Final Verdict

Yeom Tae fell to the ground, panickingly holding his father while he was breathing away his last breaths. Yeom Jae looked at his son, then his wife who refused to look at him. It was understandable. He wasn't the best husband one could have. He wasn't the best father either but seeing how Yeom Tae was holding him, he felt surreal.

"Yeom T-Tae-" He tried to speak but ended up coughing a gush of blood.

"Don't speak, Abeoji!" Yeom Tae panickingly said as his voice shook. He had never thought that he'd have to see a day like this.

Yeom Jae's eyes traveled to Haneul who was still standing behind them, crying and trembling as he took his last breaths. As his eyes met with Haneul, she suddenly felt a rush of guilt, causing her to sit beside him.

"Y-Yeom Tae, let me do what I can." She hesitantly spoke.
