I pick up the pieces on the ground in tears. I feel aggrieved and tired.
The dinner tonight was arranged by Bill, my father's assistant and the dress was also bought by him. When I saw the dress, I did not want to wear at the first thought. It was so short and I knew it was used to please men. I even thought that maybe Bill was the kind of bad person who wanted to take advantage of me.
But the only thing I could do was to get dressed and go to the restaurant. After my father's death, Bill was the only one who were willing to approach me and talk about the company affairs. Before I have the chance to be independent and to know more about the company, I can only depend on Bill. So I need to believe him. If I believe him, the most important thing for the company is to get investment, so I need to have a dinner with the two bankers.
