Lucille rubbed her head. She heard Joseph's voice coming from the stairs. It drifted over in a meaningful tone.
"It was just luring you over at most."
Any fish could be lured over with bait.
Lucille stood up from the ground and grumpily retorted, "Exactly. I took the bait!"
Joseph raised his eyebrows and did not comment.
Lucille took a deep breath and asked, "You put in so much effort to deceive me. What is it that you have to say?"
There was no way that was all he had to say.
Joseph had a deep look in his eyes as he met Lucille's gaze. He opened his thin lips and said slowly, "Bobo, you've been going to see Frank these two days, haven't you?"
Lucille was stunned for a moment before she replied frankly, "Yes."
Joseph's Adam's apple bobbed, and a dark glint flashed across his deep eyes.
He asked in a low voice, "How far have you and him gone?"
"What?"
