getting famous?

"what...is happening". Nora shakes her head." Do you know what you just did?". I look by her side and see someone running towards us with lightening speed. the instructor stands in front of me greedily taking up all lot of oxygen. "woah calm down". I lift my hands up in a 'i surrender' way.

"lady, we were having a tryout for the championship and you just wowed everyone with your moves. I'm proud to announce you will be our star jumper and team captain". he grabs my hand for a handshake. An applaud is heard and everyone follows suite even Nora.

" this is your time to shine". he says with a wide grin. I run my hand through my hair, "I'm so sorry sir but I wasn't trying out". I awkwardly say with a corresponding laugh. "I know but you have won our hearts....so... will you come and win that trophy for us" he lifts his hand to his chest in a pleading way.

damn I just had to show off didn't I... how do I get out of this.

"I'm sorry I can't I've got asthma ha ha". I quickly turn and walk straight to class without look back.

I get to the class room. sigh. "hey!". ahhh. I turn around to face a paranoid Nora. " do you know what you just refused to?". she asks.

"uh... a jumping contest". I say reluctantly. I sit comfortably in my sit and look up to Nora. "you just missed a chance to become famous. with a jump like that you could be really known and wealthy too and you just refused". sigh

that was what I actually averted. you see, as a newcomer, getting famous especially on your first day is what I call bully-attractor. let's say I agreed and became famous I will be bullied so... to avoid any one trying to test their strength on me I have to stay still and hidden no matter what. Nora snaps her fingers. "I really don't like getting open or anything". Nora collapse on her chair defeated" I wish I had that talent" she murmured loud enough for me to hear.

I yawn persistently as tears form in my eyes. maybe just a little rest. I lay my head on the desk and sleep off.
