Well, that's some audacity!
Hendric rolled his eyes, clearly vexed. He couldn't stand people like Charles, the epitome of selfishness and self-centeredness. Charles always seemed to have an uncanny knack for being irritating.
Seeing that Charles, the stubborn fool, was actually determined to venture up the mountain, Hendric grabbed him and, with irritation in his voice, said, "Alright, enough of this nonsense. Let me be clear: the mountain is dangerous. Just stay put and don't cause trouble for the rest of us!"
Hendric's well-intentioned advice was met with a cold laugh from Charles.
"Don't use that tone to command me, you don't have the authority!"
Charles brushed aside Hendric's hand dismissively, his face twisted in disgust, as if he'd touched something foul.
Frustration coursed through Hendric as he once again positioned himself in front of Charles. "I've already warned you about the dangers up there. Can't you just listen to reason?"
"Get out of my way!"
