The boy's back was exposed to Lucille as his collar was tugged on.
Strangely, even though the child's face and hands were pale and clean, the skin color on his back was uneven. Looking carefully, one could find that his skin was half dark and half pale.
How could anyone get a tan like that?
Lucille frowned, but she was not curious about a kid she was not familiar with. She raised her hand and picked up the unconscious Charlie and put him in the car.

In the pediatric hospital...
There was an IV needle stuck into the back of Charlie's hand as he lay in the hospital bed. When the two IV drips were about to be hung up, the child finally opened his eyes.
"Miss?"
Charlie looked around, and finally, his eyes fell on Lucille, who was beside the bed.
Lucille glanced at him and asked, "Are you awake? How do you feel?"
