Chapter 13: Departure of the Heroes and Heroines

In a palace in the Dark Miasma region, Devil God Wang Dafei was seated in his study room while thinking deeply about something. The report on the failure of the 'fake secret realm plan' he had just gotten was put to the side without being looked at, it was only one of the many in his pile of documents on the desk. The change in the situation in the Blue River region was surprising but as a great cultivator that reached such a level he wasn't bothered by such a small matter.

Even losing the Sun Clan didn't affect him much, they weren't his only mole in the Li corporation.

He was thinking about something more important. He didn't believe that Li Cheng, that bastard, would dare have an affair outside. Li Ying would have made him lose his balls if he did that he knew them enough to be assured of that. So there some the question, whose child was the little girl in the rumor? The time of her appearance was coinciding with the time when differents change happened to his old enemy, the numerous incidents that foiled his plans in the Blue River region also happened at that time.

He was feeling very suspicious about the lucky coincidence happening one after another. He always believed that the Heaven above treated all the living being like dogs and wouldn't interfere with the matter bellow like a watching bystander. He then concluded that there must be an intervention from something else. It was something that may affect all his plans as a whole and he must find out what that was before it was too late.

As he contemplated the possible scheme he could use to investigate.

The door of his study suddenly opened without any knock. A young lady about eighteen years old entered inside without waiting for his permission and just stood here as if waiting for his words, she had long white silky hair reaching her back and a beautiful face that illuminated the surrounding, her eyes were dark blue like the deep sea and she was wearing a white dress with blue flowers patterns on it. Her appearance was in a stark contrast to the gloomy environment around her, the young lady just looked at Wang Dafei silently, her expression was quite nonchalant despite standing before the feared Dark Cult leader.

Wang Dafei didn't burst in anger seeing her act like this like one would have expected, he didn't look away from his desk and said calmly instead:

"Prepare yourself for your mission. From now on, you will be called Feng Ling, a young lady of the Fairy race that will enroll in the Great Dao Academy of Prodigies as a freshman, you will depart to the Central continent tomorrow." Wang Dafei then finally turned to looked at her expression after announcing such an abrupt statement, but she didn't even frown. He felt satisfied seeing that. She was one of his most elaborated plan to deal a fatal blow to Li Cheng and the Li clan, it took him fifteen years to raise her from an orphan to a monster that even he was felling apprehensive of now.

"From today onward, you can only depend on yourself, the skills that you ingrained in your body will be the only thing you can believe in."

He said coldly before sending her off. He believed in the hell like training he made her go through and achieved with unparalleled result, the other were all either dead or broken beyond repair. Betrayal was expected from her, and he wouldn't be surprised if she killed him someday for no particular reason, since it was her. But, he can be sure of one thing, the mission will succeed without a doubt.

Feng Ling didn't show any reaction from the beginning to the end, as she walked out of the study. She knew that she was just used as a tool but she wasn't bothered about that. As long as she could relieve her boredom, any mission or task was nothing more than that for her, a task that needed to be completed, the world may collapse tomorrow it wouldn't matter to her.

At the same time in the house in the Peach garden.

"Do you have everything ready, don't forget to bring enough change of cloths, I know that you like that blue robe but wearing the same thing everyday feel wrong no matter the world we are in."

"How is your preparation? You didn't forget that we can't go back here while on the way right? Sun Jia would remark that something is off."

Li Yun answered her with an ethereal voice while keeping his eyes outside the window:

"In this life, I only need a sword and a pot of wine, my roof is the night sky, my bedding is the vast earth, I am the carefree drunken immortal!"

Li Ya looked at him speechlessly, she then said with a strange voice:

"Weren't you a staff user though? And you aren't even old enough to drink alcohol."

"...."

People should only drink alcohol when they reach the proper age…

Li Ya then walked out and went back to her bedroom uncaring of his ashen face, the shadow of a cat shaking his head was seen by the door before it also disappeared.

In the Scalding Lava region in the west, In an austere room, a young man with fire red short hair was seated respectfully before a buffy middle-aged man with bushy red hair dancing like flames and a rugged brown beard, they seemed very different but the similar black horn on their head showed their blood relationship.

As the the father and son duo looked at each other silently, a lady in her thirty who had similarity with the young man but with medium black hair, and acted childish for her age burst into the scene, she then said:

"What are you doing? Shouldn't you ready to go now Long Xuan? Do you need something from your father?"

She then asked a bunch of other questions, without caring that there were no responses. In the end, the middle-aged man gave a cough to stop her. She then sat down beside him and waited for Long Xuan to say something. She made such a beautiful picture when she was silent, such a pity...

The young man Long Xuan then looked at them solemnly and said:

"Father Emperor, Mother, I am going now. Fret not as I shall not put any shame on our clan."

As they walked further and further; in the distance, a beautiful lady with long blue hair reaching the earth bellow stood alone, she looked ethereal and distant without any attachment to this world as she looked at them on their way. Many young heroes sand heroines were leaving their homeland and family behind to go on a journey to a distant place in the Center of the continent, to reach for the noblest and oldest institution of the whole continent that only the most talented individuals could hope to attend : that was the Great Dao Academy of Prodigies!

Li Yun, Li Ya and Sun Jia were also ready to go to on their journey, Liu Guan would also accompany them as Li Yun's personal aid. The Li clan had a personal residence in the vicinity of the Academy but they were worried that he would have some trouble alone so they sent this promising future steward to follow him.

As they went in the car to depart and leave the Blue Sky city, Li Yun couldn't help but feel emotional, it was the first time he would be leaving home for such a long time, there was some sadness that showed on his face; but it faded when he saw his mother point at his cloth with reproach, he hurried Li Ya and Sun Jia in the car and told Liu Guan to drive forward. Better get going quickly or she would confiscate his Seven Star Robe.

"Brother Li Yun, Sister Li Ya, Sister Sun Jia, take care on your way!"

The car then sped away under the patents' gazes. Father Li Cheng couldn't help but say to mother Li Ying now that they were alone:

"Can't you leave him wear it like he want? You aren't that against wearing the same clothes as long as it's clean and proper no?"

Mother Li shot him a look before saying:

"I am doing it so that he feel that he is winning something by wearing that robe; it would lessen his need of making trouble. Men are all the same, as long as you let them think that they won at something they would become more obedient."

She then turned away to go back in the mansion, there were still some works that needed to be done in the plan to spread the Blue River school.

Tyrant Saber God Li Cheng was left alone here, he seemed to be in deep thought, after a while he woke up from his daydreaming and said:

"So that's why! I always felt that something was wrong when she refused to make a house and wanted to buy an apartment instead, I made so much effort in order to convince her and even accepted to give up on my dream of a camping car…."

It was never too late to learn something in life…..
