Using a magic quartz to teleport people somewhere would always release a torrent of MP. It was an inoffensive torrent, so it wouldn't hurt anyone, but the problem was that it was easy to sense.
Considering that there was a powerful mage among the enemies, we needed to do our best to hide the MP that the quartz produced, or he would instantly know our location.
We built the underground room inside our own, making a trap door that led to the bottom and using earth magic to shape the terrain into a sizeable cave-looking area.
