Family

Family. That is something that can define what type of person one will become. They are the first person we met and they love us unconditionally. Even having lived a previous life, Abraham considered Dracul as his father. Even in this world, his family member was the same as in his past. A parent with an elder brother. His mother had died when giving birth in both worlds. Only this time he got the chance to have a real caring and gentle father.

It has been a year since Albus went to military school. Before going, Dracul decided to distribute his heritage with them.

The apartment they had will belong to both sons. Next, Dracul gave each of them 5 basic beast crystals. Abraham had a liking for their heritage book, so it was given to him and in exchange, Albus received 60 percent of the total credit left. A good trade from Abraham's point of view.

Abraham being four now has started helping take care of the house. In return, his father had to spend more time training him. Feeling that the plastic toy was too easy, Abraham asked his father to use a wooden stick. When Dracul started swinging the stick more rapidly and saw his son neither in any type of pain nor any bruise left on his body, he was convinced of Abraham's inner energy story.

He then started training Abraham more seriously.

"Son, I'm getting tired now, my body is old now". Dracul stopped the training exercise and went to grab some water. Abraham nodded and closed his eyes to feel his Qi.

Abraham also started training on the second stage of Qi. While the first one was more about strengthening the inner body, stage two allows the user to coat his body and even his weapon which he touches with Qi. Abraham wanted to reach a full Qi-coated body before using the heritage book.

Right now he was able to cover only his left hand with Qi. Focusing to expand the Qi, he suddenly heard a big sound coming from the kitchen.

"Dad, everything alright?" Abraham asked but was met with complete silence. He dashed near the sink to only found Dracul lying on the floor.

Activating every cell with Qi in his body, Abraham used the extra strength to lay his father on his back. After confirming Dracul's breathing was correct, Abraham lifted his father's leg above the heart level. After some seconds Dracul gained consciousness back.

Feeling worried, Abraham phoned Jane his foster mother who they still remained in contact, and both of them took Dracul to a doctor.

Destiny was not kind. The doctor informed them that a previous injury near his heart has started to cause Dracul's heart problem. Only a healer ability user could heal such an injury but alas all were currently near the battlefield with the still ongoing war.

Returning home, Dracul asked Abraham to come to sit next to him.

"Abraham my son, I don't wish for you to worry about my condition. I know my heart was failing since I retired. I wanted to spend the rest of my time with my family. But now it feels like Alita your mother is calling for me. She has been so alone for 4 years and now it's my time to join her. I should not be saying such words to my child, but you are much more mature than you look. I know for certain that you will be able to cope better with my departure than Albus. You are special Abraham. You won against death and now you are even so strong. My wish is that you live a beautiful and long life, find yourself a life partner in the future and take care of your elder brother." Dracul caressed Abraham's head while saying those words.

Any third individual would have been dumbfounded by the talks from Dracul, but Dracul knew that Abraham was like no other child. His body was that of a 4-year-old, but his mind and behavior were like that of an adult.

As for his elder son, Dracul would phone Albus afterward to make him aware of his situation. Albus had already found himself a girlfriend in the military, so Dracul was not so worried about him.

A few months went by and Abraham spent together with his father until on a Sunday afternoon, death came knocking on the door of Dracul's life.

It was a great day to rain as Abraham could hide his tears behind them. The funeral took place with Abraham, Albus, and Jane. Albus had gotten permission for 3 days to mourn before returning to the military.

After those three days, Jane took Abraham to her place to live with her.

Left in his own world, Abraham started to push beyond his limit in his training.

Time waits for no one, and slowly everyone started to change and adapt. After a year, the Talen family increased with the birth of a baby boy. Albus got married after the military with Ginny and together they got Quinn, the main character in the novel. At that time, Abraham was already five.

For the first time since his father, Abraham was back in their family's apartment. He was carrying his luggage having decided to finally live independently. Jane was obviously against such a decision but Abraham had to persist. After tidying, he keep his luggage on his bed and sat for meditation.

Five years have elapsed since Dracul's death. Abraham was now 10. The time when children start showing signs of their ability. Abraham was finally ready to take the next step.

Abraham has already mastered both the 1st and 2nd stages of Qi.

The 3rd stage allowed the user to use Qi as an attack. It was done by projecting the Qi outside the body. Abraham had already moved to the third stage for two years, and he was able to release Qi without any physical contact.

Today he wasn't trying to perfect the third stage but he was focusing on the 4th. The soul.

Soul weapon was like a second will inside a person. It grew next to one's heart and to access it a user had to turn off his brain and search for it. That was why many found it hard to achieve. Soul weapon has been categorized into two:

Enhancement type. This can give your ability as a special trait.

Item type. This can be in the form of anything. Their uses aren't as apparent at first. However, your ability has been infused into it.

Among all the people no non-ability user had even found a soul weapon inside them, thus considered to be inclusive to only ability users. But in the novel, many years after the story progress, a Qi master has been able to do so.

Right now, Abraham has stopped his every brain process, something he was familiar with when he was meditating as a baby. Next, he guided all his Qi to his heart and its surrounding. A warm feeling started to develop all on its own. The feeling changed from what he usually felt during Qi training when the feeling turned into a warm flame.

On opening his eyes, Abraham found himself in a white room. He could only see up to 5 meters in front of him and everywhere else was in a white fog. If not for the white floor beneath him, Abraham would have thought he was on clouds.

What was distinct in the room was two different colored flames; the big one was a green flame. A nice and calming feeling came from it. That represented Abraham's Qi.

By its side, a very tiny brown-crimson color laid dormant without flinching. Unlike its appearance, a very hunormous pressure was coming from it. Abraham smiled after seeing that having recognized its origin.
